Chapter 6

                ~Annie Davenport~

"Honestly dear this car is filthy. Look at that dust collecting on the dashboard and what's that smell?"

"Listen lady, if you don't like the way my car looks or smells then you can get out. Trust me, I won't hesitate to pull over and drop you off." Here we go with the attitude.

"Darling, you do realize that your attitude isn't gonna get you anywhere in life?"

"Sure whatever. Also stop calling me darling. That's not my name."

"Well it isn't like you introduced yourself to me?"

"You're not anyone special. You could've told me your name."

"Annie Davenport."

"Adorable." There was sarcasm dripping off her voice. Rude.

"Now yours. I refuse to drive around with a stranger."

"Says the senile old woman who begged for a ride. Plus I can always pullover so you can get out."

"Tell me your name my dear, I'm not getting any younger waiting."

"Well of course not, what are you seventy?" SEVENTY?! "I'm Casey by the way."

"Isn't that a boy's name?"

"Just because boys have this name doesn't mean it's a boys name. There are many girls with the name Casey."

"Alright I won't argue with you. It's nice to meet you Casey. I hope this journey brings us many laughs and memories."

"I hope this journey comes to an end soon."

                                  •••

Light taps of the rain bounce off the windshield and in a calm rhythm. I always hated rain, it makes everything look gloomy and depressing.

The clouds are dark grey with a bit of rays from the sun peeking out to say hi.

"Lets listen to some music" Casey begins to turn on the radio but I quickly ninja chop her hand away. "What is wrong with you?"

"I like to drive in silence."

"I'm driving my car and I like to listen to music when driving. Are you driving, I think not?!" She goes to turn on the radio again but I remove her hands from the buttons.

"Wouldn't you rather get to know each other than listen to pop music?"

"Nope. I'm going to turn on my radio and if you dare slap or ninja chop my hand I will put you back on the side of the road and drive away as I stare at you hold up your thumb from my rear view mirror. Understand?" She looked up quite serious, her eyebrow raised in a questionable manner. I don't think I should keep fighting with her.

"Fine I'll just turn down my hearing aid. But you missed out on a great story about me in my high school days." Casey shook her head and scoffed.

"Okay I'll live with that."

Casey evil smirk makes me shiver as she turns on the radio. Oh my goodness Aaron, I've gotten in the car with a maniac.
