The weeks passed quickly. Jenika couldn't believe they had been on the road for a month already and how much she had grown to love everyone in her new extended family. Even Tim, who was still jealous of her friendship with Adam.

TJ loved spending time with Adam and Tim and Jenika loved watching them together. Jenika had been mom and dad to TJ since he was born, and thought she was doing a pretty good job, but she loved that he finally had some good male role models in his life.

TJ was sitting between Adam and Tim enjoying some quiet time before tonight's show, TJ and Tim were reading and Adam was playing a game on his phone. Jenika snapped a quick picture of her favorite men all together and sitting still for once.

Her mind wandered while she stared at the three of them. She couldn't believe how much she had learned about each of the guys and in turn how much she had opened up and told them. Adam seemed particularly good at getting her talk. She needed to learn his technique so she could get into his and Tim's minds and find out how they felt about each other.

She just knew those two needed to be a couple but they were fighting it for some reason. She could see it in the way they looked at each other, how they would each stare at the other one when they weren't looking, even in the way they found reasons to touch each other. The whole group loved to give hugs but Tim and Adam would hold on just a little longer to each other than anybody else.

Jenika suddenly had a lightbulb moment. She knew exactly what she needed to do. Now to put her plan in motion. That night after the show she was going to get Adam to talk.

After the signing line everyone headed for the hotel they had for a few nights. Tim and Adam were sharing a room but Tim had gone to Austin's room to work on some new music. TJ had tagged along with him to watch the process.

Jenika knocked on Adam's door and was shocked when he answered it wearing only a towel. "Hey Jenika. Come on in." Adam said as if he weren't standing there practically naked. "I just got out of the shower. Give me second to get dressed," he said as he walked across the room.

"Please do." Jenika said a little louder than she meant to. "I know we're just friends but damn Adam! Don't tempt a woman." Adam had his back to her while she was talking so he untied his towel and pretended like he was going to drop it right there. He looked over his shoulder and winked at her.

Jenika knew her face was bright red and could feel that her heart rate and breathing had sped up. "If you don't get dressed right now I cannot be held responsible for my actions." Jenika breathed out quietly.

Adam retied his towel, turned around and walked across the room until they were face to face, only inches apart. "But you think I'm gay." Adam whispered as he gently touched her face and tilted her chin up.

"You could be Bi" Jenika said as she closed her eyes and leaned in slightly. Adam got as close to her as he could without actually kissing her and said "I could be," then stepped away and headed for the bathroom to get dressed.

When she heard the bathroom door click shut she finally let out the breath she had been holding while saying "Holy shit. What the hell just happened?" Jenika sat down on the end of the bed and tried to get her breathing and heart rate to slow down. This was not going as planned. She had wanted to get Adam to admit that he was in love with Tim but instead he'd almost gotten her out of her clothes in record time. Maybe she was wrong about them.

Adam shut the door and leaned against the bathroom counter. "I can't believe I just did that" he said to himself. "Oh God. I hope she doesn't hate me now." Adam took a minute to calm dawn, got dressed, took a deep breath and headed out of the bathroom.

They both spoke at the same time "Jenika, I'm so sorry." and "What the hell Adam?"

Adam sat down next to Jenika, "Can we start over and forget that happened?" he pleaded.

Jenika looked Adam straight in the face, "NO". Adam looked like he had just been slapped and was about to speak when Jenika held up her hand to signal him to keep quiet.

"I'm going to talk and you are going to listen. Okay?" Jenika said. Adam just nodded.

"We can't just forget that happened. That might not have had an affect on you but it affected me. You are a crazy hot, nice guy. I'm a straight woman who has been celibate for too long. And we may be 'just friends' but if you ever start something like that again, I don't care if you're gay, straight, bi, whatever, I will make sure you finish it." Jenika said finally taking a breath. "And I'm sure you'll be starring in my dreams tonight. So, NO, I won't forget what happened."

Adam sat there just staring at her for a few minutes trying to gather his thoughts. That had definitely had an affect on him.

Jenika eventually said, "Please say something. You're scaring me."

"Okay" Adam said. "We won't forget that it happened but can we start tonight over? I'm sure you knocked on my door for reason."

Jenika got up, marched across the room and out the door. Adam was sure he had just totally f*cked up their friendship when he heard a knock on his door.

Adam opened the door to see Jenika standing there with a smile on her face. "Hi Adam. Can I come in?" He stepped out of the way to let her in and said "What's up?"

"Not much just wanted to talk. TJ is hanging out with Tim so I thought I'd come here and see if I could figure out the inner workings of Adam Rupps mind." Jenika said with a smirk.

"Umm, okay. Sounds like a fun evening." Adam said sarcastically.

