Oh Wait There's PLOT ???In MY pissfic?!
A/n: decided to give yall a peek into the other side like roman remus and Janus
Roman was lying on his living room couch, sighing repeatedly. Over and over again, just to be dramatic. It was 2am, and Virgil had stopped texting him a while ago. He probably just fell asleep in the car, though so he didn't take it personally. He actually found it funny how his texting had gotten a lot more jumbled and he misspelled every other word. He must have been extremely tired. But Roman was now left bored without Virgil's company. Remus was next to him, sure, but they weren't doing anything, and their parents had called Janus into the kitchen to talk to them for a minute.
"Roman, shut the fuck up" Remus hissed after he'd sighed again, "i'm trying to eavesdrop."
Roman sat up from his position and perked his ears. Eves-dropping. Now that was interesting. He hadn't even thought about why Janus had mmd been called to the kitchen. Now that he was thinking about it, he had to admit it was quite odd Janus couldn't possibly be in any trouble. Every time he was at their house, he was extremely cautious and respectful, especially to Remy and Emile. It was a far cry from his usual personality, and Roman couldn't imagine why he acted like a good kid whenever the adults were around.
He had to admit, that Janus was at their house a lot lately. Not even just to hang out, but actually staying the night. He and Remus were more than happy to accept him as a guest in their home, but Roman had to admit he was kind of confused about why. Maybe Janus got lonely at home. Maybe his mom worked a lot, he wasn't sure.
So, naturally, he began to wonder why Janus was talking to he and Remus's dads. He tuned his ears into the conversation, focusing on his dad's voices.
"We're just a little worried, Jan. We heard something, about you. And given recent circumstances, we're inclined to believe that it's true" Remu began, "we heard that your mama kicked you out recently. Is that right?" Remy questioned him quietly. Roman could practically feel the anger radiating off of Remus. Oh, so they were having a serious conversation.
Janus slowly nodded his head, "yes. It's. Um, yeah. She did" he whispered.
Emile frowned, sitting next to Janus where he was at the table, "okay. Thank you for being open about that. We want to know something else, too. You've been staying over a lot lately, but not every night. So we're wondering where you're going when you aren't here?"
We Janus looked down at his feet, clearly ashamed, "I—i'm sorry for being over so much, I don't mean to intrude on anything—"
"No, no, no, no, babe you misunderstand. We aren't upset that you're staying here. We welcome you here, we just want to know where you've been staying aside from here" Remy explained, "we want to make sure you're safe."
"Uhm" Janus began, "I've been. Well, sleeping at the park nearby. Sometimes on a bench, sometimes under a tree..." he trailed off.
Roman's breath caught in his throat and his eyes filled with tears. He felt like he wasn't supposed to be hearing this. Remus was in no better condition, he was clearly heartbroken at that information. Janus had been kicked out? Homeless? How could they not have known? How long had it been?
"Janus, that's dangerous" Emile breathed after a beat of silence to process the information, "I can't believe you—you've been sleeping outside."
"I didn't want to bother you guys" he blurted, "you already do so much for me, I-I can't ask any more of you" Janus's voice broke, and he covered his face, "Then, t-then i'll be too much for you too. M-my own mom doesn't even want me, how can I expect you guys to?"
Both adults wrapped their arms around him for a hug, "Janus, that's nonsense" Emile told him, "I need you to know that we will always welcome you here. You're practically a part of the family. We love having you stay here, and we don't mind at all if you live with us for a while."
"Yeah" Remy told him, "as long as you need while your mom gets her shit together" he said, "even then, i'd be reluctant to let you go back to that woman if she's fine with her sixteen year old being homeless. You know, even when you guys were like, babies going over for playdates, i've hated her. And her parenting choices" he shook his head, "we will get all of this sorted out. Don't worry."
Janus wiped his eyes and leaned into the hug, "T-thank you guys. Thank you so much, I've been trying to keep myself together and act like everything's fine, but it's been so hard."
Roman stood up from the couch and began to walk towards the stairs. He had already heard too much, and felt terrible. Janus may not have wanted them to hear that. Remus followed closely behind him, clearly wanting to talk about what they'd just heard.
They texted Virgil almost immediately, too. They didn't really expect a response so late, but their hearts were pounding and they felt absolutely broken.

"Logan, look" Patton whispered, pointing at Virgil, "we need to find a gas station. Soon."
"Why?" Logan asked, glancing back, "he looks fine."
"No. Look at where his shirt is riding up" Patton clarified.
Logan glanced back and saw Virgil's lower stomach, "Oh. That's bad. He appears to be bloated" he frowned with concern, "is he going to puke? His stomach got big—"
"Logan" Patton giggled. "That isn't his stomach. That's his bladder."
Logan's eyes nearly bulged out of his skull, from the pure shock of that statement, "what?! Lord, i'm pulling off right now let's hope that we fine somewhere quickly."
Patton nodded, "with the bladder condition and the uti, we're going to have a disaster in like, five minutes."
Luckily for them, they were able to pull up to a McDonald's very quickly. Patton reached back and began to shake Virgil's shoulder, "hey" he said gently, "Virgil, baby, wake up!"
Virgil groaned, "No...." He mumbled.
"No, Virge, you gotta go pee" Patton laughed.
Virgil sighed, still half-asleep, "'kay...okay, i'm going."
