8~ Trapped~ Betty

I woke up to darkness. Pure darkness. My hands were bound behind me and my legs in front. I know, classic, right? There was a blindfold over my eyes for the longest time until I heard someone walk up to me. They ripped the blindfold from my face, and I shut my eyes even though there wasn't a lot of light in the room. The room. Where exactly was I?  I eventually opened my eyes and let them adjust. A few feet in front of me were four people, men to be exact. They all just stood there unmoving, like statues. I swiveled my head as far as I could until my neck hurt from trying to pinpoint where I was. I saw a bed in the upper left corner and a table off to the side. There were posters and small notes on the wall that looked like they had been ripped from a magazine or notebook. Then I noticed a long circular hallway in front of everything that led to a latter. I knew this looked all too familiar. It was Dilton and Ben's bunker. I hadn't been here in a while, and as far as I knew, everyone else was too busy to spend time here either.  "You've finally decided to wake up. Thought you might have been dead after the first ten hours," a woman's voice said from behind me.  I tried to turn around to get a good look at the person, but the chair prevented me. I heard them stand from a chair in the bottom right corner of the room and then they walked over to me slowly. As soon as they stood right in front of me, I immediately knew who it was. The rumors were true.  "So, you've taken to capturing people to get your way with the world? That's shallow, even for you Penny. Oh, no sorry, scratch that. That's almost, I guess, normal. What was shallow though, was capturing a dog and expecting some sort of ransom or victory from it," I said.  She just laughed at me and paced back and forth.  "Actually, this is much better. You've not only been 'missing' for quite a while now, if you haven't noticed, you're also not out in the open where just anyone can find you. No one is there to suddenly appear and rescue you, not even Jughead," she said smirking.  I thought it over for a minute and I admit that this was an okay plan. Yet, why? Why did she need to kidnap me and what is the purpose of her coming back to Riverdale, except to annoy us?  "So, what's your plan? Not that I need every detail, but I would very much like to know why I'm here so that we might reconsider killing you in the end," I told her.  "Very funny. You think there's an end? We're here to stay," she told me leaning in a bit closer to my face. "I'll remind you that we were here even before any of you actually cared about the Serpents. If any of your little friends from the southside were with us, then I'm sure this wouldn't be happening."  "Well, none of our friends are or ever will be on your side. Plus, you're still the leader of the Ghoulies, so definitely zero respect will be there for you. The past doesn't matter. What matters is you need to get the hell out of our town before we do something that you would do to us. I'm sure you won't appreciate that," I said.  "I guess I wouldn't, but that won't come close to happening. Betty Cooper, we have plans for you that I'm sure you and your friends will appreciate even less," she said.  For hours on end, I sat there. They had put the blindfold back over my eyes but it's not like I've never been here before. I thought a lot about what she said. She said she had plans for me. I do not like the sound of that.  Everything was mostly quiet for the longest time. Though after what I assumed would be three hours, I heard someone come down the latter and shut the trapdoor. They walked through the room, past me, and to the table behind me where I guessed Penny was. There was faint whispering, but I couldn't make anything out.  "They are? How?" I suddenly heard Penny say loudly.  She sounded very panicked like something bad had happened. Or, who knows, it might just be something good for me but bad for them.
