Months ago, before when the Southside Serpent's came to Riverdale High School, and before when Clifford Blossom have died, and way before Jughead decide to move back with his dad again, Serena was in Archie's bedroom with Archie and Jughead playing video games.

"Gotta stop blowing us up Archie." Said Jughead as he keeps on playing.

"You two are going the wrong way." Said Archie as he play as well.

"You're going the. . ." Said Serena as she tried to speak and play.

"What are you doing?" Asked Jughead.

Then the game have ended by an explosion and Serena, Archie, and Jughead were upset that they lost.

"Come on." Said Archie as he rolled his eyes.

"Your the one who keeps accidentally killing us Archie." Said Serena as she looks at Archie.

"War is hell, you guys." Said Archie.

"No, Archie, hell is other people." Said Jughead as he rolled his eyes.

That got Serena to laugh a bit, then the door of Archie's bedroom began to knock, and then Fred have began to come in.

"Hey, guys, getting pretty late and. . ." Said Fred until he smell something awful." Whoa! It's kinda ripe in here. Does someone wanna open a window?"

"I got it." Said Archie as he opens his window.

"You settling in, Jug?" Asked Fred.

"Oh, completely." Said Jughead as he look at Fred." It's like Archie and I are just roommates in a college dorm."

"Oh, great. What does that make me, the RA?" Asked Fred.

"No, you're the third roommate." Said Archie as he smiles.

"All right, guys." Said Fred as he looks at the boys and Serena." I got a big day tomorrow."

"Yeah, breaking ground on the SoDale project, right?" Asked Serena.

"Yeah." Said Fred and he looks at Serena." Indeed, we are. Sorry, 'cause I know it's kind of a sore spot with you, Jughead, about the drive-in."

"As long as you build something beautiful in its place." Said Jughead as he looks at Fred.

"Well, I don't know about beautiful, but it's gonna be big." Said Fred as he looks a bit worried." Serena, your mother here to come get you."

"Okay, thank you Mr. Andrews." Said Serena as she got up and starts to go." Night, guys, I'll see you tomorrow at school."

"Night, Serena." Said Archie and Jughead as Serena left.

The next day after school, Serena was walking by with Archie after his date with Val, and then Archie looks at Serena.

"So Serena, are ever thinking about having boyfriend or something?" Asked Archie.

"I don't Archie, I mean a the boys keep asking me out, but I don't feel like have a boyfriend yet." Said Serena as she looks at Archie." I mean, you and Jughead are like brothers to me, and Betty, Cheryl, and Veronica are like sisters to me."

"I know that, but I really hope you will have a boyfriend soon, and if he ever hurts you, I will come after him." Said Archie.

That got Serena to smile at Archie, then they have arrived at his house, and once they enter, they see Fred looking really upset as he was talking into the phone.

"Don, I just need a few guys from your crew, a couple to get me started." Said Fred as he was talking into the phone." I did check, I'll get back to you, Don."

Then when Fred Andrews have hang up his phone, Serena and Archie have started to feel a bit concerned about the call, and then Archie started to speak first.

"What was that about?" Asked Archie as he look at his dad.

"It's all good." Said Fred as he tried stay positive." How was your date with Val?"

"It was good." Said Archie as he puts down the pizza box." I got you some slices."

"How are you and mom doing Serena?" Asked Fred as he looks at Serena.

"We're doing great, we just came back from getting some groceries." Said Serena as she smiles and knows that something is wrong." Did something happen at work?"

"Cliff Blossom made my crew an offer they couldn't refuse so they walked." Said Fred as he explains." Every last one of 'em."

"Screw em, then." Said Archie as he looks at his dad." Anyone who'd rather work for Clifford Blossom than you is crazy, Dad."

"Archie is right, Clifford Blossom is just a very selfish man." Said Serena as she looks at Fred.

"Dad, what is it?" Asked Archie as he look concerned." You always make me talk to you about my problems."

"Yeah, and you always help me whenever I had problems." Said Serena as she looks at Fred.

