As V went up to Archie, I walked up to Jughead. I gave him a hug and looked at him closely.  "You be okay, alright?" I told him.  He reassured me that he'd be fine. I looked at him with seriousness in my eyes. I really didn't want to get even remotely close to losing him. The Ghoulies were and still are dangerous. By now, it seemed as though Penny was undefeatable.  "Hey, lose those thoughts, okay? I will be fine, I promise. I'm not going anywhere," he said bringing me out of my thoughts and basically reading my mind.  We touched lips for a brief moment before he pulled me in to hug him. He took his beanie off and handed it to me. I ran my hands through his hair and hugged him tightly once more before pulling away.  "Bye Juggie," I said.  "I love you, Betty Cooper," Jug said.  "I love you," I responded.  Veronica kissed Archie goodbye and they left to lead everyone against Penny.  V and I were placing some small groups of people around outside close to Pops for protection. The groups were circling the area where we believed the Ghoulies would come from. Meanwhile, after the Ghoulies that chose to fight left the main camp, F.P. and a group of officers are going to storm the camp and arrest any Ghoulies still there. Then they're going to come from behind the bigger group heading into town whilst Archie and Jug are heading towards the front of them.  We walked out the front of Pop's and watched Jughead and Archie walk towards everyone. They called all of the Serpents, Poisons, and the Bulldogs together for a meeting.  "In roughly five minutes we're going to head into battle with Penny Peabody, Malachai, and the rest of the Ghoulies. We are going to win and get them out of Riverdale once and for all!" Jug said inspiring everyone.   Everyone cheered and shouted. Once they had finished Jughead and Archie turned around and everyone gathered into one big group. Then, they waited for the call from F.P. that they could go. The call was to ensure that everyone at the main camp had been cleared out and the group was advancing. Suddenly, my phone rang. It was my mom.  "Betty, what are you doing? Are you with Jughead?" my mom questioned agitatedly.  "No, mom. I'm outside of the diner with Veronica. Jughead is with Archie and they're preparing for the Ghoulies to attack them," I responded.  "What do you think you're doing?" she asked raising her voice.  "I'm just standing here. We're not doing anything except supporting them and keeping a lookout for Ghoulies," I said knowing just what she was going for.  "Ghoulies? I thought it was just Penny! Elizabeth get home right now!" yelled my mother.  "No, mom. I'm here for Jughead. For everyone. Unless we want them to grow in numbers, raid this small town again, and possibly take it over, then we need to help them," I said.  With that, I hung up on her and turned my phone off. I tightened my ponytail and glanced at Veronica who was standing there holding her coffee.  "What was that about?" V asked.  "It was my mom. She called me, yelled at me for being here, and told me to get home," I said.  "Are you going then?" asked Veronica.  "Of course not. We need to help Jughead and Archie. My mom is crazy," I said.  Only about two minutes left before Penny could possibly arrive here. They're going to have to go soon if they want to make sure that they don't make it to the diner.  As we were watching them Jughead pulled out his phone. He put it to his ear and started talking into it. He hung up and turned to Archie. He spoke softly then turned around.  "Let's go!" Jughead yelled. Everyone cheered and headed in the direction of the camp. I hope that they can finally get rid of Penny. It's been long enough, and I think it's time they melt her metal exterior.
