As soon as Sakura exited the "hole", sand immediately circled her ankles and crawled up to her knees. She didn't panic, because, as far as she knew, there were only two people in the world who could do this. And one of those people was herself.

"Sakura! I've been looking all over this goddamn village for you." Was what the pinkette heard before she was glomped from behind by a redhead she knew all too well.

This made her face heat up as she tried to contain the growing smile that was forcing itself on her face. But it soon turned into a glare when she noticed all three of her teammates looking at her with smirks.

When he realized how uncharacteristic he was acting, Gaara promptly released the pink kunoichi, but gently rested his hands on her upper arms. And after clearing his throat he said, "Look, there's not much time. Basically the entire population is rallying for your execution, all six of you," The suna nin turned his attention to everyone. "It's a miracle I found you before they did, the remaining council members sent hundreds of ANBU to find and kill you," Sasuke inhaled sharply, so Itachi wasn't lying.

"And they've also abolished the Hokage position, said it causes too much trouble," Gaara finished, earning several gasps and murmurs of disbelief.

"First they kill my father, and now they disrespect his memory! I won't let them get away with this dattebayo!" Naruto exclaimed.

In retrospect, shouting like that wasn't the best idea when you're being hunted, for obvious reasons. Naruto realized this as soon as ANBU came out of the surrounding greenery and encircled the seven of them.

Everyone but the Sannin looked at the ANBU warily. There were easily over fifty of them.

"Tch, is that the best Konoha can do?" After Tsunade said that, about a hundred more ANBU appeared, making both Jiraiya and Orochimaru glare at her.

"You officially have the worst luck, Tsunade."(as if she didn't already) The white-haired Sannin said, his face was grim but his eyes twinkled with amusement. But it was short lived as about 50 ANBU charged at Team 7 and Gaara, while the rest of them approached the Sannin.

As soon as the masked nins charged at her, Sakura created her armor suit again, but only covered her torso because she used the extra as knives. She took down ten attackers by throwing her tungsten shards until she was forced into the air by a Bijuu Bomb.

"Naruto!" Sakura yelled angrily.

"Gomen Sakura-chan!" The blonde replied quickly before returning his attention to the ANBU in front of him, not noticing the three ninjas creeping up behind him until they were too close for comfort.

"You know better than to leave your back open, Dobe." Naruto looked to his raven-haired teammate with a slight blush and a glare.

"Shut up Teme." Sasuke smirked and rolled his eyes before jumping back into the fray.

Amaterasu would be too risky in this close combat, he could easily catch one of his teammates on fire without noticing. So instead, "Katon: Goukakyuu no jutsu," the ravenette said before summoning a mass of flame that was about the size of his head. The ex-Uchiha then threw it in the general direction of several ANBU just before they could overwhelm Kakashi, who nodded in thanks to Sasuke.

"Is that all of them?" Sakura asked tiredly. Gaara nodded, unlike the Team 7 genin, he barely broke a sweat.

"What took you brats so long? We took down twice as many ANBU as you and still finished first!" Jiraiya exclaimed proudly as he and his teammates approached the five of them. Making Kakashi run to him with hearts in his eyes.

"Forgive me Jiraiya-sama! I won't disappoint you again!" Tsunade chortled as the masked jounin latched onto Jiraiya's leg like a koala. Sasuke however, wasn't amused.

"And that's our sensei."

Sakura was completely oblivious to what was happening around her and was instead staring at the ground, deep in thought. Nobody really noticed until she spoke up, "Ne, Naruto. I know this isn't the best time but something's been bugging me. What happened to your mother exactly? You never talk about her and I've never seen her in the village."

The atmosphere changed instantly, and everyone was waiting for Naruto's response.

"She died in childbirth." The blonde jinchuuriki looked down after saying that, and most of the others gave him sympathetic looks and pats on the back. Everyone but Tsunade.

"Kushina was anything but dead after giving birth to you. How much bullshit has Danzo been feeding you all?" Sakura furrowed her brows.

"You helped deliver Naruto didn't you?" The blonde Sannin smirked and hummed in confirmation. Now it was Kakashi's turn to furrow his brows...or at least his visible one.

"So there was no reason for Kushina to have died that day. I know for a fact that she didn't fight to contain Kurama like Minato and the third did..." Orochimaru turned to the group.

"I think we can all agree this has Danzo written all over it. In the meantime, we're sitting ducks here." Naruto glanced at the snake Sannin questioningly.

"Where will we go 'ttebayo?" Sakura started walking out of the forest and in the direction of Konoha's gates.

"We sure as hell can't stay here." Gaara silently followed the pinkette, matching her stride. And soon, the Sannin, Naruto, and Sasuke followed. Once Sakura realized they were missing someone she stopped in her tracks and turned around. "Kakashi, nani?"

Her sensei looked at her lazily. "I need to get my Icha Icha first."