"The business, it's in trouble, you two. Has been for a long time." Said Fred as he explains." Big jobs are just few and far between, that's why this SoDale thing is so important to me, I can't break ground without a crew, so every day I'm just hemorrhaging cash, we've got equipment sitting there, supplies, bills that are past due."

"Dad, why didn't you tell me?" Asked Archie as he look at his dad." I had no idea."

"Me neither, how come you never even told me or my mom, we would've help you." Said Serena as she look worried.

"It was never supposed to get this bad." Said Fred as sights." You work your ass off to build something, and in one false step you could lose everything."

"No, Dad, you're not losing anything." Said Archie as he looks at his dad." We'll figure this out."

Serena have began to feel really worried about Archie's father, that she agree to help as well, because Fred is like a dad to her just like FP Jones. The next day, at the Thorn Hills, Clifford Blossom was about to leave to do some business, when Fred came and stop his car, and Clifford got out of his car.

"Fred." Said Clifford as he was shock.

"You try to hire my crew on the first day of construction?" Asked Fred as he look at Clifford.

"Opportunity knocks when it knocks." Said Clifford as he explains." Nothing personal."

"Yeah, it never is with you guys." Said Fred as he look at Clifford." So what is it, the development, what?"

"That land you're building on, it belonged to my family." Said Clifford as he explains." We founded our maple empire on it. Now, we were in the process of trying to reacquire it, buy it back, when your mysterious boss, he, he just stole it right out from underneath us."

"And you can't go after him, so you come after me." Said Fred as he tries to understand.

"The way your boss does business deals, secret deals, building that SoDale monstrosity at the speed of light kinda makes me think that he has a limited amount of funds." Said Clifford as he explains.

"So you're gonna halt construction, bleed him out." Said Fred as he understands what Clifford is doing.

"Reacquire the land at a more reasonable rate." Said Clifford.

"That's a great plan." Said Fred.

"Thank you." Said Clifford as he feels flatter.

"Except you're bleeding me out, too, you pompous ass." Said Fred as he felt a bit mad." You're messing with my business, my livelihood, my son's future. I don't care if you're the richest man in Riverdale, I will come after you with everything I've got."

"Which is what, exactly?" Asked Clifford Blossom." You know, when I was planning to bleed out your boss, I was planning on getting to Sabrina and Serena first, since Serena has no father and her mother working so hard, maybe I should've go to them first."

"Leave Serena and Sabrina out of this, what do they have anything to do with this?" Asked Fred as he feel protective.

"Well, since apparently Serena doesn't know that her father is a Southside Serpent, apparently I was thinking on how come she and son Jason couldn't date." Said Clifford Blossom." How come she didn't died instead of Jason?"

"If you come near Serena, I will hurt in every part of your body." Said Fred as he felt angry.

"Go park somewhere else." Said Clifford as he goes back to his car.

Ten Fred have started to drive back to Fred's Construction, then as he enter the building, Hermione Lodge saw that he enter, and then she started to ask Fred on how it go.

"How did it go with Clifford?" Asked Hermione as she looks at Fred.

"Good, insofar as I didn't knock him on his ass, which I would really love to do." Said Fred as he began to sit down." He's in some kind of grudge match with the owner of this land. Lucky us, we're caught in the crossfire."

"And this mysterious buyer Does Cliff know who he is?" Asked Hermione as she looks a bit nervous.

"No, he's as in the dark as we are." Said Fred and then they here car tires squealing outside." What the hell now?

Outside of the building, Archie, Serena, Jughead, Kevin, Moose, and another boy have started to get out some equipments, put in some hard working helmets, and started to go to Fred as soon as he and Hermione went outside.

"What is this?" Asked Fred.

"Your new crew, reporting for duty." Said Archie as he smiles.

"I appreciate it, I do, but isn't there something more important you need to be doing?" Asked Fred." Like going to school, playing football, or better yet like cheerleading practice Serena?"

"We can work after practice and on weekends." Said Serena as she smiles." Until you find a new crew. Help keep things on schedule."

