Tim and Avi had started their long road trip to Minnesota. There was really no hurry. Darren had not given them any kind of deadline to be there.

Tim had called him to let him know they were on their way but that they were taking the scenic route.

Michael had given them a Visa card with a substantial amount of money on it. They tried not to take it but Avi's dad would not take 'No' for an answer.

He told them that the world was just too evil for them to be sleeping in the car.

They zig-zagged across the country. Revisiting some of the places they had fell in love with and visiting some places they have not yet seen.

Tim discovered that Avi found the most inspiration for writing whenever he was in nature. Whether it was a forest or viewing the beautiful snow capped mountains or just gazing across a pristine lake.

Avi discovered that Tim was quite the songwriter himself. He would get stuck on some lyrics and Tim was always quick to the rescue.

While in their hotel rooms, they would write songs together. During their adventure across the country, Tim, pretty much, took the roll as Avi's manager. Finding him places to sing. With Tim's help, Avi was making quite a name for himself.

"Hey, Babe." Tim says softly as he squeezes Avi's hand.

"Hmm?" Avi hums as he napped with his head resting against the window.

"We're here." Tim smiles.

"Where's here?" Avi asks as he stretches.

"The Grand Canyon." Tim answers.

"WHAT?! THE GRAND CANYON!!??" Avi shouts as he quickly sits up. "OH, MY GOD! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!??"

"Totally." Tim chuckles as he gets out of the car and stretches.

"I've always dreamed about seeing the Grand Canyon." Avi giggles as he jumps out of the car.

"I know. You've told me. And on this trip, dreams come true." Tim says with a slight smirk.

They walk throughout the park, holding hands. Seeing the glorious sights that the state park had to offer. 

"Holy moly, Tim! Look at this." Avi says as he pulls Tim to a cliff with a protective railing around it.

They stare in awe at the sight before them, the beautiful Grand Canyon.

"Isn't this the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?" Avi asks, just barely above a whisper. As if speaking any louder would wake him up from a dream.

Tim smiles as he looks down at his lover. Avi's green eyes sparkling with excitement as he stares at the canyon. His smile fades as he takes in the beauty of his boyfriend's face.

"It's the second most beautiful thing I've seen." Tim answers softly.

"Seriously? What could be more beautiful that this?" Avi asks as he continues to stare at the wonders before him.

"You." Tim answers as he gets down on one knee.

"Get serious." Avi giggles as he looks around to see his lover on his knee. His mouth drops as he places a shaking hand over it.

"Avi, because of you, I've gained my self-respect back. You've tore down the wall that I had built around me and you've shown me how to love. Those few days that we were apart were the most miserable days of my life. I realized then that I couldn't go on without you in my life. No, I didn't have this planned. So I don't have a ring to offer you. I don't even have a home to call mine. All I have to offer you is me, if you'll have me. I love you so much. Will you marry me? Be my husband?" Tim asks as tears fill his eyes.

"Yes." Avi whispers as tears stream down his cheeks. "Yes, OH, MY GOD! YES!!!" Avi shouts. His voice echoing throughout the canyon. Tim stands up and grabs him into a tight embrace.

That night in their hotel room, Tim brushes back Avi's hair as he watches him sleep. Avi had gone right to sleep after their lovemaking. Tim kisses him lightly on the forehead then quietly gets out of bed and reaches for his phone. He slips to the bathroom to make a couple of phone calls.

Tim is awaken the next morning by light kisses on his face. He smiles as he pulls his lover into his arms.

"So where to today?" Avi asks as he rubs Tim's cheek.

"How about we head to Branson?" Tim asks as he rubs his thumb up and down his fiance's back.

"Branson? Holy cow! I've always wanted to go there." Avi says with a huge smile.

"I know. You've told me." Tim chuckles.

"Uh, Tim?" Avi says as he runs a finger down Tim's chest.

"Hmmm?" Tim answers as he closes his eyes.

"Uh, I hear but I'm not totally certain but I think they have beautiful little wedding chapels there in the Ozarks." Avi says as he bites at his bottom lip.

"Really?" Tim smirks.

"Uh huh. I know it's kinda sudden. But you think we might, uh, get married while we're there?" Avi asks in a hopeful voice.

"I'm way ahead of you, Honey Bunch. I, uh, kinda called and had one reserved." Tim says as he opens his eyes.

"Really!!??" Avi says with a huge grin.

"But. I also called Austin and Adam and your parents. None are able to come." Tim says.

"Oh." Avi says with disappointment.

"But they said to go ahead. Just video tape it." Tim says.

"They don't mind? You don't mind?" Avi asks.

"No, they don't mind. And me? I just want to have you as my husband." Tim says with a smile as the smile returns to Avi's face.

"Then we need to get up and get to moving. We got a lot to do and a lot of miles to drive." Avi says as he climbs out of bed. "We gotta go pick out our wedding rings." He adds as he runs to his suitcase.

Tim chuckles as he watches Avi run from grabbing clothes from his suitcase to the bathroom. Wearing nothing but a huge smile.

Tim stretches as he sits up in bed and reaches for his phone. He sends two text messages saying:

"He fell for it. Hook, line and sinker. See yall tomorrow."
