Chapter 13: Serendipity

"Where are we going?" The curious boy asks for the second time.

"Jimin!" I complained "Stop asking I told you It's a surprise!" We both chuckled, climbing the small yet high hill, hand in hand.

Paying special attention to the ground covered in grass and rocks, I add; "Thankfully I'm wearing sneakers", earning a chuckle from him.

"You aren't the type who wears heels, are you?" He raised his eyebrows, smiling sweetly.

"Not really, besides being tall, I have a lot of bad experiences high-fiving the ground" I stated before we both cracked up. His laugh was pleasant to the ears, he would lean back his neck as his body goes down, his eyes would close completely and his smile... Well his smile is simply perfect.

"We reached the top Jimin!" I started fast-walking as he catched up, never leaving my hand.

We then made our way to the highest spot on the hill, where a lot of big rocks and flowers were located, in front of a small pond, which looked extremelly magical due to the stars and moon reflecting on It's water. It was beautiful.

"Do you come here often?" He asks out of curiosity following me as I sit down on one of the rocks.

"I guess so... But It's the first time I bring someone along" I admit as I watch him sit down next to me before smiling widely, surprised with my response.

"Really?" He raises his voice in joy, "That... makes me happy" He looks away shyly as I stare at his pretty side profile, his eyes sparkling due to the stars and night lights. He was as beautiful as the landscape sorrounding us... Or even more.

"Oh!" He suddenly adds surprised, making me flinch and look away -blushing-, since I would look like a creep staring at him in such awe.

Jimin looks for something on his pocket, "Here!" He widely smiles taking out a small and cute box with a cute pink bow in the middle.

"A present?" I ask, raising my eyebrows surprised while he nodded his head happily and expectantly.

"V has got a lot of contacts and ways of getting things, so I told him what I wanted for you, and somehow, he accepted" He explains as I unwrap the bow around the small box.

I could feel my heartbeat increase seeing the cute bracelet, It sparkled cutely and It had half of a heart on it. Jimin then took it from me to lock it around my wrist.

He claps his hands in joy after doing so. "Pretty isn't it? And..." He puts his wrist next to mine "I have the other half of the heart" He smiles cutely "Since our meetings are risky, and not that often, I thought this would help you feel close to me even If I'm not present" He explained giggling as I felt tears approaching my eyes.

"Huh? Why are you crying? You didn't like it?" He panics making me chuckle.

"No... They are happy tears" I laughed and he smiled relieved, his shoulders relaxing a bit.

"I brought you something too" I smile widely as he widens his eyes surprised.

I open my small bag, taking out his present. "Maybe It's not as special... But I kind of still feel bad about everything that happened, and thought you may have felt really bored in that room, so, this is my favorite book, and my gift" I hand it to him and he gasps happily.

"I love it! I mean- I would love to read it!" He scratches the back of his head, embarassed due to his cute excitement. "Thank you Roci" He adds before reading the sypnosis on the back. "Oh! It's a romance story! Do you like them?" He asks surprised.

"Uh- Yeah I do, quite a lot" I admit but Jimin observes me closely, almost as If trying to flash me out.

"Because... You like someone?" He asks curious.

"mm no, I have always liked them" I shrugged.

"And what kind of romance stories do you like?" He moves, sitting closer to me and comfortably.

"well, I don't know, stories with original and interesting plots as well as good characters... Though I might read a cliché once in a while" I tilt my head to the side a bit as we smile at each other.

"What is cliché?" He asks frowning a bit, surprising me.

"Well, a cliché is when an scene or plot is overly used, so much that It becomes predictable and sometimes maybe boring, and well original and interesting means quiet the opposite." I smile while looking up at the starry night, before locking eyes with him, but as soon as I do I frown. Jimin was covering his mouth, trying hard not to laugh; It was clear that he already knew what cliché meant.

"Jimin!" I scold him, annoyed.

"I'm sorry... I really like hearing you talk" He admits, shrugging.

The ambient fell silent and peaceful, and he locked his shining eyes with mines before asking;

"Do you think our story is interesting?". His voice sounded raspy and almost in a whisper, almost as If he wasn't that confident about speaking.

Being caught off-guard I blinked several times. I was either unsure about what to respond or about If I had heard correctly.

Somehow, I wanted to imagine it, I wanted to imagine feeling the serendipity knowing that just because of curiosity and a dumb project such an story could occur. Because, our story, was indeed interesting. However, was it possible?

"We can just find out" I replied, using the same unsure and shy tone he used.

Did I feel uneasy because of all the consequences sorrounding us, or maybe because everyone keeps reminding me that he isn't a human? That he is just a Robot.

Whatever the answer was, It all meant nothing when our lips met...