"Come on, Dad." Said Archie." I worked for you the whole summer."

"And these guys." Said Serena as she smiles.

"We're bruiser studs, Mr. Andrews." Said Jughead as he smiles." At least some of us are."

"Come on." Said Archie.

"Desperate times, Fred, huh?" Said Hermione and then Fred sight.

"All right." Said Fred as he smiles." Here we go."

So the boys and Serena have started to help Fred as Hermione started to go to meet Alice in Pop's. A few hours passed by, and they boys and Serena are still working at the construction, and then Moose started to pick up some rocks with the other boy.

"This is awesome." Said Moose as he smiles." Moving rocks beats working out in our crappy weight room."

"Hey, Keller!" Said the boy as he looks at Kevin." Looking good, looking buff. We should get you on the team."

"I prefer my contact sports one-on-one, you know, like Boxing." Said Kevin.

"Well I say that's kinda cool Kevin." Said Serena as she smiles at Kevin.

"Say Serena, if you want to go out on a date, you can always come to me." Said the boy as he smirks.

"Thanks, I'll think about that." Said Serena as she rolls her eyes and smiles.

So Serena have started to put the rock at one side, then she started to go to Archie and Jughead, and then Jughead started to speak.

"Pretty handy with that wheelbarrow, Archie." Said Jughead as he looks at Archie." You know, if the whole music thing doesn't pan out, you can always have manual labor as a fallback."

"Don't even joke." Said Archie as he grins." I did this all summer long, remember? My dad loves this kind of work. And I love him, but. . ."

"No, we know Archie." Said Serena as she smiles." Your dad's path is not for you."

"Trust me, I get it." Said Jughead as he looks at Archie.

"He works his ass off for me, you guys, but never asks for anything." Said Archie." Always has my back, even when I mess up.
So if having his back means I gotta haul some rocks, then bring it on."

"Agreed." Said Serena as she smiles." Your dad has always me and mom's back whenever we are struggling, and when my dad died."

"Your dad's got my back, too." Said Jughead." More than some people."

"Exactly." Said Archie.

Serena have seen the look at Jughead's face, meaning that he was talking about his father, and started to feel really worried. Then after a few more hours later, it was begin to get into night time, and then the boys and Serena have started to head inside the building.

"Hey, guys, you were a life-saver today." Said Fred as he smiles." I appreciate it. Hard hats go in the bin, and there's sodas in the fridge."

Then as the boys have begun to put the hard hats away and getting a soda, Serena have started to go inside her pockets, and she realized that she have forgotten her phone outside.

"Oh no!" Said Serena as she looks at the other." Hey, guys, I forgot my phone, I'll be right back."

So Serena have started to go to get her phone outside, then she saw two men grabbing some crowbars and started to smash the equipments.

"Hey!" Said Serena as she looks at the two men." Hey, get away from there!"

Then when two men saw Serena, they raise their crowbars to Serena and goes to her, Serena have started to back up a bit, and started to scream. The boys and Fred saw the lights going crazy and heard Serena screaming, then they went outside running, and they saw the two men beating up Serena and started to go to the truck and drive up.

Serena was on the ground, looking a bit in pain, she holds her arm, is bleeding on her forehead, and has a few bruises. Then she rolled over on side, and then the boys and Fred have came to see if Serena is okay.

"Serena, are you okay?" Asked Archie as he began to feel so worried.

Fred lean down to help Serena a bit, as Kevin begin to help Serena, and the other boys began to feel so worried.

"Stay down." Said Fred as he looks really worried." We'll get you some help."

"Who did this to you, Serena?" Asked Jughead.

"No clue." Said Serena as she groans a bit." But they said, as long as we keep working, they're gonna keep coming back."

Then Fred have started to go inside the building to call Sherriff Keller, then the boys have help Serena and clean up the blood on her forehead, then Archie gave Serena an ice pack. Then a few minutes later, Sheriff Keller came.

"What the hell happened?" Asked Sheriff Keller.

"Serena, over there, she caught a couple of guys working over my equipment with a crowbar and then they got the drop on her." Said Fred as he explains.

