Side Ships: Erwin x Hanji and Mike x Nanaba

It started with Hanji inviting both Mikasa and Nanaba to her office one late evening in winter. The two invited soldiers were unsure and tensed when they first arrived, just standing in the doorway as they looked to the crazy titan loving captain. 

Neither was sure why Hanji would privately call for them, in their free time and inviting just them. 

Both feared they were going to be dragged into another mad experiment that they would have to shut down fast or go straight to Captain Levi for back up. They would go to commander Erwin but Hanji knew how to escape the commander gaze long enough to hide up her experiment or to finish said experiment.

So, Captain Levi was the first to call to hold the mad women back why they ran for the commander. If Captain Hanji escaped Levi hunting her down than Captain Mike would be called up to sniff her out and they'll all drag her to Erwin office. 

So, here the two stood rather unease over being almost inside of the captain office. All the other soldiers already heading for bed and just leaving the night watch soldiers around. But no one was on watch by this building meaning they were both trapped with Hanji unless they got a head start in running. 

Nanaba reached for her whistle, it was made to sound like a certain bird and after the first time Hanji tried pulling her in to help experiment on Mikasa .. Captain Mike had given it to her. She had to blow on it and any captain or the commander would come running to help them escape the female captain in her mad ways. Nanaba has never stood without it, she even has one tucked under her pillow in her bunk just in case Hanji popped up in the middle of the night trying to kidnap her. 

Sometimes the female captain was more terrifying than any titan they've faced. 

For Mikasa, she was just staring at the captain who was mixing some bottles together in a jug, the captain back to them and Mikasa held a fist by her side ready to throw a punch within a moments notice. Send a punch and run, that was Mikasa game plan and Nanaba was glad to have an Ackerman on her side right now. 

But that jug ended up being an alcohol drink that Hanji promised was safe to drink and had no wired side effects apart from a normal hanger over in the morning. Apparently it was a drink that Hanji invited during her own training days, mixing such alcohol drinks together to make her beast of a drink that she's been praised for. But she's never told anyone what drinks she mixed and she's barely let anyone actually drink it unless it was a special occasion and the people were close to her. 

"We're on duty tomorrow" Mikasa and Nanaba spoke at the same time as Hanji started pouring the drink into three cups she placed on the small table by a couple of chairs. 

"So am I but we need some girl time and a little bit of relaxing. All three of us has been worked to the bone and we'll be stuck working even harder soon. Tonight, as your captain, I order you both to have a bit of fun with me. I'll take on Erwin speech tomorrow morning without any regret, so please just join me. It's not the same doing this with Mike or Erwin or even Moblit. I want some real girls night  ... please" came Hanji reply and she gave her best innocently begging puppy eyes towards Nanaba since she knew Mikasa won't fall for it. 

So, the three sat on the chair and two stools. Both grabbing a cup and since Hanji promised only one drink for the whole night they allowed to rest a little. They have been overworked and barely slept lately. It was nice to just take a moment to breath and having a girls night with girls who weren't the normal girly girls was also a nice change. They could just be themselves without being pulled into subjects they weren't keen over.

But Hanji didn't mention how one cup of her special drink would add up to drinking a whole barrel of win and a whole barrel of beer. It was stronger than anything Nanaba had ever tasted and her friend was on the lines of being an alcoholic. Mikasa had only known the basics of wine, beer and a small drop of whiskey that Captain Levi offered her once after a brutal expedition, neither feeling in the mood for their night cup of tea after the events.

So, blacking out was a good choice for all three of them.

And just hours later, they were awfully drunk and uncaring over being soldiers .. well, respectable soldiers.

Pulling their jackets off and undoing the top button of their shirts to help them breath a little. Kicking their boots of without care of knocking something over or breaking something. All three grateful they weren't wearing straps and just laid on the floor, long falling of the chair and stools.  

"Oh man, Hanji .. what the hell did you make us drink" Mikasa barely asked before a hiccup escaped her lips making the other two women drunkenly giggle.

