Betty was so excited that you came out to your parents. You brought her round and, for the first time, introduced her as your girlfriend. She smiled so widely it caused you to smile too. You lifted your arm to hug her and she gratefully accepted it. The two of you stood smiley at your parents.

"Mom, dad. This is Betty. My girlfriend" you smiled slightly.

"Oh, you're girl-girlfriend?" Your mom questioned.

"Yeh. Yes. My girlfriend"

"Okay? And this happened when?" Your dad pitched in.

"A few months ago, Mr (Y/L/N)" Betty smiled.

"And we're very happy" you smiled and gave Betty a side hug.
