"Levi" Mikasa softly smiled as she climbed onto his bed crawling over to him.

"yes mikasa" Levi asked glancing at the small girl who laid beside him.

"thank you" Mikasa smiled warmly before rolling so her back for to the stunned captain. 

"i always be here to protect you mikasa .. always" Levi whispered back in a gentle voice before closing his eyes tensing as he felt small arms cuddle up to him but a soft smile soon fell on his lips.

"night" Mikasa whispered and closed her eyes as she rested her head on Levi shoulder.

"night" Levi whispered and wrapped his arm around her.

"Hanji dont upset mikasa" Armin frowned as his now younger friend was sitting onto of hanji self keeping away from the crazy titan lover.

"but this might be a once in a life opportunity" Hanji sulked back as she placed the knife back down.

"yeah but we only have one mikasa who doesn't have titan healing, are you trying to kill her" Jean yelled back at the captain. 

"Mikasa, climb down we need to bandage your arm" Eren weakly smiled as he looked to the little girl on the self.

"no" Mikasa mumbled back looking down at the soldiers who would be her friends.

"Mikasa, its safe .. nothing else will happen please trust me and let me wrap your arm its bleeding" Levi spoke in a clam tone and held his hand out to her making Mikasa turn to him before nodding and climbing down. Once she reached the counter she reached her uninjured arm out holding Levi hand before letting him pick her up gently and placing her on the desk.

"here" Eren grinned and passed the first aid box to Levi who nodded.

"your really brave mikasa, i would be crying my eyes out at such a cut" Armin smiled kindly with his hands behind his back and Mikasa just gave a silent nod.

"does it hurt" Levi asked as he looked to the deep cut in mikasa arm thanks to Hanji getting too excited.

"yeah" Mikasa muttered back and flitch as Levi started cleaning the cut.

"sorry" Levi mumbled and picked up the bandages.

"Hanji" Jean frowned and took a needle away from the captain who was trying to sneak past over to mikasa. 

"its ok to cry mikasa, if it hurts then cry out the pain .. i wont see you as weak but the opposite" Levi slightly smiled as he wrapped her arm. 

"r-really" Mikasa asked as tears started filling her eyes.

"cry it ok, its ok now you were truly breve" Levi whispered and pulled her into a hug while she cried.

"Levi, promise me not to leave me alone" Mikasa asked with a worried smile as the two sat on the roof.

"Mikasa why would you ask such a promise" Levi asked turning to the small girl.

"becuase I'm scared i be all alone one day" Mikasa replied kicking her legs of the side.

"trust me you wont be alone, you will one day have great friends who are like a family" Levi answered looking back to the sky.

"but i dont want to lose you Levi" Mikasa sighed shocking the older man.

"me" Levi asked.

"i like Levi and i dont want to lose Levi no matter what" Mikasa explained.

"then i shall promise to stay with you forever" Levi smiled softly and Mikasa smiled sweetly before hugging him.

"thank you Levi" Mikasa cheered. 

"mikasa" Levi frowned.

"i know, I'm not the mikasa everyone knows .. right" Mikasa replied shocking the captain.

"how did you" Levi asked and turned to her as she pulled away from the hug just looking to the woods ahead.

"everyone keep whispering about mikasa but not the me mikasa. I know I'm a different mikasa by how they all look to me. I must not be the mikasa they know very well but then again i guess its because i lived with daddy and mummy" Mikasa replied and looked to her lap.

"then you know something has happened" Levi sighed.

"i know my daddy not coming back to pick me up, i dont want to know what happened but i dont want to stay as a stranger to the real mikasa family" Mikasa smiled and turned to Levi.

"you are the real mikasa" Levi mumbled.

"no, I'm the mikasa she once was but everyone loves the real mikasa who made a stand for herself. I'm not the mikasa who fought for a place to belong. So I'm gonna let hanji try the test on me" Mikasa muttered and looked to the sky as Levi eyes sadden.

"if your sure but dont force yourself, i dont mind hanging out with you" Levi replied with a slight smile.

"thank you Levi" Mikasa smiled brightly and tensed as Levi pulled her into a tight hug. 

The next day....

"Mikasa" Armin cheered as their friend came walking into the training grounds back to her normal height and age. 

"d-did something happen" Mikasa asked unsure as her two childhood friends hugged her.

"um well yes but dont worry about that anymore" Eren grinned and Mikasa just nodded.

"its nice to have you back" Jean smiled and hugged Mikasa why he saw an opening. 

"good work hanji" Erwin smiled as he watched from the fence.

"dont thank me, i didnt do anything at all. It seemed she woke up back to normal" Hanji replied.

"what do you mean, mikasa told me she was going to your lab last night to be fixed" Levi frowned and turned to the titan lover.

"well she never arrived to my lab last night and well it seemed she woke up in her own room back to normal" Hanji sighed. 

"lets just be glad mikasa is back to her normal self and is no longer a child" Erwin smiled and Hanji nodded.

"herself" Levi muttered unsure and looked to the girl who stood emotionless as her friends talked. Eren about his normal destroying all titans, Armin just telling facts and Jean flirting but she stood looking at the woods.

"i be back" Levi mumbled as he walked towards the group making three of them jump and do a quick salute while mikasa slowly turned to Levi. 

"Levi" Mikasa whispered with clam eyes before freezing as she realised what name she used. 

"c-captain" Mikasa quickly saluted a little freak out over saying the captain name with ease. She had no idea why but it just slipped out. 

"at ease, how are you feeling mikasa" Levi asked crossing his arms while her friends just watched.

"I'm fine sir, please dont worry" Mikasa replied and glanced to the woods.

"he wont be returning nor are you in any danger apart from your idiot friends messing up or Hanji experiments" Levi sighed making Mikasa turn to him shock before giggling. The rest all turned in shock listening to mikasa giggle at Levi bad joke. 

"shouldn't you say the titans instead of Hanji, captain" Mikasa slightly smiled and Levi smirked.

"we both know, humans are more scary then any titan we ever meet" Levi replied and Mikasa smiled before nodding. 

"thank you captain" Mikasa smiled sweetly and Levi nodded.

"dont push yourself in training" Levi grinned and started walking away.

"no thank you for keeping your promise" Mikasa yelled back with a soft smile making the short captain freeze before smiling gently at her.

"always" Levi gently smiled before walking back over to commander Erwin and Hanji.