"I'm not complaining" Nanaba commented before laughing away over how strange she sounded.

"This was the best idea ever" Hanji cheered, throwing her hands in the air from where she laid before having her hands come flying back down on her face. A pained groan leaving her lips before she just laughed away the pain like a mad man.

"I-I'm gonna sit ... why are there more of you" Mikasa huffed out stubbornly, swinging her legs in the air before pushing herself up as her legs came falling back down. Using the force and gravity to help up her upper half. A confused look on her face as she looked at the other women to find more of them than she remembered.

"You're one to talk .. where did you become triplets?" Nanaba shot back, reaching out at one of the Mikasa and having her hand fall straight through her. 

"Oh no ... I killed your sister" Nanaba cried out, Mikasa just snorting as she didn't have any sisters. Well, Armin and Eren may scream or cry like girls but they were guys .. Jean checked for her. 

"Oh no! MIKASA DOWN" Hanji cried out in panic, badly sitting herself up and wobbling a little before reaching out to all the Mikasa she saw before grabbing the real one and pulling her into a hug.

"I'm not dead" Mikasa argued back drunkenly.

"Yay .. I didn't kill the girl worth a hundred horses" Nanaba cheered, trying to sit up but struggling making Mikasa and Hanji give a helping hand. 

"Horses?" Mikasa asked unsure, she was sure that wasn't how the saying went.

"I don't like horses .. Erwin made me ride one but I wanted to ride a titan" Hanji sulked as she crossed her arms sulkily.

"That's not the only thing she want's to ride" Nanaba replied, holding her hand beside her ear forgetting how the whispering thing worked.

"Like you're one to talk .. we all know that you would live to sniff mike all over .. ah, that's not right ... you want mike to sniff himself over ... ACK! T-That's not right either .. you were be sniffer" Hanji accused back, pointing a finger towards the women before rubbing her hair as she tried to think of the right words.

"I'm thirsty" Mikasa muttered like an innocent child, staring at the empty cup thrown across the room.

"Can we drink from a toilet?" Hanji asked, staring at her office door and knowing the shared bathroom was just opposite. 

"Not enough water in a toilet for all four-five- as many as we are" Nanaba simply answered with a wise nod, swaying slightly.

"I could drink a whole lake ... Where's a river" Mikasa mumbled, pushing herself to stand just to fall over again and making the other two laugh. 

"There's no puddles around here .. it's been all rainy today" Hanji reminded, crawling towards Mikasa who was pushing herself to sit on her legs for now.

"Who stole our water!" Nanaba demanded angrily, throwing her hands in the air before falling backwards, laughing as her legs stayed in the air. 

"Ocean .. can we drink ocean water" Mikasa asked hopeful, pushing herself to stand once more and wobbling a little before gaining her balance as much as she could.

"Ocean ... is that more booze" Nanaba asked hopeful, rolling onto her stomach and staring at a pair of boots like they were talking to her.

"Big water thingy that's super salty .. a little gross, be like drinking piss" Hanji grumbled back, using the wall to her herself to stand.

"Who says it taste like piss, I want  to find out myself and I'm going to drink it if is piss or not. I'm not letting piss stop me .. I'm an Ackerman" Mikasa stubborn puffed out, her cheeks puffed like a squirrel with his cheeks full of nuts. 

"Yeah, let's show the ocean that we can drink whatever we want ... screw you ocean, we'll have you salty or pissy" Hanji agreed, going into a drunk war mode.

"Where's the ocean oh wise boots" Nanaba asked, bowing her head to the boots that she thought were her friends. 

"Outside the walls" Hanji and Mikasa cheered together, sharing a stubborn wall.

"Those stupid titans hogging all our ocean .. how dare they" Nanaba yelled back insulted over the titans selfish ways.

"That's it, I'm going to slay those titans and drink the ocean ... just try and get in my way you man eating bastards" Mikasa determinedly yelled out, wobbling towards the doorway.

"Yeah, let's take our walls back" Hanji screamed, throwing a fist in the air before making her way over to the wall.

