The next morning, at Serena's house, Serena was getting ready to get to school. She got all her books and her homework in her bag, she got her cheer outfit in her bag, and she getting her clothes on. Then as she got ready, she started to look at herself at the mirror and smile.

Serena wears a pink top with sleeves that fall off her shoulders. It is decorated with black straps and a black cross-stitched decoration with black ribbons at the end. She wears it with brown shorts and brown boots. She also wears a gold heart-shaped necklace that was a gift from her father before he died.

Then as she smiles at how she wears, she started to brush her hair to make it smooth, she put on a pretty pink flower hairclip pinned on the left side of her head. Then she started to go downstairs to where her mother is.

"Morning mom." Said Serena as she smiles.

"Good morning Serena." Said Sabrina as she smiles at her daughter." My, you look so beautiful today Serena."

"Thanks mom." Said Serena as she smiles and drinks some orange juice.

"I see that you are ready for school sweetie." Said Sabrina as she smiles.

"Of course mom, I ready to learn new stuff and I really wanted to see my friends anyway." Said Serena as she smiles.

"I see that you are wearing that necklace that your father gave you when you were just a baby." Said Sabrina as she smiles.

"Yeah, sometimes whenever I wear this, I feel like my dad is still with me." Said Serena as she smiles.

"That's exactly what your father told me the day when you are born." Said Sabrina as she smiles at her daughter." He told me that if anything ever happen to him, we will still be with us as you long as you have that necklace on."

That got Serena to smile at her mother as she holds her necklace close to her. Then she saw that she had 15 minutes left before school starts. So she said goodbye to her mother, then she grab her stuff, and she started to go to Riverdale High School.

As she arrived at the school, she started to enter, then some girls say hello to her, while all the boys look at her with goo goo eyes. Serena was just walking down the hallway to her first class, which is history, as she ignores the comments that the boys are talking about her.

'Sheesh, it's always the same thing, once you enter the school, all of a sudden, many boys wanted to go out with you." Said Serena as she rolls her eyes.

Then a few hours later, after her two classes, Serena have arrived at the student lounge where Archie, Betty, Veronica, and Kevin are waiting for her with another girl with them.

The girl with them has dark defiant brown eyes, and a trademark of bouncy thick curly hair, she wears a black long sleeve blouse on, a jaguar pattern skirt on, and black heels on. Her name is Josie McCoy, she is the daughter of the mayor, and she is singer in a band called "Josie and the Pussycats" but quit."

"Hey there guys." Said Serena as she smiles.

"Hey there Serena, how are you this morning?" Asked Veronica as she smiles.

"I'm great, how are you guys doing?" Asked Serena as she smiles.

"We're doing great, we are just only talking about things." Said Kevin as he smiles.

That got Serena to smile at her friends. But then all of a sudden, before she got the chance to sit down with her friends, someone came from behind and slap her butt which got her to gasp in shock and saw that it was a boy.

The boy has shaven hair, deep brown eyes, a muscular physique, he wears a greenish blue shirt on, denim black pants on, and black and white sneakers on. His name is Chuck Clayton, he a student in Riverdale, and Serena's love stalker.

"What the hell Chuck?!" Said Archie in anger as he, Veronica, and Betty go to Serena to see if she is okay.

"It's fine Archie, I'm okay." Said Serena as she look at her friends.

"Yeah Andrews, she said that she is alright, and I'm kinda guessing that she likes that." Said Chuck as he smirks." Isn't that right Serena?"

"Chuck, leave her alone." Said Betty as she glared at Chuck.

"Yeah, beat it you pig." Said Veronica in disgust.

"Oh I will, later, and I will be thinking about you Serena." Said Chuck as he smirks at Serena.

It got Serena to get a bit scared as she hid behind Archie. Then as Chuck starts to leave, Serena have started to sit down and then Kevin and Josie started to go to her to see if Serena is okay.

"Are you okay Serena?" Asked Josie as she hold her hand and Kevin put his hands on Serena's shoulders.

"I'm fine you two, it's okay." Said Serena as she smiles.

"No, it's not okay Serena, the way that Chuck did to you is awful!" Said Archie as he holds her hands.

"Yeah, and we feel like it's our fault." Said Betty as she and Veronica frown a bit.

"It's not your fault Betty and Veronica, you two had to find a way to show Chuck's true colors, after what he and his posses did to those poor girls." Said Serena as she looks at the two girls.

You see, a year ago at the school, Chuck use to be on the football team and the Captain of the team. When Veronica move to Riverdale, Chuck ask Veronica on a date at Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe, talking led to kissing, but it went no further.

However, this didn't prevent Chuck from telling a different story, news quickly spread around school that he gave her a "Sticky Maple", which is a slut-shaming thing in Riverdale.

Chuck was confronted by Veronica and Betty in the boy's locker room, he told Veronica it's a badge of honor, not to mention that after her make-out session with Archie in the closet, she's "not exactly virgin territory". Despite her repeated demands to take the picture down, Chuck refused, as he told her that he isn't one of the Betas she dated in the past and that resistance is futile.

