31. Saving Grace
"Absolutely one hundred percent never gonna happen."
Namjoon let out a sigh as he leaned against the doorframe, looking at Suga who currently had his arms across his chest as he acted like a defiant two-year-old. Seokjin was standing in front of Suga currently with a disguise in his hands. He had told them both that the best way to save their friends was for him to go to the council and convince them to hand them over. Seokjin had then proceeded to tell them that it would be better if at least one of them went with him.
However, to go with him, that person would have to wear a disguise that made them also look like an Alpacian and Suga was having none of that.
"Suga, our friends could be in danger," Namjoon tried to reason.
"That doesn't mean I need to look like that," said Suga as he moved an arm to gesture at the disguise Seokjin was still holding. "Why can't you go?"
"You're the one that volunteered," said Namjoon.
"Yeah, before I knew I'd look like pillow fluff."
"Suga, I would go, but we also agreed it would be better if I communicated with you from the outside VIA an earpiece," said Namjoon. "You're the security after all."
Suga mumbled something unintelligible under his breath as he looked at the disguise again as if it were poison.
"Don't worry," said Seokjin. "You shouldn't have to wear it for long."

The sleepy and somewhat calm Jungkook that Taehyung had witnessed not even more than a few moments ago was now long gone. The Alpacians had come to take them out of the cell and were currently escorting them down a long hallway that felt like it was never going to end. Taehyung had his eyes facing forward, only looking over at Jungkook when he noticed a movement out of the corner of his eye.
"What are you doing?" hissed Taehyung as Jungkook turned to fix him with a glare.
"Shh! I'm doing something to save our behinds! You're going to get us caught!"
Taehyung fell silent then, but still kept flitting his gaze sideways to see what Jungkook was attempting to do with the phone. Whatever plan he had going though was short-lived as they were pulled up short in front of two grand looking doors. Jungkook had managed to pop up some sort of menu on his phone, but before he could do anything else an Alpacian seemed to materialize out of nowhere.
Jungkook didn't have time to try to hide his phone away again as the Alpacian took it and began to stare down at the screen in confusion.
"HEY FURRY FREAK! GIVE ME BACK MY-"
Jungkook's tirade came to a swift end. Just as he tried to lunge for it to reclaim it, he had been tapped in the center of the forehead by the Alpacian and had fallen fast to sleep on the ground, collapsing in a heap. Taehyung and Hobi both looked at him lying on the ground between them in shock and fear.

A messy pile of bills sat beside him. Even though he wasn't looking directly at them, his mind focused on the debt he was sinking under faster than quicksand. He had never pictured his life being like this, especially after having figured out the secret to time travel with his partner and confidant.
His entire life, Jeon Hyunsik had had a fascination with the concept of time travel. It was a fascination that rooted itself in childhood fantasies. When he had grown up, he had met someone equally passionate about time travel. Together they had ventured to figure out the unknown and had been successful in doing so.
'If only my partner hadn't cheated me of my potential riches. If only he hadn't died with the secret as to where he hid the device...'
His thoughts were interrupted when his phone started to ring on his desk. He looked at the caller ID to see that it was his secretary. He had told her at the beginning of his workday to tell anyone that called that he was out of the office for the day. The fact that she was calling him must be because of something important.
"I'm sorry to bother you sir, but you told me to let you know if your adopted son's phone tracker ever turned back on."
Hyunsik sat bolt upright in his seat then as if he had been struck by lightning. Maybe the device wasn't completely lost to him after all.
"Where does it say he's located?" Hyunsik asked.
"That's the thing sir. It says he's um...somewhere in space."
Hyunsik felt as if his blood had run cold. The fact that the phone indicated he was in space meant that he was no longer stuck in the realm of the pirates.
"The time travel device is active again...I might have my saving grace within sights yet..." he muttered to himself as he hung up and looked towards the pile of bills.

AN: Here is how I pictured Suga when he was forced to dress up as an Alpacian.
I do not own the picture used.