"And we'll look great doing so because we're awesome" Nanaba huffed out with proud power, crawling towards the door. 

"When did we close the door" Mikasa finally asked as she walked into the open door, missing the doorway completely.

"Eeek, someone broke the wall" Hanji cried out in fear as she fell through the doorway when she ran out of wall to lean on. 

"Freedom!" Nanaba called out like a warrior as she pushed herself to stand after crawling half Hanji.

"We need gear ... fuck it, I'll use my shoe ... where's my boots"  Mikasa reminded before shrugging it off and going into her own drunken war mode and frowning when she noticed she didn't have boots on.

"Use mine" Hanji replied instead, standing up and pulling Mikasa out of her office.

"Where's your boots? Where did my boots go? Oh god, they've escaped from her feet .. they were alive. We've been stepping on people this whole time .. we're as bad as titans" Nanaba drunkenly asked before starting to cry as she thought she murdered her boots all this time. 

Soon Hanji was crying with her as she rushed over to her friend, placing an arm around her as they cried over murdering their boots. Mikasa trying her best to walk in a straight line behind them and getting ready to face any titan in her way.

"You know what's really unfair .. how flipping tall the titans are and they're allowed to walk around naked. I walk around it a sports bras and earned cat calls, titans go nude and they only get screams" Mikasa grumbled out as she stumbled through the unlocked door, tripping down the stairs.

"I'm alive" Mikasa called out as she pushed herself up from the ground, Hanji and Nanaba now falling down the stairs.

"Damn, titans have all the luck" Nanaba whined, sitting up with Hanji and letting Mikasa help pull them up the best she could in her drunken state.

"They don't even have to use steps .. lucky bastards" Hanji huffed out as they stumbled forward, ready to face on the walls and the titans.

"You seen that Bertholdt boy .. I swear he's a titan. It's inhuman to be that tall .. He just skips steps all the time. It's not fair on us little people" Nanaba mumbled out like Bertholdt himself was just a huge insult to her.

"And that Sasha kid, she eats and eats but never get fat. I almost starve when working and I still gain weight .. it's no fun" Hanji whined back, swaying her arms as she walked side ways for some reason. 

"Plus that shorty always giving cleaning duties to my brother, always yelling at him .. well, maybe sometimes I just want him to look at me as much too ... did he ever think of that but nooooooo. I don't train hard enough and he says I'm not doing my best but when I do great .. he still looks disappointed. Maybe some of us just wants to be us without any flipping wiredness ... you coward .. come love me!!!" Mikasa screamed out her frustration, stamping her feet a little and not noticing how muddy her socks were becoming.

"Guys suck" Nanaba sighed, Hanji and Mikasa nodding their heads in agreement. 

"They are huge idiotic monkeys" Hanji added her part of the rant, Nanaba nodding in agreement as Mikasa wondered towards one of the night watch soldiers, tackling him down drunkenly before stealing his boots and half running and half wobbling back to the two women she was with. 

"I got boots" Mikasa proudly spoke, lifting the two in the air as Hanji and Nanaba excitedly looking at her, staring like she was a queen bestowing gifts to them. 

"TITAN TIME!!" Hanji cheered, badly jumping on the spot before just falling face first into the ground.

"Yeah, let's drink that ocean up" Nanaba cheered, rushing forward only to trip over Hanji and falling over.

"Take that world, we have boots" Mikasa screamed out like she held the most powerful weapon to defend all her enemies.

Five Minutes Later...

"I don't even know what to say to this" Erwin sighed in defeat as he looked to the three women all laying on the ground around the edge of the camp, all three looking a complete mess.

"How did Nanaba get pulled into this, she never drinks?" Mike commented as he looked to his cadet who was completely passed out and snoring away why sucking on Hanji big toe.

"How did Mikasa get involve in this, she's the one brat I don't have to babysit .. or I thought so until now" Levi replied horrified, looking at the sobbing cadet to the side away from the other two men.

"I lost the boots" Mikasa sobbed as Levi just raised an eyebrow.