After a failed attempt to stop Chuck, Veronica teamed up with Betty, and the two of them exposed Chuck by hand-cuffing him in a boiling hot tub until he confessed, on video. That, along with the discovery of the playbook, resulted in Chuck and five other football players being suspended from school as well as banned from the team by Coach Clayton, in an effort to salvage the school's reputation and his job.

But after that incident, Chuck have started to strike at Serena every time and he will keep on asking her out or do something that will make her feel uncomfortable.

"I mean, you girls did what you had to do, and he deserves it for what he did to those poor girls." Said Serena as she looks at her friends.

"Yeah, but ever since then, he's been stalking you so much during school, and let's not forget what he did to you now." Said Betty as she looks at Serena.

"I know, but there's nothing I could do about it." Said Serena as she looks at her friends." And also, we can't tell Cheryl about this, you remember what she did to him last time."

"Oh yeah, that was kinda scary." Said Kevin as he wince a bit.

Then, after they all calm down, they all started to sit down and they started to talk. Then, all of a sudden, the speakers have started to turn, and Principal Weatherbee have started to speak.

"Students of Riverdale High, this is your principal speaking." Said Principal Weatherbee on the PA." E-mails have been sent to your parents, but effective immediately, Southside High School is shut down."

As soon as Principal Weatherbee have said that, everyone have all started to gasp in shock at what their Principal

"And its students will be transferred to other schools in the district, - including this one." Said Principal Weatherbee on the PA.

Kevin have mouthed "Oh, my God" at what Principal Weatherbee just Said and Serena have started to think about this merging and though it might be s good idea.

"I believe the statement we're releasing." Said Principal Weatherbee on the PA.

"Okay, guys, let's not overreact." Said Veronica as she smiles nervously.

"Will address your concerns and theirs." Said Principal Weatherbee on the PA." You should be receiving it shortly."

Meanwhile at the gym, some of boys were practicing basketball while they were hearing the news and they did not seem really happy about it.

"I'm sure you have many questions." Said Principal Weatherbee on the PA.

"Like what the hell?" Said a boy name Reggie.

And at the girls locker rooms, the Vixens are also hearing the announcement and they were all really shock. But Cheryl was shock the most.

"But it goes without saying, we are welcoming these students with open minds, hearts and arms." Said Principal Weatherbee on the PA.

"Cheryl?" Asked a girl name Midge and Cheryl stand up and look at her.

"Hell no! My home life is a Dickensian nightmare." Said Cheryl as she frowns." I won't have school turn into one, too."

Then Cheryl grab her bag and started to leave. Meanwhile at the student lounge, everyone is still shock about the announcement and Principal Weatherbee continues.

We will give the Southside students their new course schedules or locker assignments. Thank you." Said Principal Weatherbee on the PA." That is all."

Then after Principal Weatherbee finish led his announcement, he then of his speaker, and everyone have all started to speak about what just happen.

"Wait, what does that. . ." Said Archie as he looks really confused." What does that mean?"

"It means Jughead's coming back." Said Betty as she smiles.

"Betty, are you ready for that?" Asked Kevin.

"Of course." Said Betty as she looks at Kevin." We're fine."

"But why is this happening now?" Asked Archie looking still confused.

"Who knows." Said Veronica as she starts to speak." It's probably some bizarre, Byzantine town ordinance we couldn't possibly understand."

Then she started to go to the center of the student lounge and continue to speak.

"And in the meantime, let's receive these exiles as if they were our own flesh and blood." Said Veronica as she looks at everyone." Who's in? Hmm?"

Then Serena have started to think about the announcement and started to though about something in her head. She did wanted to help many people who are judge by how they look and not care what they are inside. So she started to stand up and smile at Veronica.

"I'm in." Said Serena as she smiles.

That got Archie, Betty, Kevin, Josie, and even Veronica to get really shock at what Serena have said and then Serena started to speak.

"Besides, what I heard from Jughead, Southside High School doesn't seem to be a really great place for education." Said Serena." I mean, the classrooms have no WiFi, the bathroom stalls have no doors, and they have been selling Jingle Jangle there."

"Yeah but there are many bad gangs in that school Serena." Said Kevin as he looks at her.

"My point is, that maybe this merging might be a good start to get to know about the Southside students." Said Serena as she continues." So for now on, let's just try to make the best of it."

Then it got everyone to think maybe Serena is right. Then after a few hours later, school have finished and everyone have all started to go home. Then as Serena got home, she put her things in her room and started to go to the living room to where her mother is.

"Hey mom." Said Serena as she smiles.

"Oh hi honey, how was school today?" Asked Sabrina as she smiles.

"It was a bit shocking, because Principal Weatherbee announced that Southside High is closing, and some of the Southside students are coming to Riverdale High School." Said Serena as she looks at her mom.

"Oh yes, I heard about that news, and it seems that many parents are going to call the mayors office." Said Sabrina as she looks at Serena." How are you feeling about this sweetie?"

"I feel like this might be a great opportunity for the Southside students to get a good education." Said Serena as she smiles." And besides, the Southside students deserve a second chance."

"That's really great Serena, you have a really great heart just like your father." Said Sabrina as she smiles." So do you know which group of Southside students that are coming to Riverdale High School?"

