Naruto waited for the searing pain of the Rasengan, or what he imagined the Rasengan to feel like. He only knew it would be painful.

It was coming, he could hear Jiraiya's footsteps become louder. This was it, this was the end of Naruto Namikaze-Uzumaki.

He was expecting a sharp pain through his chest, or maybe an arm burnt off. Naruto was so caught up in thinking about what the Rasengan would feel like, that he didn't realize that Jiraiya wasn't aiming for him at all.

The swirling blue ball flew over Naruto's head, causing both Orochimaru and Sasuke to stop fighting and watch with a smirk and a gaping jaw respectively. The raven-haired genin couldn't believe it, Jiraiya had missed.

Or maybe he didn't miss. Sakura didn't see any possible reason for the Rasengan to run off course. Maybe he had noticed the last minute tungsten and wind shield she had put up between him and Naruto, but that didn't explain why he didn't just cancel the jutsu. What could he hope to accomplish by lobbing such a deadly attack into the air?

The kunoichi's question was soon answered. After throwing the Rasengan into the air, Jiraiya punched the thin metal separating him and Naruto. Due to Sakura's lack of concentration, it cracked into three large pieces. Those tungsten shards were thrown up into the air because of Sakura's wind shield that was behind the metal shield.

One of the shards had flown directly in the way of the Rasengan. When the two collided the tungsten shattered, but not before the Rasengan went careening towards Minato, hitting the Hokage head on.

This invoked many outraged shouts from the crowd.  Many were shocked that the Toad Sage would attack his own student, and several of the shinobi in the audience looked ready to fight Jiraiya if it came down to it.

But reality had yet to set in for Team 7. Naruto was still wrapping his head around the fact that he was still alive, Sakura couldn't believe she had indirectly attacked the Yondaime, and Sasuke was just taking a really long time to comprehend everything.

"Tch, that's not Minato. He would've been able to dodge that." Tsunade said, lifting herself to her feet from behind Sakura and cracking her jaw back into place. "Damn girl, you sure pack a punch." The pinkette couldn't speak as she watched Tsunade walk towards her as if she hadn't sustained any injuries. She probably healed herself while Sakura was distracted.

"Don't let your guard down, he probably wants to underestimate us," Orochimaru said. What the hell was going on? Sakura was thankful they weren't trying to beat her team into the ground anymore, but now the Hokage? That was treason!

"Minato! It's one thing to lock yourself in your office day in and day out. But to neglect your only child and force him to fight me? You can't blame Kushina for something like that! There's no excuse for willingly putting your son in such a deadly situation!" Jiraiya yelled at the Yondaime, who chuckled and got back onto his feet.

"I should have known the Sannin would be onto me." Sasuke furrowed his brows at the cryptic sentence.

"This isn't you Minato! I know Kushina leaving wouldn't have this kind of effect on you!" Jiraiya yelled, causing the blonde Hokage to chuckle darkly.

"You're right, it isn't like Minato. I guess my extermination method was a bit too flashy this time." Huh? Why did Minato refer to himself in the third person? This was getting weirder and weirder. First Jiraiya's Rasengan and now this? Sasuke's head was beginning to spin.

"Extermination method?" Sakura whispered to herself, what did the Yondaime mean? The pinkette looked to her two teammates. Sasuke obviously didn't have a clue as to what was going on, (he looked like he was about to puke) but Naruto had an air of betrayal around him.

"Outou-san, you were the one who sent those ANBU after me?" Sakura audibly gasped, while Sasuke's nauseous faced morphed into a murderous glare.

"What ANBU Naruto?" The ravenette asked darkly. His blonde teammate smiled sheepishly in response.

"It's nothing really...besides, now isn't the time." Sasuke dropped the subject, but it was clear that he would inquire about it later. Team 7 then turned their attention back to Minato.

"Eh, since my cover is basically blown and you're all going to die soon I may as well go all out. I'm not your father Naruto. I never was." What? Sakura felt uneasy. In part, because the Yondaime was talking in riddles, but mostly because she didn't know whether to side with the Hokage or not.

The pink-haired kunoichi was snapped out of her thoughts when Tsunade burst out laughing. "Looks like you don't know your own student as well as you thought! You might as well pay up now Jiraiya!" The white-haired ninja smirked confidently.

"You didn't win yet." What? Were they betting on Minato? Sasuke studied the blonde Hokage as he began to speak again.

"Shut up brats. You both realize you're going to die here?" The Yondaime Hokage snapped his fingers. And then... nothing happened. He snapped his fingers for a second time, and again, nothing happened.

Minato then turned to the Kazekage, "You! Fight them!" Everyone watched as the Rasa silently lifted himself to his feet and pulled out a kunai from his robes. But instead of charging at Team 7 and the Sannin, he swiftly pressed the knife to Minato's neck and spoke calmly, completely ignoring the Konoha shinobi in the audience who were about to attack him.

"Shimura Danzo," Orochimaru looked at the Kazekage with a smirk, it seemed like the Sannin weren't the only people who did some digging. "You are being sentenced to death for murder, attempted murder, official misconduct, thievery, blackmail..." Nobody paid any attention to the words the Yondaime Kazekage was saying.

Most people were completely lost. One moment Jiraiya hit the Yondaime with a Rasengan, and the next thing they knew the Kazekage was holding Minato at knifepoint. And then there was Jiraiya, who looked completely and utterly defeated as Tsunade gave him a smug smirk. Why? The Toad Sage had just lost a bet to the Legendary Sucker.

"The impersonation of Namikaze Minato, and unauthorized genetic experimentation." (A/N: That's illegal right?) Rasa finished, slitting Minato/Danzo's throat.

The crowd roared in disbelief, and Sakura had to deflect many projectiles that were being thrown at Rasa. The Kazekage then disappeared in a cloud of dust, revealing Kakashi. It was another henge. And when people realized this, the crowd went silent once again.

The Leaf Jounin watched as blood slowly crept out of the small incision he had made on Danzo's neck. The elderly shinobi was clearly in pain, but he smirked nonetheless and took a shaky breath. "You won Kakashi, soon I'll be dead, and in three days your precious Yondaime will be too." Danzo lifted the sleeve of his non-bandaged arm, revealing a seal that Kakashi recognized instantly.

So Danzo was posing as Minato all along. Hehehe....Bet you weren't expecting that ;)