"You lost the boots" Levi repeated, slowly walked towards her.

"We'll never slay the titans now, we attacked the wall but it's not as close as we the three of them seemed" Hanji cried neck as Erwin kneeled beside her.

"I'll leave them to you two, Nanaba catches colds easily and I'm not risking her getting sick" Mike awkwardly muttered as he lifted the women up, throwing her over his shoulder before quickly walking away before he got asked to help with the other two drunks.

"You planned to slay the titans with boots?" Erwin asked unsure, placing a hand on Hanji shoulder as she sat up, twirling slightly.

"We're gonna drink the ocean and shove it in the titans faces but I lost the boots .. the walls didn't fall as we attacked it" Mikasa whimpered, rubbing her eyes as she sat in defeat, feeling like she failed humanity.

"I'm sure you would have defeated every titan with the boots but for now, we need you to rest" Levi calmly spoke, not sure how to handle a drunk Mikasa as she's been the only soldier he's never seen drunk before.

"B-But the boots ... my socks are dirty .. Levi's gonna yell at me" Mikasa weakly spoke, looking to the captain kneeled beside her before seeing the state of her socks and just sobbed.

"He's not going to yell at you ... not over the socks at least" Levi promised as he placed a comforting hand on her back, rubbing small circles to try and calm her crying down. 

"Don't tell Erwin because he might not be happy over us drinking" Hanji whispered as she leaned on Erwin who slowly helped her to stand.

"I don't think I'll need to tell him" Erwin simply answered.

"Oh good .... I don't want him to be angry with me .. his angry face isn't my favourite face" Hanji mumbled out drunkenly, Erwin just nodding as he turned around, letting Hanji hop on his back. 

"Let's get you to bed and maybe Erwin won't be as mad time morning comes" Erwin offered as he started walking, feeling Hanji drool on his shoulder.

"You smell like Erwin, I like that" Erwin commented in a slight daze, a goofy smile on her lips.

"I think we should get you to bed as well, can you stand if I help?" Levi asked as he took Mikasa arm, slowly helping her to stand.

"Don't tell my Levi .. Don't tell him. He'll be disappointed I got drunk ... I don't want him to hate me more ... I want him to like me" Mikasa whispered, a pout on her lips and a frightened and worried look in her eyes. 

Levi just took a deep breath, looking to the stars and begging them to give him strength and memory lost time he wakes up later in the morning. 

"I don't think he hates you" Levi simply said as he helped to keep Mikasa steady.

"Than he likes me?" Mikasa asked, tilting her head to the side like a confused puppy.

"Well, Like is a strange word and he is your captain. He can't be seen having favourites even if he prefers someone over the rest" Levi awkwardly explained, hoping the chilly wind would help sober the women up a little over.

"So he dose hate me" Mikasa asked in horror, tears filling her eyes once more as her lip temple.

"N-No .. he likes you .. he lives you very much" Levi quickly shot out, panic in his eyes as he really didn't want her to start crying.

"He likes me!!" Mikasa cheered, throwing her arms in the air against Levi grip before wobbling as she lost balance again. Levi quickly wrapping an arm around her waste, trying to steady her once again.

"Don't tell Levi but I like him ... I'm just too shy to admit it and I want to be spoiled by gaining all his attention. But don't tell him .. he'll just call me a-" Mikasa started to ramble, looking straight at Levi and not taking in who he was.

"Brat, yes you really are one sometimes" Levi finished for her, bending his knees a little before scooping one arm under her knees and lifting her up. 

"Hehe, I like this as much as I like Levi .. I think you'll like Levi too .. he's the best" Mikasa giggled, resting her head on Levi shoulder as he started walking towards the barracks. 

"I'm sure he likes you just as much but between you and him, I'm sure he'll think you're the better one" Levi muttered back, turning his head towards the girl who eyes shined over his words.

"Hehe" Mikasa just giggled, letting her eyes shut close and leaving her body to drift into the land of dreams. 