"Well, before I left, I overheard Principal Weatherbee saying that a group of students called "The Serpents" are coming to our school." Said Serena as she explains.

"Oh, I heard about Jughead joining them, and you and I both know that your father and I are great friends with "The Serpents." Said Sabrina as she smiles.

"Yeah, I remember that you told me that you like to hangout with them back at high school." Said Serena as she smiles." And now I have the chance to get to know "The Serpents."

That got Sabrina to smile at her daughter and in her thoughts, she really wishes that she told her daughter about how she and her father are great friends with "The Serpents". Then a few minutes later, Serena got a text from Betty saying that she is going to meet Jughead at Pop's and ask if she wants to come.

"Hey mom, is it okay if I go with Betty to meet Jughead at Pop's?" Asked Serena as she smiles.

"Of course honey, call me if you want me to pick you up." Said Sabrina as she smiles.

"Okay mom." Said Serena as she grab her phone and went outside to see Betty waiting for her.

"Hey Betty." Said Serena as she smiles.

"Hey there Serena, are you ready?" Asked Betty as she smiles.

"Yeah, I'm ready." Said Serena as she and Betty walk to Pop's." So, why do you need to see Jughead?"

"I wanted to ask him if he can help me find my moms son." Said Betty as she continues to walk.

"You mean the long lost brother you and Polly that your mother had to give up for adoption?" Asked Serena as she looks at Betty and she nodded." Why?"

"You'll see when we get to Pop's." Said Betty as she and Serena continues to walk.

Meanwhile inside at Pop's diner, a boy was sitting down at a table reading something while a man was standing in front of him.

The boy has short black hair, blue-green eyes, he wears a flannel tops layered over T-shirts, jeans with hanging suspenders, a leather black jacket with a two headed snake at the back that said "Southside Serpent", a trademark grey knitted crown beanie, and black boots on. His name is Jughead Jones, he is Serena's friend, and Betty's boyfriend.

The man standing in front of him has short, black hair, light brown eyes, he wears a white button up shirt, a red bow tie, white pants on, and black shoes. His name is FP Jones, he is Jughead's father and the leader of the biker gang "The Serpents".

Jughead and his dad live in the Southside and had a happy life and FP use to work with Archie Andrews father, Fred Andrews. But when FP became involved in a string of criminal activities which would often end with him getting arrested and Fred having to bail him out. Eventually, he became too big of a liability for their company and was forced by Fred to resign.

After losing his job, FP began drinking heavily which led the Jones family to fall apart. FP's wife left him and took their daughter with her to Toledo to live with his parents-in-law, and Jughead stay away from him since then. But then he had a change of heart and try to do better for his son.

"Mayor McCoy has deemed Southside High a public health hazard due to toxic fumes from the methamphetamine lab in the basement." Said Jughead as he read the paper." There was no meth. It was just the jingle-jangle."

"So the worm turns and it's back to Riverdale High, huh?" Asked FP as he looks at his son.

"The way that all this went down, something smells fishy." Said Jughead as he looks suspicious.

"Damn straight, something smells fishy." Said FP as he scoff." You not wanting to admit the real reason you don't want to go back."

"What do you mean?" Asked Jughead.

"Ah, she just walked through the door." Said FP as he saw Serena and Betty.

"Hi FP, how are you today?" Asked Serena as she smiles.

"Hey Serena, I'm doing really great, how's your mom doing?" Asked FP as he smiles.

"She's doing really great." Said Serena as she smiles.

Then Betty and Serena have started to sit at the booth where Jughead is sitting at and they started to talk.

"Hey, thanks for meeting with us." Said Betty as she smiles.

"Yeah, no problem, I was gonna reach out and clear the air before Dr. Beaker awkwardly pairs us up in chemistry or something." Said Jughead as he looks at Serena and Betty.

"Oh yeah, I kinda remember that time." Said Serena as she smiles.

"Actually, I wanted to meet because I need help." Said Betty." You remember that baby my mom put up for adoption?"

"The Long Lost Cooper Sibling." Said Jughead as he remember." Yeah."

"I was hoping you could put me in touch with your social worker, Ms. Weiss, to see if she can help me find him." Said Betty as she looks at Jughead.

"Betty. . . Of course, I'll help." Said Jughead as he looks at Betty." But why the sudden need for a brother?"

"Actually, I wanted to know as well." Said Serena as she looks at Betty also.

"Polly had the twins." Said Betty which got Serena and Jughead really surprised." And she didn't even call my mom to tell her. I know my mom's crazy, but she's also really sad. So, maybe if she found her son, having him in our lives. . ."

"I'll send you Ms. Weiss' number." Said Jughead as he smiles.

"Thank you, Jug." Said Betty as she smiles." As for "clearing the air," I'm happy you're gonna be back at Riverdale High."

"Yeah, I really miss hanging out with you Jughead." Said Serena as she smiles." And I'm really looking forward to meet "The Serpents" and get to know them."

That got Jughead to smile at Serena and the three of them have all started to continue to talk. As they all talk, Serena have started to think about "The Serpents" but what she didn't know was that she might fell in love with one of them.