"Who were they, vandals?" Asked Sheriff Keller.

"Cliff Blossom has made it abundantly clear he would love nothing more than to see this whole project go belly-up." Said Fred.

"I doubt that Blossom's gonna hire some thugs to bust up your site and beat up some teenagers." Said Sheriff Keller.

Then Archie have started to think that he may know who might have done it.

"Maybe it wasn't him." Said Archie as he figures who might have done it." I mean, this is Serpent territory, right? Maybe it was them. Pissed that they had to leave 'cause of this project."

"Serpents?" Asked Kevin.

"Yeah." Said Archie.

"When I worked at the drive-in, the Serpents never bugged me." Said Jughead.

"And when my dad was alive, he was great friends with the Serpents, and they never hurt me or my mom." Said Serena as she looks at Archie.

"Did you see any snake tattoos, anything on their jackets?" Asked Sheriff Keller as he looks at Serena.

"It happened pretty fast." Said Serena as she looks at Sheriff Keller.

"All right, I'll talk to Blossom, but I mean I don't think we'll get anywhere unless we can ID these guys." Said Sheriff Keller.

"That is such bull." Said Archie as he look upset." If this was Clifford Blossom asking for help, you would say yes."

"Archie." Said Fred as he look at his son.

"What, Dad?" Asked Archie." It's true."

"It's also not helping." Said Fred as he help Serena.

The next day, Serena was in the kitchen with her mom, having some breakfast. Serena's injuries were started to get all better, and then Sabrina have started to look at her daughter.

"How are you doing Serena?" Asked Sabrina.

"I'm doing okay, just a bit sore from last night, but I'll be fine." Said Serena as she looks at her mom." But I just don't know who attack, Archie thinks it's the Serpents, but I don't think it was them."

"I know that, whoever did this to you Serena, sure doesn't want Fred to finish the construction." Said Sabrina as she looks worried." I mean, Fred's got no crew, no cash, it's getting even worse by the minute."

"Mom, I'm going to go for a walk, maybe it might help clear my head." Said Serena as she looks at her mom.

"Okay Serena, but please be careful, if anything goes wrong, give me a call." Said Sabrina as she looks at her daughter.

Serena have nodded her head and started to take her walk. As she kept on walking, someone tap on her shoulder, then she turn to see Archie, Moose, Kevin and a boy behind her.

The boy has medium-length black hair, very light blue eyes, he wears a dark blue shirt, a black leather jacket, dark blue jeans, and black shoes on. His name is Joaquin DeSantos, he is a Southside Serpent and Kevin's boyfriend.

"Oh hey Joaquin." Said Serena as she smiles.

"Hey Serena, Kevin told me what happen to you, are you okay?" Asked Joaquin.

"Sorta, I'm a bit sore, but I'll be okay." Said Sere a as she looks at Joaquin." What are you doing here?"

"We're going to the Southside to find the person who hurt you." Said Archie.

"What, are you sure that it's a good idea?" Asked Serena looking nervous.

"Yes, because we will find out who trash my dads equipment and hurt you." Said Archie as he look at Serena.

At first Serena was getting really nervous about going to the Southside, but she knows that Archie is trying to protect her, so she agrees to go with them. Then as they arrived at the Southside, they have arrived at the White Wyrm, which got Serena to get really a bit impressed.

'So this is the White Wyrm where all the Southside Serpents hang out.' Though Serena and then Joaquin started to speak.

"Remember what ww talk about." Said Joaquin." Play it cool, just like we said. Keep eye-contact to a minimum."

"And Serena, if you see the guys that jumped you, we leave, and we call Kevin's dad." Said Archie as he looks at Serena.

Serena nodded and then they have enter the building, they see many Serpents playing pole, getting a drink, and talking. Serena saw a tank with a yellow snake in it, which got her creep out.

"Serena, anything?" Asked Archie.

"Not yet, not that I see." Said Serena as she looks scared.

"We're all gonna die." Said Kevin as he look scared.

