Hailee was in bed, this time, her own as she was allowed home now. She still needed to rest and take it easy though.

Clem walked in with a tray containing a glass of water and 2 chocolate chip muffins. She lay it down on the table next to Hailee. "Hi Hails. How are you feeling?"

Hailee smiled at her. "Hi Clem. Come sit with me, I've missed you. And I'm feeling a lot better"

Clem smiled and sat with her. Hailee then opened up her arms, indicating she can hug her. Clem wasted no time and hugged her, biting her lip to hold back her tears.

Hailee could sense something was wrong. "Clem? What's wrong?"

Clem pulled away and wiped away her tears. "I'm so lost Hailee! Mum and Dad barely stop fighting long enough to help me out with homework or just talk to me about how my day was. I know it's so pathetic! I just, I really want things to go back to how they used to"

Hailee frowned and sat up, holding Clem's hand. "Clem, one thing I know is that parents, sometimes let you down. They make you feel things no one should ever have to feel. And that's not your fault. It's not pathetic at all. You're a bright girl, Clem. From now on, you're living with us. I'm sure gran and grandad won't mind"

Clem was taken aback. "R-Really?!"

"Yes really!", smiled Hailee. "You're not just my cousin you're my little sister too"

Clem smiled and hugged her. Inside she felt cold and guilty. She had hee reasons for making sure Hailee couldn't get into the school in England but it didn't make her feel very good.

"Do you have Carter's number?", asked Clem, changing the subject.

Hailee furrowed an eyebrow. "Why?"

"I want to take her out for Lunch. As an apology", said Clem.

Hailee smiled, proud. "That's a great idea! I'll call her later"
