Another morning at Ash's home. As always, our scientist woke up and found Serena, the newly named robot girl, staring at him. This made him jump back a bit

"Woah! What are you doing?" Ash asked

"Well, I had to wait until you wake up. So I couldn't do anything but staring at you" She said with a smile. Ash felt happy when he saw that. Since the day Serena learnt happy and sad, she had become a different robot. A special one

"Why don't you have some sleep?" Ash asked

"What is "sleep"? I didn't program to do that" She said

"Look, I'll install you a program. Just to help you get some sleep and dream, okay?" Ash asked and Serena nodded. He soon got out of bed, and as usual, Serena had to do what she'd been programmed

"Morning, Master Ash" Serena said, with the same smile. Ash, however, didn't feel comfortable with the name "master"

"From now on, just call me Ash, alright?" Ash said and she nodded again. And as a response, he replied but with a joke

"Good morning... Sebastien..." Ash said with his hand covered his mouth. He'd been using the name "Sebastien" to tease Serena since he found the name with "Se" in front. But his joke only gave him a punch to the shoulder from Serena

"It's Serena, damm it!" She pouted. However, Ash was surprised

"Since when you know how to swear?" He asked

"I'm not talking to you if you're not sorry for that!" She didn't look at Ash. He realized that she had learnt other feeling: Angry. But he didn't want to leave her like that. He turned her head around

"Okay, I'm sorry, Serena" Ash said with a chuckle and Serena smiled back. "Now, when did you learn how to swear?" Ash asked

"I... uh... I kinda stumbled some videos on the Internet" She said with a little steam from her head. That steam showed how embarrassed she was. Ash just stood there and thought. 'Wow, Internet is growing so fast' He thought in his mind and went downstairs to have breakfast.

After breakfast, he had something he needed to buy. He was about to walk out the door

"Safe trip, Ash" Serena said. But he could see a frown on her face

"What's wrong? Why are you sad?" Ash asked, but Serena just shook her head, trying to hide her expression

"Look, I'm not like other cruel master. Just tell me, maybe I can help" Ash walked toward and put his hand on her shoulder. She started to shed a tear. Ash had installed "Tears falling" for her brain, just to react when something bad happen

"It just... I felt lonely without you... Every time you went out... I kept having some strange and bad memories... It's... very lonely without you by my side, Ash..." She said with a couple of sniffs and more tears poured out from her eyes. Ash finally understood. He embraced her and gave her a hug, pushed her face to his chest and let her sobbed in it. She could feel some steam coming out from her head, but she didn't care.

"Don't cry, okay... You look less... adorable when you cry..." Ash said and shocked when he realized that. She looked up with watery eyes.

"A-Adorable?" She asked. Ash wiped away the tears and looked at her cerulean blue eyes

"Well... yeah" He scratched his nect in embarrassment. "Look, I have to go. I need some stuff to-" Before Ash could finish his sentence, he was tackled with a hug again

"Please... don't leave me... I won't feel safe without you..." She sobbed in his chest again and hugged him tightly, tried not to let him go. He lifted her chin and wiped away those tears. Then he got an idea

"Serena, how about you come with me?" Ash asked. This time, still that hug tackled him, still those tears, but it was tears of joy

"Thank you, Ash... Thank you..." She said delightful. Ash was happy again to see his robot girl happy. He pulled back from the hug

"So, shall we get going?" Ash asked. She nodded and followed him out of the house

The shopping trip was great, but in a positive way. During the trip, he could see some curious people talking about Serena. Look like they knew who she was, and what she was invented for. Of course he was angry, but this was fate. Flare Corp really did influence his life

"Ash, what are they talking about? And why are they pointing at me?" Serena asked. She felt unsafe, but less when she was with Ash

"Oh, nothing. They're curious" Ash said

"Why are they curious?" She asked. He knew his answer would lead to a thousand questions from Serena

"Because of how cute you are" Ash said and Serena started steaming, with more steam than before. Since that answer, she didn't talk or say anything. Ash just chuckled because of that. He knew his answer could help him shut her up in the rest of the trip.

When they finished the trip, with Serena hadn't said anything, Ash suddently stayed attention at Serena's clothes. It was normal, but an old dress with a hat didn't suit her. He knew what he had to do next

"Serena" Ash said, but no response

"Serena, hello?" Ash said again, but the same result

"Hey, Earth to Robot girl" Ash said and waved his hand in front of her face. She snapped out from her thought

"Oh, A-Ash!" She said. Ash knew this was his fault for this, but sometimes he had to do it

"I think I need one more thing to buy. For you" Ash said

"F-For me? But I didn't do anything for a reward" She said

"No, this is just something to mark our first going out" He said and leaded Serena to a clothes store, where he would meet his friend.

"Hello, welcome to- ASH!" The owner of the store, with blue long hair, ran toward him

"Hey Dawn" Ash said

"I saw the news. Glad you're okay" She said and looked next to him and saw Serena. But like other people, she realized what she was.

"Ash, that's-" She got cut off when Ash draged her to a corner

"Shh, I know. I'll explain someday. Just don't let she know that" He said and Dawn nodded. Then they returned to Serena. "Dawn, I need a little "change" for Serena's clothes. Can you help me?" Ash asked

Dawn looked at Serena, from head to bottom. She shook her head. "How could a lovely girl like you get to wear something like a rag? Anyone who gave you those must be a terrible and uncaring person" She asked, and Ash got triggered when he heard that

"Anyway, Ash, you have to wait. Serena, let's go" Dawn held Serena's hand and dragged her to the changing room, while Ash waiting outside

Ash knew this would be very long. It just girls' thing. When they chose their clothes and tried them, it usually took them more than 2 hours. He started to regret for what he'd done

A century later, Dawn finally got out from the room.

"Ash, say hello to the new Serena!" Dawn said and Serena walked out. She was wearing pink top with a matching skirt. She also wore a red waist coat and a pink fedora.

"So, how do I look?" She said with a small steam from her head. "Is she always steaming in some situations like this?" Dawn whispered to Ash, but he didn't care. He looked from the top to the bottom in awe

"You look... beautiful" Ash said with a smile, and Serena started steaming more.

"But I think something is missing" Dawn said. Ash then thought out what to do. He took out a small box from his shopping bag and opened it, revealed a blue ribbon

"Dawn, can you get me a scissors?" Ash asked and Dawn gave him that. He cut a small length of the ribbon, then tied it around Serena's collar.

"There, you look perfect now" Ash said and received a hug from Serena " Thanks, Ash" She said and Ash hugged back. Dawn just looked at that scene for a while, then spoke out

"That will be $3000, mister" Dawn said and Ash immediately pulled back

"What?!" That the only word he could say. He looked like he was about to faint, while Serena just giggled

"Well, that's the fate for buying your girlfriend some clothes, you lovey dovey" Dawn teased him and making he blush

"She's not my girlfriend!" Ash shouted and paid Dawn, then he and Serena walked out, going home. On the way home, he mumbled a word

"...yet"
