29. Dangerous Beauty

The planet of the Alpacians had to be the most tranquil place Namjoon had ever been in his entire life. The moment the LAME leader beamed them down onto the surface of the planet, Namjoon's eyes took in the seemingly endless fields of green that were speckled with a rainbow of flowers. He was appreciative of the fact that this planet also had oxygen so there wasn't a need to wear helmets. It gave an even further depth to the beauty that stretched before him.

The wind from the LAME ship's engines as it took off made the flowers flap about in the breeze, almost like it was waving to them. Namjoon couldn't help but to stare at all that beauty and let it sink in, wondering how a planet so beautiful could possibly harbor something so bad. Namjoon wished for nothing more than to admire the scenery some more.

Unfortunately, that was too much to ask as he almost immediately had to do damage control between Suga and Jungkook. Again.

"Stop staring at me like that!"

Namjoon turned his eyes from the beautiful scenery before him to look at Suga as he snapped, seeing that he was glaring at Jungkook who currently wore a smug smirk upon his lips.

"What? Is it illegal to stare in your direction?" asked Jungkook.

"You know what I mean when I say stop staring like that so stop acting like such a child!"

"Guys," said Namjoon with a sigh. "Cut it out. We have a mission that we need to pay attention to right now."

"Keep that manchild away from me then," snapped Suga as he looked at Jungkook, muttering under his breath, "Gloating about how he got to carry his sword off the RV..."

Namjoon heard what Suga muttered since he was standing close to him; his eyes narrowing in on the sword sheathed to the outside of Jungkook's space gear. Namjoon understood why Jungkook felt the need to carry the sword around because of the life he had come from. It would obviously take time for Jungkook to let his walls down and to feel like he wasn't living a life on the edge anymore. Suga couldn't see that side of things when it came to Jungkook's reason for carrying the sword though. All Suga could see was that Jungkook was a stubborn manchild that refused to listen to advice.

"We need to stop the bickering and work together. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can find Seokjin and get back to the RV," said Namjoon.

As Namjoon turned back around, he noticed that Hobi was gone. Concern swept over him as he turned his head every which way, seeing nothing but green fields and flowers as far as the eye could see.

"Guys...where's Hobi?" asked Namjoon.

"I'm here!" shouted Hobi; Namjoon whipping his head around to see Hobi suddenly sit up straight in the field he'd been lying in. Flower petals clung to his space suit and hair as he held a few in his hands. "Look at these! Aren't they pretty?!"

"Hobi, this is an alien planet. You shouldn't be touching those. What if they are poisonous?" asked Suga.

"Poisonous? These things?" asked Hobi before bringing them to his nose and taking a deep sniff. "Nope! They don't smell poisonous to me!"

Jungkook smirked at Suga's growing frustration at the situation, rolling his eyes as he turned to look at Taehyung standing beside him. He saw that Taehyung was half reaching out towards the flowers himself. It was almost as if he was drawn to them. Jungkook reached out a hand to grab Taehyung's wrist, pulling his fingertips up short from touching the petals.

"Don't," said Jungkook. "I think they might do something bad."

Taehyung turned his head to look at Jungkook, wanting to question his words but obeying him. Taehyung stood back up straight as Jungkook kept his grip on his wrist and looked about them as if something were about to pop out of hiding. Namjoon and Suga - meanwhile - had gone towards the overenthusiastic flower loving Hobi. They each had one of Hobi's arms and were currently trying - and failing - to yank Hobi up from the flowers and to his feet. Taehyung kept his eyes on Jungkook, cocking a brow.

"What's wrong?" asked Taehyung.

"I feel like someone is watching us," said Jungkook as he was about to turn his head to look off to the side.

Just as Jungkook did, he felt the sharp tip of a spear press ever so slightly into the small of his back. He stiffened, feeling Taehyung do the same beside him since he had yet to drop his wrist.

"Oh, I'm really getting sick of this..." muttered Jungkook.

Jungkook dropped Taehyung's wrist and was about to move to unsheath his sword when his attention was drawn to a figure that moved to stand in front of the two of them. His eyes widened in surprise, but didn't stay that way for long.

"Sleep," said the figure before pressing a tap to the center of Jungkook's forehead.

Jungkook didn't know what came over him as he felt the energy leave his entire body. He felt a severe wave of exhaustion wash over him as he tipped backwards. The spear that had been in his back was gone as he fell backwards into the arm of something soft and fluffy; the world about him growing fuzzy at the edges. He barely had the energy it took to turn his head and look at Taehyung. Taehyung's eyes were already shut; his limp body being carried away by two more figures that looked like the one that had laid this weird spell over him.

'I can't believe I'm being carried off by a bunch of Alpaca looking aliens,' thought Jungkook before he passed out.

Namjoon, Suga, and Hobi weren't any wiser to what was going on behind them as Namjoon and Suga were still trying to tug Hobi up from the flowers. It was obvious that the flowers had some sort of effect on Hobi who was nothing but giggles as he kept slumping backwards to be closer to the flowers.

"That's it! No more fried chicken for you!" snapped Suga as he grunted with Namjoon as they kept trying to drag Hobi to his feet. "You are like a ton of bricks!"

"Suga be nice," said Namjoon.

Namjoon turned his head then to look back at where they had left Jungkook and Taehyung, noticing that they were gone. Standing where they had been were two human sized alpacas that were standing upright. They were all decked out in white cloud like fur with deep blue bandanas about their necks. Painted across each cheek were two black war paint like stripes. They each held a spear in their hands and were looking right at them.

"Um...Suga?"

Suga turned to look in the direction Namjoon was.

"What the..."

Suga's words got cut off as the two Alpaca like figures moved towards them.

"I think we need to run," said Suga.

"But Hobi..."

Suga grabbed Namjoon by the arm and took off running, dragging him behind him as they ran through the field. Namjoon kept his head turned as Suga dragged him along, watching as the two Alpaca figures stopped chasing them as they surrounded a super giggly Hobi. Even though Namjoon hated leaving Hobi behind, he knew that they wouldn't have been able to do anything in that situation. They had to avoid capture if they had any hope of saving their friends.

"Where are we going?" asked Namjoon as Suga kept tugging him along; the field of flowers giving way to some sort of village.

"I don't know. We just need to find some place to hide for now!" said Suga as they stumbled into the village.

Thankfully the village was mostly empty at this point in time, though that was as much a curse as it was a blessing. As soon as those alpaca things decided to pursue them, they'd be spotted without any problem. Namjoon looked about the village to see that there was absolutely no where to hide. It was barren and empty.

"Hey! In here!"

Namjoon and Suga looked around them, wondering where the voice had suddenly come from. Neither of them had time to register who the owner of the voice was as they were suddenly dragged inside a nearby structure. As the door shut, Namjoon and Suga were greeted by darkness. When Namjoon's eyes adjusted to the darkness surrounding them, he noticed that there was a source of light tucked into the back of the room from the stove.

"It's been so long since I've seen humans!" said the voice; Namjoon turning his head to look for the owner of it.

"Oh, it is dark in here, isn't it?" asked the voice, somehow able to see Namjoon looking about. "Let me turn on a light."

A click of a string light above them soon illuminated the room in mellow yellow light. When Namjoon's eyes landed on the face of the voice, his eyes widened in shock.
