"Sirius! Remus! My babies!" James looked out of the window as he heard the groan of an engine. Remus had just messaged him saying they were pulling up to his road, and he was very excited. He opened the door and revealed a very tired looking Sirius and a messy haired Remus.
"Piss off James, let me have a lie down on your sofa." Sirius trudged past James, kicked off his shoes and slouched in to the living room, face planting the sofa.
"Hello, James. Nice to see you again." Remus hugged James before entering the living room himself.
"Thanks for the hello, Black." Lily sighed, leading Harry in by the hand.
"Go away, Evans."
"I'm a Potter, actually." Lily corrected, wondering if she should pull a lock of hair out of Sirius' head. That would be fun.
"I don't care. I was James' wife before you. I'm Sirius Potter, his first and most sexiest love interest. " Sirius' face was buried in to a cushion, and he was tired, but still very certain of what he was.
"Sirius, you're so overdramatic, even when you're sleepy" Remus squeezed in to the gap between the end of Sirius' legs and the arm rest.
"Let me live." Sirius groaned, turning over and falling asleep.
He drifted off for about and hour and only woke up after Lily had put Harry to bed.
"Sirius, are you awake enough to tell us how things were now?" James asked, not meeting his eye and colouring in one of Harry's activity books. His only excuse for this was that when you have a child, you become the child, which Remus always replied with that not being how it worked. This always annoyed him and he snapped back by saying how would Remus know.
"How what was, my sleep? It was great, man. Dreamt about a fucking pony dancing on my ass." Sirius slurred sarcastically.
"Snap!" A voice screeched. Peter's, to be exact. Sirius jumped, not knowing know he was there.
"No, you've put down a three of diamonds and before that I put down an eight of hearts. Honestly, Pete..." Remus explained, folding his arms.
"Hullo, Peter. Didn't know you were here." Sirius yawned. He blinked a few times and his view focussed.
"Hello. Now that you're awake, I have something epic to say! Did you know I have a girlfriend? Like, a real one?" Everyone turned to Peter. Lily nearly dropped her book and James dropped his pen. Remus though, didn't seem surprised.
"Really? What's her name?" Remus asked, grinning broadly.
"Well, her name's Emmeline. Do you remember her? Emmeline Vance with the really long, beautiful shiny brown almost black hair?" Peter practically had heart eyes when he described her hair. He clutched at a pillow and fell back in to the sofa, sighing dreamily.
"I remember her and I must say that her hair's not as nice as mine, you know it isn't." Sirius smirked and winked at Remus. No one else noticed besides the person who was supposed to, but neither took too much attention to it.
"It's so much more better." Peter grinned, staring off in to the distance. Remus still remembered the countless times Peter's heart would throb for the intelligent brunette back in school. Oh, the times where he would walk past the Ravenclaw common room before breakfast so when she came out he could walk with her.
"How did you... Well, find her again, I suppose?" James stuttered, forgetting about retrieving his pen.
"She was another guide on the trip and we got chatting and we became friends and then we flirted and then she asked me out and I said yes and then we went on a date and it was so good and then I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said yes!" Peter said that all in one breath and by the end of it he was very red.
"I would correct your grammar but-" Remus started.
"You don't wanna be a douche so you let Peter have his moment?" Sirius interrupted, smiling way too sweetly. Remus shot back with a straight face, his eyebrows fallen and his eyes cold. The once smiling person felt the hairs on his arms stand on end. Still, he kind of found it sexy.
"Well, kinda. But that's not the point! The point is, drum roll please.... Peter's not single anymore! He finally has another girlfriend that's Mary!" Remus patted Peter on the shoulder as the the artist was pulled out of his trance.
"I think on that note we should have a lovely special dinner, don't you agree, Pete? Perhaps honey roasted lamb? Side of carrots and chips? I know! You're favourite chip dip that only the famous Lily Potter can make?" Lily kept clicking her fingers as she added to her absolutely scrumptious dinner. Peter felt his mouth water.
"James, gonna need your help. You can chop up the potatoes and find the baby carrots." Lily said, pointing at James who was adamant on not budging. This was all while Remus was whispering to Sirius about feeling as they were forgetting something. Sirius just shrugged. He didn't feel they were forgetting anything, but maybe Remus just forgot to roll up his window all the way. So nothing major.
"Ok, I need a hair bobble." Sirius dug deep in to his pockets searching for the thing he needed to tie up his hair with. Remus pulled a bobble off his wrist and was going to give it to Sirius. It was a little something he would do just in case anybody, mostly Sirius, needed it.
"Thanks, babe." Sirius said to Remus. James, who was finally convinced by Lily's great flattery skills to get up and cut up the veggies, stopped in his tracks. As did Lily, who was just beginning to leave the room.
"Dinner can wait." Lily breathed, as she backed in to the room. For once, even Peter didn't complain about the postponed dinner, as this was far too great.
Remus was now deep crimson and staring Sirius in the eye.
"That's what we were forgetting." Remus scratched his head and Sirius nodded, throat too dry to speak.
"Wow, next thing you're gonna tell me is that you wankers shagged in the woods." James snickered after Sirius and Remus has told them everything from how Sirius came out to Remus to their first date. Both purposely avoided the topic of... Um, the intercourse. After James' comment, both were completely silent and pink. James face fell.
"You're kidding." James muttered while Peter still looked confused.
"Really?" Lily sprang up from her seat.
"I don't get it." Peter looked around for help from Remus or Sirius.
"Look, it wasn't in the woods, alright?" Remus bursted, not being able to take James' stare.
"Holy shit, what the fuck?!" James was shocked and Peter finally understood.
"Where was it then? In a car?" Lily scoffed, not being serious. She saw the looks on the couple's face and her jaw dropped.
"No."
"Fucking."
"Way."
It was rather funny how in sync Lily, James and Peter were, but also scary.
The door to Remus and Sirius' house shut and the long haired boy locked it. It was quite chilly, but that wasn't too bothersome. Sirius switched on the light, sighing in relief when it turned on.
"At least some big marshmallow thing isn't waddling its way over." Remus joked, turning the heating up.
"You're funny. You know, Remus, I was thinking."
"That's a first." He muttered, earning a gently shove from Sirius.
"Shut up. Anyway, don't you think that maybe your bed's just a bit too cold and small? Would you prefer to join moi?" Sirius grinned awkwardly.
"Cheeky little bugger. But yes, I do agree with you." Remus picked up some of their cabin and duffle bags and walked upstairs.
Sirius sat up abruptly, his heart wild with excitement.
"Oh my fucking gosh, look at this! Look, Remus, look!" Remus sat up too, marking his book and reading the letters on the phone Sirius had pushed in to his face. It was an e-mail. He only caught certain glimpses of it, but he got the main gist of it. It was about Sirius' modelling thingy, saying they would like to give him a shot and they were also asking for the photographer.
That was a new start for the both of them.
Six years later, the now married couple are happy with their son Teddy. Sirius is modelling for big brands like Stone Island and Adidas while Remus photographs him (their colleagues find it particularly hilarious when Remus has to shoot Sirius when he's doing modelling for perfumes and he's half naked) and writes when he can. His books are famous globally and he couldn't be more happy. Of course, there are still off days, but they feel less blue knowing he has a family.
All was well.
