"Wo sameera hai...huda ki girlfriend .....fresher thi  at that time...we had literally smuggled her out of the academy....huda ki setting lagane ke liye"she laughed at their silly friend ...who used to be behave  like a macho  dude usually....how he used to get tongue tied in sameera's presence...

"Weird..."he nods fancying at the fact she had just stated...

"Why "she asks...at his not so elaborate reaction..

"Mujhe hamesha lagta tha....that you..and huda...you know..."

"Me and huda....????"she digs in further...inquiring with narrowed eyes..

"I thought...the way he was so persistent...he would eventually find a way to ..i mean..you would say yes to him....he is a nice guy..afterall"he says...stammering unable to hide discomfort and a tinge of subdued jealousy while speaking his mind...

"Sir please....huda was just a friend ..."she shrugs laughingly..."i cant imagine..how you of all people could reach to a conclusion like that .."she rolls her eyes..."mai aur huda ...seriously"laughing her heart out . falling tiredly on the bed ...

"Why not ....he loved you...he is a nice guy..."he tried to rationalize his own baseless theories internally sighing in relief....while she was busy savouring the mayo dip....least bothered...

"Par huda na sahi.....there must be someone else...taht interested you.....i mean....you must have thought of setting down sometime...with your kind of guy..."he pauses....knowing taht he should stop pushing it ...but curiosity....now we know exactly why it killed the cat .....

"Pata nai...academy me adha waqt aapke aas pas ghumti thi... kabhi ye Sab sochne ka mauka hi nai mila...."she yawns....lazily....

"Hmmm"he thoughtfully glares...at her innocent reply...which could be interpreted in many ways..but his brain warned him..not to get ahead of itself ...

"By the way....aap mujhe interrogate Kar rahe hai..
.even i can ask you things ..can't i"she pouts..annoyed  at his awkward questionnaire..she is clueless to most of the questions it contained....

"Yeah..sure..when did i eevr deny you any answers cadet singh..."

"Fine then....what if i ask same question to you....aapki zindagi me Kya sach me ab tak koi nai aai"

"Nai .....i had said you before .."he shrugged...

"Comeon.....You must have liked someone..."it was her turn to ask him some difficult questions. .

"I mean...how can a girl be so stupid to refuse you.     You would get a match in ten seconds if you decide to get married this very moment"she boasts proudly as if he is a product she is running a marketing campaign for.  Challenging him taht she would find ten potential girls who will kill to be with him...
Making him laugh internally ....
"Pata hai base par atleast das female officers mujhse aapke baare me puch chuki hai..if you are single ....wo captain daswani...she has even palnned to propose you as the mission gets over'she states."she is a national swimmer ...you know taht...delhi ki hai....quite hot as well"

He amusedly looked at her..matchmaking so keenly...trying to fix him with one of their colleagues

She asks.he intensely stares at her...
"No"he says softly ..
"Why...so"she asks..out of morbidly annoying curiosity...
"I am already in love with someone. Can't think of anyone besides her ..."....he declares...clearly......she stares at him..

And the bell rings ..

They smoothen their clothes .and sit decently away from each other .as captain randhawa comes in..

"Yeah..so you too..will have to resume the act of being a married couple for one more week.....until we track all the suspects down....and brief me with the updates of your progress..
This is rough layout of the plan..which needs to be executed ....."he hands over the laptop..eyeing the crumpled bedsheet..and chips...which naina offers him.out of awkwardness earning a glare from both rajveer and gunny
'Focus guys.its serious business going on in here....save this leisurely attitude of yours for some other mission ."he sternly instructs naina..and rajveer gets alarmed too...

Its been two days that they have started working on the mission....after being posted at same base after two years of her graduation. 
They have grown so comfortable with each other.....that often earn such amused galres from their teammates....

But thankfully people are less judgmental and annoying. Captain randhawa is a strict ass...but ...still ...no major troubles for now ..
