His hands gently laid on her hips as her arms was on his shoulders behind his neck. Both softly smiling as they looked to their lover with pure love. 

He was in love with her and She was in love with him. 

"i love you" they whispered with warm smiles before closing their eyes and joining their lips together with a perfectly sweet warm kiss under the moon. 

A love that was hidden from others for just over two years and would stay hidden until he could make her his wife. Both promised to love the other forever and only needed rings to prove to the world they belonged to the other. 

One more mission before he would knee before her in front of all and ask her to be his forever. 

Just one more and he would call her his wife forever. He wouldn't need to hide their love anymore and would be able to proudly show her off. He was counting down the days, the hours, the minutes and even the seconds until the day arrived. 

The ring in his pocket even while he was meant to be focused on the mission but how could he fully focus when their dream day has come. He followed orders and did his job like normal but just taking extra care not to get hurt or dirty since he would be asking her once they returned. 

But his luck in love wouldn't last anymore, a titan sent the tree he sat on falling and his ODM gear was caught in a branch making it impossible for him to fly off. He jumped the best he could but the wire pulled him back and his head met with the harsh ground with a bone shivering crack. 

She watched in terror as his head met the ground. Her tears falling at the thought of losing him forever and her anger rushed over her body and she killed the titan for harming her lover. She landed beside him begging him to be ok and he weakly smiled before placing something in her hand before blacking out. She rushed him to her horse before heading back to the walls not listening to her captains or even the commander as she rid faster then the others. She rushed him to the doctors, tear stained face and blood over her shirt as she passed him over. 

Hours flew by and she heard the news of him living. 

She smiled brighter then ever in her life shocking her friends who sat beside and she turned to the objected he placed in her hand where he fear he might die. She looked to one of the matching rings and pulled it close to her heart. She placed it in her pocket when the commander came walking down the call and placed a finger on her lips as she turned to Armin who looked at her stunned after seeing the ring. He was the only one who saw Levi as Mikasa carried him, he saw the matching ring already on Levi finger before mikasa rid off. 

But one she could finally go see him, her heart shattered. 

He was alive but he had no memory of her or them. 

There happy loving years all gone in seconds and the ring he wore was no longer on his finger. He just stared at it unsure before placing it in his pocket. She held back her tears and acted as they soldier she was just like the others did. She walked away when he shoo them away but gave a small pained glance to him before turning the corner.

She cried that night under the tree they always share sweet kiss's.

It was there special place and their hidden place on the base where they could love without fear of being seen. 

She looked to the moon that didnt seem as bright or as beautiful as it once did. 

Her teary eyes reflecting the shine before she turned to her hand looking at the ring, wondering if she ever feel his love again. 

But it seemed the world was just as cruel as she remember before meeting him.

A week past and he would be marrying another. 

News spread around camp like wildfire and no matter where she walked she would only hear the news again. 

Her heart was breaking and she felt like she was dying. 

Her love was forgotten and now it would be lost forever. 

She ran to the three hoping to escape from reality but all she got to see was her once lover kissing another under the tree making her heart finally break.

She didnt know she was crying until she notice him turning to her surprised and she quickly looked away before giving a small nod and walked away.

"Mikasa" He called making her freeze, hope filled her body once more and she turned to him but frowned as she saw his hand holding the other girl hand.

"sorry captain, i was just looking for somewhere to nap" she lied before walking away but soon ran wanting to get as far away as she could from the happy couple.

Another week past and his wedding was coming up.

She acted like the same old mikasa she always was but she was broken inside.

Armin noticed, he was too smart for his own good and he worked out everything when he should have celebrating Levi engagement. He pulled his taller friend into a hug and just let her cry it all out while telling him everything. She needed to tell someone the love she once had otherwise it would truly be forgotten forever.
