Patton was holding Roman's hand the entire ride to the hospital.
"Can you tell me what happened to Virgil?" Roman asked.
"Y-yeah." Patton said wiping his tears with his sleeve. "So, Octavius made a deal with both of us that if Virgil raped me we would get food. Virgil called him an insane fuck and he hit him over the head with a hammer." Roman covered his mouth in pure shock, a couple of tears pricked his eyes
"I wish I could've stayed with him." Roman said brushing Virgil's bangs out of his face.
"Hey, don't blame yourself, it isn't your fault." Patton said squeezing his hand. "Like you told he it isn't anyone's fault but Octavius'."

The ambulance pulls up to the hospital and they slowly get Virgil into a room, mostly because his injuries weren't as severe as Logan's and he only needed stitches and a bandage. They walk in and all the doctors are frantic going in and out of Logan's room. A lump grew in Patton's throat as he started to tear up.
"Hey come here." Roman said holding his arms out to Patton. "Let it out it's okay." Patton started sobbing and wailing into his chest. Roman started rubbing his back and whispering words of encouragement into his ear.

They eventually got Virgil into a room and a doctor came in to see two boys in the room.
"Hello there. My name is Dr Picani and I'm going to be examining Virgil today. I need silence to do this and since Virgil is passed out, he is concussed. He will need to stay with us for a couple days while he recovers." Picani said.
"What about Logan Pierce? Is he okay?" Patton asked.
"I don't know. I'm not working on him but from what I've heard, not well. His wound is infected and he is loosing blood quick." Picani said. Another lump caught in Patton's throat. Roman took notice of the sad look and Patton's face.
"Well let you to examine on Virgil. I need a little chat with Patton." Roman said.

He and Roman walked out of the room and into the hallway. Roman pulled Patton into a hug and started swaying back and forth. Patton had his hands over his own face and started sobbing into his chest.
"Shhh...shhh." Roman calmed him stroking his hair. Patton was choking on his own sobs and almost hyperventilating. Roman took notice of this and pulled away from the hug. "Pat, I need you to follow my breathing." Roman started taking exaggerated breaths in attempt to have Patton follow along with him.

"His heart rate's decreasing. Where's the boyfriend?" A doctor said.
"Why?" The nurse asked.
"He'll need to say goodbye." He said. The doctor went over to the loud speaker. "Patton Reed, to room  6332 please?"

About 10 minutes later Patton came through the door.
"What's wrong?" Patton said.
"I think you need to say goodbye." The doctor said. A third lump caught in his throat.
"Can I...can I be alone?" Patton said.
"Of course." The Doctor said and they walked out. Patton walked over to Logan and sat down in the chair next to him.
"Hey, hey Logan. Um, so I guess this is goodbye. I, I can't describe how much I love you. I wanna spend our lives together. Please, please wake up soon." Logan's heart rate speed up a little. Patton gasped and his eyes widened. "Can you hear me?"
"...yes." Logan muttered small and breathy. Patton started crying. "...Patton...love."
"I love you too, please I need you to wake up." Patton hit the nurse button.
"...wake." Logan quietly muttered again. The nurse came in.
"What's wrong." She asked.
"He's talking to me." Patton said.
"What?" She asked.
"Watch. Logan please, I need you to try and wake up for me, please try." Patton said.
"...try." Logan muttered.
"I think you are giving him the life he needs. That doesn't happen to a lot of people you know. He loves you a lot." The nurse said.