Then they decided to play a bit of pole, then Joaquin have got a ball in the hole, and looks at Kevin.

"Pay up." Said Joaquin and Kevin got out his money.

"I'm gonna get this back, right?" Asked Kevin.

"You wish, Preppy." Said Joaquin as he smirk.

Then Serena have look to see a old man and feels like she see him before which have got Archie's attention.

"Is that one of them Serena?" Asked Archie.

"I can't really tell." Said Serena." He looks kind of familiar."

Then Archie and Moose have started to go to the man which got Serena to get really scared.

"Archie, what are you doing?" Asked Serena as she got Kevin and Joaquin's attention.

"Oh, God!" Said Kevin as he and Joaquin tried to stop Archie.

"Hey." Said Archie as he tap at the mans shoulder and he turn around.

"What?" Asked the man who look like he was ready to punch Archie." You got a death wish?"

"Archie, back off." Said Joaquin.

"What the hell is this?" Asked the man looking impatiently.

"You like beating up teenagers?" Asked Archie.

"This isn't the first time one of you Bulldogs has come in here, looking to 'cause trouble." Said the man.

Then Archie have started to push the man and the man grab Archie, then the other Serpents grab Kevin, Moose, and Serena and as the man drag Archie at the pool table and was about to punch him, until a voice stops the man.

"Hey! That's enough, Mustang." Said the voice.

Then Serena have turn to see FP coming down from the stairs and she started to feel like they might get into trouble.

"Let 'em go." Said FP as the man name Mustang let go of Archie." I'll take care of this."

Then when Archie got off the pool table, the other Serpents let go of Moose, Kevin, and Serena, and Serena have started to realize that this won't go well. Then after a few minutes later, Archie, Serena, Kevin, and Moose have started to leave the White Wyrm, till FP stop Serena and Archie.

"Not you, Red and Serena, you two stay." Said FP and Archie looks at Moose and Kevin.

"We're good." Said Archie and then Moose and Kevin leave.

Then when Kevin and Moose have left, Serena and Archie have look at FP and he started to speak.

"What the hell are you two doing here?" Asked FP.

Looking for the thugs that trashed my dad's equipment and who hurt Serena." Said Archie as he explains." We figured it was the Serpents, angry for getting kicked off their land, but now that I know you're a Serpent, I'm thinking this is personal. Going after my dad, his company, that is payback, right? For when he fired you?"

"Man, you've got a bigger imagination than Jughead, and that's saying something." Said FP as smirks.

"Archie, FP will never order the Serpents to hurt me." Said Serena till she looks at FP." You wouldn't hurt me will you FP?"

"Of course not Serena, when I heard that you got beaten up I was worried." Said FP as he looks at Serena.

"This isn't a joke." Said Archie as he look at FP." My dad could lose everything."

"You think I'm responsible?" Said FP s he look at Archie." That I've been, what, waiting all these years for a chance to get back at your old man? No. No, kid, life's too short. You two don't know that now, but you will."

Then Serena and Archie have both look behind to see their parents, which have got them really shock on why they are here.

"I called him your parents, the second you two set foot in the bar." Said FP as he explains and Sabrina and Fred came to them.

"Get in the car Serena." Said Sabrina as she looks at Serena.

"Get in the truck, Archie." Said Fred as he look at his son.

Then when Serena got inside the car, Sabrina have started to drive back home, and then Serena started to speak.

"Mom, before you say anything, Archie was only trying to help me." Said Serena as she explains.

"I know sweetie, it's just that I'm not really surprised that Archie went to the Southside, and I can't imagine Fred's business is going now." Said Sabrina as she looks worried.

"I just don't understand one thing, how are you and dad are friends with the Serpents?" Asked Serena.

"Well, it's really hard to explain Serena, I will tell you when I'm ready." Said Sabrina as she looks at Serena.

Then Serena nodded and started to wonder how is her parents friends with the Southside Serpents, but little did she know, is that she will meet a few Serpents in the future and will understand how her parents are friends with the Southside Serpents.
