Right after B and Jughead left, Archiekins and I went to ask Pop Tate if he had seen anything. He said that he didn't so we assumed no one else would have anything on the Ghoulies coming back. They probably didn't even get this far into town yet.             

We drove over to the high school but since it was a Saturday, not many people were there. Of course, we asked Mr. Weatherbee and the rest of the staff. There were some students, but not nearly enough to know about what was going on. We would have to come back on a weekday.             

"On Wednesday I have football practice. We could ask everyone on the team before we have to play," Archie offered.             

"That would probably be better Archiekins. We should do that. But since we haven't come up with anything yet, do you have any idea where else we could go?" I asked.             

"I got it. What about La Bonne Nuit?" he asked.             

I can't believe I hadn't thought about that. I mentally slapped myself.             

"Great idea. I can't believe I didn't think about that. But first, we should also go to El Royale and question any of the guys there," I said.             

"Alright, Mad Dog might know more than the others so we should ask him first," Archie replied.             

After we left El Royale we went to La Bonne Nuit. There weren't many people around, but I did see a few Pretty Poisons hanging around and helping out. We went to talk to them first, figuring Betty and Jughead wouldn't think to come here.             

"Hey, Peaches. We're wondering if you or any of the Poisons here have heard anything about the Ghoulies in Riverdale," I said.             

"Veronica, there has been a rumor going around. And that rumor states that a group of Ghoulies may be hiding out near where they found Jason Blossom's body on the banks of Sweet Water River," she revealed.             

"Okay," I thanked her.             

"I'm going to text Betty and see if Jughead and her can meet us here in a little bit. Meanwhile, let's go grab something to drink," I said.              "I'm all for that. Let's go," Archie said.

Betty and Jughead finally arrived.              "What's up, guys? Did you find anything out?" Betty inquired.             

"Yeah, so, it turns out that there may be a small group living on the banks of Sweet Water River near where Kevin and Moose found Jason," Archie began.             

"Then we should check out that place first. Betty and I found out that there is a large group of what we are assuming are Ghoulies in Fox Forest. Sweet Pea thinks that it may be their main hideout, but it was too large of a group to take on," Jughead finished.             

"As for the Poisons, Cheryl and Toni haven't heard anything, and nothing from the rest of them," Betty said.          

"Well, then the only Poisons that did hear about it are here. We talked to Peaches and she gave us this information," said Archie.             

"I'll grab some Serpents and we can head down to Sweet Water River to look out for them, and possibly catch a couple," said Jughead.             

"Righto," we said as we all nodded our heads and got up to leave.   Time to get the Ghoulies out of Riverdale.             

We all arrived a little way down from where we heard that the Ghoulies were rumored to be hiding out. Jughead sent scouts out to see if we were headed in the direction of the right place. When we got closer to the banks, we started hearing noise. The Serpent scouts arrived and informed us that we were close. We spread out and circled the area. We slowly got closer and their hideout came into vision. It was a messy campsite, and I was surprised it hadn't fallen into the river yet. There had to be about seventy Ghoulies around, throwing bottles and yelling. I couldn't see into the camp very well, but I don't think that Penny was there.              "I see Malachai," Jughead told us. Malachai entered the camp out of a fort and came to the middle where there was a large bonfire.              "Listen up! We are back in Riverdale and don't want anyone to know until tonight, so keep it down! When we head into town we are heading for the diner. Don't stray off. We will be heading to our main camp to meet Penny and will head into town at eight p.m. from there," he spoke.             

All of the Ghoulies cheered.  "Does everyone know where we are headed?" Malachai asked.  They all nodded and turned to start walking into Fox Forest, just where the Serpents had guessed their main camp was.             

"Retreat," Jughead whisper-yelled to everyone.   Out of the thirty scouts he had sent, only seven had returned. I assumed that they had been captured by Ghoulies or held up in something. Now we didn't have enough people to attack the camp, and if we did try, they could call their main camp.             

We headed to the Pembrooke and sat at my dining table.             

"We're going to have to grab everyone that we can to outnumber Penny, Malachai, and the rest of the Ghoulies. Hopefully, we can stop them before they reach Pops. Archie and I will try to convince the football team and get the Serpents. Will you two try to get Toni and Cheryl to bring their Poisons out? If you can then meet us back in front of Pop's in an hour," Jughead told us.             

Betty and I hugged Jughead and Archie then we all left. We decided that we would try my speak-easy first. We guessed correctly so we didn't have to go
