14. All Aboard
'Why is everything about these men so stinky?' thought Taehyung as he tried not to wince at the putrid smell of the pirate standing in front of him as he was surveyed on the main deck of the ship.
Even though the wind had been light, Jungkook seemed to be a master at harvesting it. Within what felt like no time, they had made it back to the grand ship that bobbed in the waves. Jungkook and Dunder had hauled Taehyung aboard and he now currently stood on the deck with his arms still bound behind his back; the pirates on the deck circling him like vultures while they waited for their captain to come out of the study.
"I've never seen anything like it..." mumbled the stinky pirate currently in front of him, using a dirty digit to move aside Taehyung's hair to view the golden scar clearly.
"Let me see!" insisted another, elbowing the pirate in front of Taehyung off to the side to get a view of it himself. "Do ye suppose it's real?"
"Of course it's real! Look at it!"
Taehyung cast his eyes away from the pirates directly in front of him to notice Jungkook standing off to the side. He was leaning on one arm against the side of the ship, watching them all circle Taehyung with a passive look upon his face. Jungkook's gaze only shifted away from Taehyung when a creaky door could be heard opening off to the right. In fact, all the pirates stopped and turned towards that direction too. Taehyung turned his own head to see what they were looking at, watching as an immaculate man soon came out of the shadows and onto the main deck.
The man was just as washed up and put together as Jungkook. In fact, he was so pristine that Taehyung had a hard time believing the man in the red coat and matching pants was actually a pirate. His stony gray almost black eyes were a heavy contrast to his sun-bleached brown hair and matching beard. He walked slowly over to Taehyung; the pirates around him parting like waves until he was stood directly in front of Taehyung. Taehyung told himself not to flinch when the man reached out a surprisingly clean finger to brush Taehyung's hair aside. A sly grin spread across the man's lips seeing the glint of gold.
"Well lookey there. I couldn't believe my ears at first, but I see that the rumors are true. You're quite a golden boy."
Taehyung didn't say anything to the man, causing him to smirk in amusement as he used his finger to trace the path of Taehyung's golden scar.
"Where are my manners? My name is Captain. What's your name?"
Taehyung kept his lips pressed together. Unlike earlier when Jungkook had asked for his name, he found himself unable to open his lips and reply.
"His name is Taehyung," said Jungkook, causing Captain to look his way.
"How do you know his name? Did he tell you?"
Jungkook gave a curt nod of his head as he remained leaning where he was; a smirk of amusement crossing Captain's face as he looked from Jungkook to Taehyung and back again.
"Interesting that my golden boy and the boy literally made of gold seem to get along."
Captain looked at Taehyung for a moment more before digging a knife out of his pocket. Taehyung's eyes moved to focus on the point of the knife as Captain brought it closer to his forehead, tapping the point of the knife at one tip of the scar.
"I wonder how much gold he is hiding..."
Captain had barely applied pressure to the knife when Jungkook stepped away from where he had been leaning to come stand beside Taehyung. He reached up a hand to grab the knife, making Captain bring his hand down.
"You can't be reckless extracting the gold. You could tarnish it," said Jungkook.
Taehyung was surprised that Captain didn't stab Jungkook on the spot for jumping in like that. Captain pointed the blade of the knife at Jungkook, using it to gesture as he asked, "Do you know how to extract the gold without hurting him?"
"Yes," said Jungkook bluntly; the captain thrusting the knife at Jungkook, causing him to take it into his hand.
"You do it then. I expect it to be done by tonight."
Jungkook went silent again as he nodded his head in understanding, watching as Captain looked at the two of them again before turning to walk back to his quarters. The pirates on the deck were all murmuring to each other as Jungkook grabbed Taehyung tightly by the shirt sleeve and escorted him briskly across the deck. Taehyung was completely clueless as to what was going on as he half stumbled down a short flight of stairs to the area below deck, walking along for a little while longer before arriving at some sort of cabin. Jungkook practically thrust him head over heels inside. Taehyung unceremoniously landed on his bum on the floor of the cabin as Jungkook shut the door behind him.
Unable to look directly at Jungkook, he cast his eyes about the room instead like a frightened deer. Rope was almost artistically crisscrossed across the ceiling above his head. To the far right of the room was a messy bed that was sagging so badly it looked like the mattress had given up on everything. Swords hung on the wall above it as if Jungkook was always prepared for a fight. Windows with fake golden grating over them were off on the left wall; Taehyung clearly able to see the water outside as the ship chopped through it.
His eyes were redirected back to Jungkook as he watched him walk past him towards his bed. Jungkook got down on his knees beside it, yanking out a box from underneath it. Taehyung gulped when he saw all the tinier weapons that were hidden inside; Jungkook setting Captain's knife on his bed for now.
"Are you going to kill me?" asked Taehyung quietly, listening as Jungkook chuckled.
"You don't trust me, huh?" asked Jungkook without looking at him.
"Well no. You kidnapped me. You brought me here."
Jungkook didn't say anything in response as he found what he was rummaging for in the box. He had his back to Taehyung in such a way that he couldn't see what Jungkook was taking out.
"Well, it doesn't matter if you don't trust me," said Jungkook; Taehyung feeling a shiver travel down his spine as Jungkook added, "You're not going anywhere."

Suga was grumbling under his breath as he walked down the path that Namjoon had raced down several minutes ago. When Namjoon had run off, Suga and Hobi had managed to subdue the other two pirates in town relatively quickly. Now it was time to see where Namjoon had disappeared off to. As Suga walked along, he was trying to control his irritation towards Hobi who was currently gloating about how hay was the thing that saved the day.
"I told you that hay would be useful!"
"Hobi, you got lucky. That's all it was."
"Well luck or not, this saved the day!" crowed Hobi as he moved to wave a piece of hay in Suga's face as they continued to walk along the path.
Suga let out a soft growl, swatting Hobi's hand away from his face. Hobi had been lucky as he had stated. Shortly after Hobi had jumped on the back of one of the men, the man had started a sneezing fit. Suga - who had only recently disarmed the man in front of him - turned to watch how the man practically crumbled to the ground from all the sneezing. Come to find out, the man had a paralyzing allergy to the hay that Hobi had shoved into his pocket before they left the RV that morning.
"Stop talking about your stupid hay..." mumbled Suga as they finally saw water dot the horizon in front of them.
Just as they stepped over the ridge, they saw Namjoon standing there. Gripped tightly in one fist was the collar of the runaway pirate's shirt; the bottle that Namjoon had fashioned as a weapon on the ground by his feet. The pirate's nervous eyes flitted towards Suga and Hobi as they approached.
"Where's Taehyung?" asked Hobi as they came to a standstill behind Namjoon.
"The pirates took him back to the ship," said Namjoon as he turned to look at them. "We need to get to the ship to save him."
"That's crazy! That's suicide!" responded the pirate as he trembled.
Namjoon turned his gaze back to the frightened man before him.
"I don't care. We aren't about to let anything happen to our family," Namjoon stated.
"Well, you'll have to find a way to get there on your own because I'm sure as -"
Whatever the pirate had been about to say was cut off as Suga grabbed him gruffly by the collar, yanking him out of Namjoon's grasp. The man had no choice but to lock his eyes on Suga's.
"You will take us to the ship. Understood?" asked Suga in an intimidating manner.
The man nodded his head frantically out of fear; Suga still not releasing his hold on the man's collar as he dragged him along like a naughty child down towards the shore.
"What's wrong with Suga?" asked Namjoon as he stood there for a moment and watched Suga drag the man along.
"Hay," said Hobi simply, causing Namjoon to look at him in confusion.
