The Twins are a Hardmode Mechanical Boss, which is essentially a harder version of the Eye of Cthulhu. The twins are two separate flying entities connected by a tendril, each with its own attack pattern and life count. Both must be killed in order to defeat the boss. The Twins are summoned using the mechanical eye at night, and must be defeated before dawn, otherwise they despawn. If an altar has been destroyed,  they also have a chance of spawning on a random night if they have not been defeated yet. Their approach is signaled at dusk via the chat message, "This is going to be a terrible night. "

Classification: One of the three nocturnal mechanical menaces, Cthulhu's mechanical eyes

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman physical characteristics, large size (Type 0),  energy projection, flight (True flight), enhanced fire manipulation (Can use Cursed Flames, which can not be put out by fire and negates up to Low-Mid regeneration), light manipulation (Can fire laser beams), Danmaku, intangibility (Phasing, can phase through all tiles), berserk mode, inorganic physiology (Type 2), resistance to mind manipulation (Immune to confused, which causes one to do the opposite of what they intend), poison manipulation

Attack Potency: At least Moon level (Can harm Post-WoF Terrarrian)

Speed: At least Subsonic+ (Kept pace with the Terrarrian)

Lifting Strength: Class 5 (Can push the Terrarrian around)

Striking Strength: At least Moon level (Comparable to his Attack Potency)

Durability: At least Moon level (Can take hits from Post-WoF Terrarrian)

Stamina: Superhuman (Comparable to the Terrarrian)

Range: Several Meters, Hundreds of Meters with lasers and fire

•Retinazer: Has an orange-red iris and fires purple lasers. It will usually attempt to remain vertically above their opponent.

•Spazmatism: Has an green iris and fires balls of Cursed Flames. It will usually attempt to remain horizontally above their opponent.