Patton's eyes widened, "No! Virgil, not here, inside! Inside, go to the toilet!"
Virgil's eyes snapped open, "Oh, oh my God I have to go so bad!" It didn't take anymore convincing for him to hop out of the car and go use the restroom. Patton and Logan laughed at him, but Virgil didn't even care. He was thankful to make it to the bathroom with no leakage, and ended up peeing for a long time. By the time he was done, he was more than ready to head back to sleep, but when he got back into the car he got a vibrate from his phone.
He read the message, his heart dropping as he did so.
Remus: Virgil, Janus's mom kicked him out apparently? Like for real, a month ago idk why? And now my dads found out and he's gonna be living with us?? And he was homeless!? Wtf!?
Virgil: ? You didn't ??? Know??
Remus: ....
Remus: what the fuck?
Virgil: yeah, he's kinda been switching between living with your family and mine for a while. Those 'sleepovers' me and jan had without ya'll weren't actually sleepovers...
Virgil: it was him living with us. We offered to take him on the road trip, but he said he would talk to your dads abt his living situation and open up to ya'll about it eventually too
Remus: hes been sleeping outside at the park bc he didnt want anybody to suspect it
Virgil: what??? Oh my god thats horrible...
Remus: why would he tell you and not us?
Virgik: it took a while for him to open up. Give him time. He gets embarrassed about this, and dw he didnt get kicked out for being disrespectful, he came out to his mom
Remus: shit
Remus: that bitch
Remus: i will report bk to roman thx Virge
Virgil: yeah. Just, don't overwhelm him, okay? Remus, ik you aren't as dumb as you pretend to be. Janus is especially embarrassed to tell you, and u know just as well as I do that you guys obviously have a thing for each other. He doesn't want you to think any less of him.
Remus: okay. Ur right, we promise not to question him about it. He doesn't even know that we know, we eavesdropped
Virgil: ofc u did
Virgil placed his head against the window, closing his eyes. His mood took a sharp nosedive after that conversation. He knew that Janus would rather sleep on the streets than bother anyone. He practically had to force him to live with him once he figured out that he had been kicked out.

After Roman and Remus left, the conversation between Janus, Remy and Emile didn't come to a stop. They continued to talk, and Janus may or may not have cried. He would never admit it if he did, though.
"I've also noticed the house has been really clean ever since your visits started getting more frequent" Emile told him, "like—i'll go to bed and there will be a sink full of dishes. A dirty counter. A sticky spot on the floor. I wake up, and everything's spotless. Nothing's out of place."
Remy nodded too, "yeah, and I know the twins ain't doing shit, so it's gotta be you, babe. Have you felt like you were obligated to clean up?"
Janus looked down at his hands, "I just, felt like it was the least I could do? You've been letting me stay a lot so, um. I try to not be a burden, y'know?"
Remy smiled, "we appreciate that. And you've done such a good job! Like—you have no idea how awesome it is to wake up to a clean house. I have nothing to complain about, but you don't have to pay us back. And you definitely aren't a burden. You've always cleaned up after yourself. Washing your dishes immediately after using them, keeping any space you use tidy, hell, even folding blankets when you're done with them. We don't even do that."
Emile nodded, "we're going to make a chore chart. Split the work, because it's a lot for one person. And if you're going go stay, I guess it's kind of our responsibility to make you do chores" he chuckled, "but don't worry. You're our guest, if you keep doing what you're doing, like—just being tidy and cleaning up after yourself, there won't be any problems."
Janus smiled, "thank you guys, I just, well. Cleaning gives me something to do in my down time. Instead of just sitting around, thinking about..." he trailed off, "but it feels like everything is too clean now to deep clean. So, i'm probably going to take up gardening."
Remy laughed, "compete with our neighbor, Ms. Carol, that old hag gets so mad if anybody else's flowers look better than hers!"
They all chuckled together, before Emile checked the time, "we should probably all head to bed now. It's been a long day" he smiled.
Janus nodded, "alright. Thanks again."
"Not a problem. And when you said you cleaned everything, you don't mean..." Remy pushed his sunglasses onto his forehead and gave Janus a serious look, "the shit hole we call Remus's room?"
Janus bursted into laughter, "I did, the amount of garbage in there was insane I couldn't even walk."
Remy's eyes widened, "his room his clean?! I've gotta see this!"
Emile and Janus followed closely behind, giggling at Remy's excitement. When they finally got up to the bedroom, Remy and Emile's mouths dropped with shock.
Remus and Roman were rather confused about why everyone had barreled into the room, but Remy was quick to help their confusion, "holy shit? It is! It's clean in here!"
Remus rolled his eyes, having thought they were coming up to talk to them about Janus, "Dad. Shut up."
"No, this is actually impressive" Emile breathed, "like—it looks like we just moved in! Everything's so organized, and clean!"
"Yeah, Janus cleaned it for me. I actually don't really recognize it myself" Remus shrugged.
Remy narrowed his eyes, "you really made him do this? That's another level of lazy."
"No, I had a mental breakdown while I was trying to clean it, and then Janus offered to help, and bh help I mean he completely took it over because I was" he put his fingers up to do air quotes, "doing it wrong."
"We even took pictures. Remus's depression room has 60k upvotes on reddit" Roman told them.
Janus laughed, "Yeah, but maybe up the dose on his meds because cleaning his depression room was the most traumatizing experience of my life."
