Warnings: Arguments and bullying again

Virgil still hadn't been acting like himself. Ever since they met at the park he had been acting weird, like he was hiding something. He frowned whenever he saw Logan, and Logan wondered if maybe he simply didn't like Logan anymore. This thought hurt him, even more so as he realized-after talking with Patton about it, of course-that he was falling in love with Virgil.

He wanted to try and bring this up with the other again, but he didn't. He wanted to trust that Virgil would tell Logan himself if something was wrong. For now, he simply hoped that he was wrong in believing that Virgil may not like Logan as much as he liked Virgil.

"Hey, Logan. You okay?" Patton broke Logan out of his thoughts, Logan only then remembering he was supposed to be listening to Patton. The other had been excitedly ranting off about a cute dog he had seen on his way to school, a tiny corgi with a sweater on, which was apparently the "cutest dog I have ever seen", according to Patton. Not that this statement could be trusted, as he said this about every dog that he saw.

"I apologize, Patton. I got lost in thought. What were you saying?" Logan turned his focus back to his friend, who offered Logan a small comforting smile.

"You're thinking about Virgil again, aren't you? Logan, I'm sure that whatever is going on, it doesn't have anything to do with you! He likes you a lot. Like he told you, he's probably just going through something difficult right now." Patton tried to reassure him, setting a hand on Logan's shoulder. Logan smiled at him appreciatively, but his words couldn't help calm his nerves. He had already tried to reason with himself about this, but that didn't seem to work as well as it usually did. He couldn't help but worry.

"Thank you, Patton. You are right, I am sure everything will be okay." Logan told him, forcing himself to push the rest of his thoughts away. He had too much work to do in school to be bothering by something so silly.

Later on that day, just as class had let out and Logan was making his way out of the school, he paused, hearing a noise. The sound had come from a nearby empty classroom. People were talking inside, and it sounded as though they were arguing. Logan looked around slowly, seeing no one else in the hall with him. He crept closer to the door of the classroom, listening in and quickly recognizing who the voices inside belonged to.

Logan frowned, eyebrows furrowed as he looked through the tiny window on the door, confirming that he had heard the voices correctly. Roman, Archer, and Virgil were inside, and none of them sounded very happy with each other. Logan leaned closer, attempting to listen in on their argument.

"Can't we please stop this already? I'm tired of it!" His boyfriend shouted at Roman and Archer.

"We've already told you, you're not quitting on us yet. You had better start acting normal, before they get even more suspicious." Roman glared at him, and Logan glared back even though he couldn't see him. He hated how they were talking to Virgil, and wished he could just run in and protect him from whatever they were trying to make him do.

"I can't do this anymore! I'm sick of being pushed around by you guys!" Virgil pointed an accusing finger at them both, and Logan's stomach dropped at the look that Archer gave him. He seemed completely calm and collected to anyone who didn't know him, but Logan had seen that look enough times to know that that was how he looked when he was angry. He took a step closer to Virgil, Virgil backing away slightly and looking nervous.

"You are going to keep this up." He hissed at Virgil, taking another step closer while Virgil stepped back. "You will be done when that imbecilic robot tells you that he loves you. Then you can reveal that it was all just a prank, that he meant nothing to you. Only then will you be done, only when I tell you you are done."

Logan didn't hear anything after that. Time had slowed to a stop for him, his mind racing with confused thoughts. He couldn't believe it. He couldn't. How could it all be just a prank? Did he really mean nothing to Virgil? Was he simply messing with him this entire time?

"Logan...?" He heard someone say his name, snapping up to see Virgil standing in the doorway, Roman and Archer behind them. The two of them shared a glance, looking amused. Logan's eyes narrowed, glaring at Virgil and trying to ignore the tears that stung him eyes.

"Logan, how much did you hear? Were you listening to us?" Virgil questioned frantically, eyes wide and scared. Logan stepped away from Virgil when he tried to approach him, hands clenched into fists.

"So, I don't really mean anything to you, then? All that worrying... I thought I was being silly, but I was right. You really don't care about me at all. This was all just, some cruel joke..." Logan stifled a sob, wiping furiously at his eyes. "Why? What do you get out of this? What was the point?"

Virgil tried to say something, but Logan stopped him. "No. I don't care. You aren't worth any of my time. I thought you were better than them but-but you're exactly like them! I hate you!"

Logan felt the tears sliding down his cheeks, he heard Roman and Archer laughing behind Virgil, heard Virgil trying to speak to him, but he ignored it all. He just needed to escape. He had to leave. Turning around, Logan made a run for it out of the school, slamming the doors open and not stopping even once he was out of the building. He didn't stop running until he had made it home, stitch in his side and panting heavily, rushing up to his room and slamming the door closed. Once he had made it into his room he collapsed into bed, glad that his parents weren't home to see him as such a mess.

Sobs shook his body as he lie there, thinking about everything. He meant nothing to Virgil. It was all a stupid prank, and he was a fool to ever trust in Virgil. He had let him get close to Logan, something he had never done with anyone except for Patton, and now he had betrayed him.

The worst part of all of this wasn't how angry he was at Virgil, or Roman, or Archer. It was how angry he was with himself. He had been so stupid, so incredibly stupid to let Virgil in, and now he had gotten hurt and it was his own fault.

He felt so stupid.

Bet you weren't expecting that, huh? I've been so excited for this-

Next chapter will be a little bit different. You'll see. Let me know what you think of this chapter. I will try my best to get the next chapter up pretty soon.