"Adam, I want to make a deal with you." Jenika said while Adam eyed her suspiciously. "I have some tough questions that I want honest answers to. I know it's hard to talk sometimes so I thought I'd give you an incentive." Adam raised an eyebrow and cocked his head to the side. "Don't look at me like that. I want to offer an exchange of information. Quid Pro Quo."

"So if I answer your questions honestly then I get to ask you one and back and forth?" Adam asked to make sure he understood the rules of this game. Jenika nodded. "Let's do it then" Adam said. They moved to Adams bed and sat with legs crossed facing each other.

Jenika went first. "We'll start with an easy one. Are you gay, straight or bi?"

Adam swallowed hard, "That's an easy one?" he sighed. "I guess I'm bi."

(Authors note- back to looking like a text conversation. Too much 'he said, she said' crap)

A- You said earlier you've been celibate a long time. How long?

J- I guess neither of us is pulling any punches tonight. The last time I had sex I got pregnant with TJ.

A- That was like 5yrs ago! Shit. I feel even worse about earlier now.

J- Hey, you had no idea. It's fine. So you said 'I guess I'm bi.' Have you been with both men and women?

A- Yes, I've had sex with both. And before you ask, NOT at the same time. Why haven't you had sex in 5yrs?

J- TJ was the result of the only one night stand I've ever had. And I've been a little busy being a single parent. I promised myself no more one nighters and I've not yet met anyone worth a second date. Okay, back to you. How long since you last had sex?

A- Uh, close to a year. I'm not a fan of one nighters either but this career doesn't lend itself easily to a relationship. Your turn. Did you ever track this guy down and tell him you were pregnant?

J- No. I was traveling at the time. When I found out I was pregnant I was back home. I just decided I would do it on my own. Are you interested in anyone right now? If yes, is it romantic or just sexual.

A- Dammit! I have to answer because I have more questions for you. Yes, I'm interested in someone right now. Romantically, but of course that includes sexual attraction. Do you ever plan on telling TJ who his dad is?

J- He has shown no interest so far but I told him I would never lie to him so if he asks I have to tell him. I know it will happen someday. I'm not sure I'm prepared. So, who are you interested in?

A- I knew this was coming. This is why you started this game isn't it?

J- You going to answer or end the game?

A- F*ck! Jenika you're killing me here.

(back to regular)

Adam couldn't look at her. He hung his head and just stared at his hands. Jenika climbed into Adam's lap and pulled him into a hug. "I know who it is don't I?" she whispered in his ear. Adam wrapped his arms around her, nodded his head and then cried silently into her shoulder. They stayed that way for awhile, just holding each other.

Tim was hoping Adam was here and that he knew where Jenika was. Neither of them were answering their phones and he needed to talk to her. He walked in the room to find them sitting on the bed, Jenika in Adams lap with her arms and legs wrapped around him and Adams head buried in her neck.

"Am I interrupting something?" Tim asked. Jenika jumped and pulled away from Adam. Adam kept his back to Tim so he wouldn't see that he had been crying.

"Tim, it's not what it look likes." Jenika said while climbing off the bed and walking towards him. She wanted to keep him from getting to close to Adam until he pulled himself together.

"Then what is it exactly?" Tim asked. Jenika sighed before answering "We were having a pretty intense conversation and sometimes you just a need hug after one of those."

Tim sat on the bed beside Adam and rubbed his back, "You okay, buddy?" Adam had regained control, "Yeah, I'm good."

"Oh, I almost forgot." Tim said "Austin and I have been trying to get ahold of you two. TJ fell asleep in Austins room. Is it okay if he just stays there?"

"Oh my gosh, sorry. We were so involved in our conversation that I didn't hear my phone. I'll call him." Jenika said as she grabbed her phone and walked across the room.

"Adam, are you sure you're okay? I haven't see you cry in...I don't know...a long time." Tim asked.

"Tim, I'm good. Really. I promise." Adam replied as Jenika walked back towards them.

"Hey, I think I'm going to go." Jenika said "It's getting late and I need some sleep."

"But it was my turn." Adam whined at her. "Your turn?" Tim asked, looking confused.

"I promise we'll play again and you get to go first next time. Why don't you explain the game to Tim; I'd like to play with him sometime too." Jenika said to Adam as she raised her eyebrows at Tim.

Adam walked Jenika to the door, "I really am sorry about earlier" he said.

"Do you hear me complaining?" Jenika asked. She looked back across the room as she opened the door and said "Goodnight Tim."

Tim answered with "Goodnight Jenika, sweet dreams." Jenika and Adam burst out laughing. Tim heard a quiet "They will be" as she glanced at Adam and shut the door.