Levi just let a heavy sigh out as he finally heard her soft snoring and did not look forward to later that day. But he couldn't completely hate the fact over being woken up by panicked soldiers who saw the three women state and rushed to get him. 

He did get to see something oddly cute and he wouldn't mind hearing more about this Shy Mikasa who wanted his attention the most out of everyone. 

Extra..

Later That Day..

"Are you all right?" Armin asked with concern clear in his voice and eyes as he placed a hand on Mikasa back why she leaned against the wall.

"Urg, my insides are trying to slaughter me! What the hell did Hanji trick me into drinking and why did a random soldier asked me over his stolen boots. Why did I even steal his boots" Mikasa groaned, leaning her forehead on the cool wall as she tried to get rid of her sickly feeling from the hang over.

"Well, at least Captain Levi found your own boots but how did you return to the barracks without them last night?" Eren replied from where he leaned on the mop handle, stopping his mopping for a moment in case Mikasa really did throw up in the hallway. 

"Hanji ... that's all I can say" Mikasa sighed, her memory was mostly faded as she had glimpse of last night but that's all. 

"You're clearly still recovering from whatever Hanji made you drink last night, why don't you get a sick note for the rest of the day. Try to sleep, it might help" Armin offered with a sweet smile, his eyes kind but still held some worry for her.

"Oh god, did they drink from the toilet" Mikasa asked horrified as she remembered Hanji and Nanaba talked over it.

"A toilet?" Eren repeated in disgust. 

"I don't remember if they did or not ... Nanaba needs to know she may have drank from it before Hanji remembers first" Mikasa replied in horror, pushing herself from the wall and stumbling back a little.

"Mikasa, that can wait. You really should ask for a sick not and return to bed. You're clearly not well yet" Armin huffed back, puffing his cheeks out as he tried to seem demanding. He wasn't happy seeing Mikasa in this weakened and unsure state, it was unnerving for them all to see her like this.

"Armin, I think I tried fighting the wall with a boot ... and I think I lost" Mikasa whispered back with wide eyes, placing her hands on her friend shoulder.

"Damn, how come your drunk adventures sound more fun than mine. I normally end up picking a fight, falling over and throwing up before waking up being carried to bed by you. Can I drink whatever Hanji gave you?" Eren whined back, closing his eyes as he leaned his head backwards. 

"Trust me, you don't want to ever drink it ... I haven't stopped throwing up since I woke up" Nanaba groaned back, a half filled bucket of her own vomit huddled in her arms. She looked worse than the walking dead, the titans might actually leave her untouched thinking she was already dead.

"Maybe you should stay in bed" Eren weakly offered as he stepped back, not enjoying the smell of vomit.

"Mike has kept me bed written all day so far and checked on me between his duties. Now is my only chance and I must know ... Mikasa, did I drink out of the toilet or not?" Nanaba spoke completely serious and looked Mikasa dead in the eyes.

"I don't remember" Mikasa simply answered before leaping back, pulling Armin with her as Nanaba threw up in her bucket. 

"Why did you leave your bed, you're not recovered from Hanji drink. I told you that it's not a good idea to walk around or even move after taking a single sip of that stuff. You need rest" Mike frowned as he popped outside the window Mikasa was cleaning moments before, jumping throw the open window before making his way to Nanaba.

"I might have drank toilet water ... I remember them talking about the taste of piss" Nanaba sobbed, hugging her bucket more as Mike just placing his hands on her shoulders and started leading her away. 

"Has anyone seen Hanji today? If Nanaba been mostly bed written, than is Hanji in a bad shape as well?" Mikasa asked, clinging to Armin to help herself stand why Armin just took in the information Mike had given without knowing it.

"I heard she's sleeping on the commander sofa, he hasn't let her out of his sight since he's woken up. Apparently she's only thrown up a couple times and just been dizzy since, she can't even stand by herself and that's why the commander with her. He knew how bad she could be and couldn't trust other's to handle her in this state .. he's a real good friend" Eren answered as he over heard Captain Levi and Commander Erwin talking earlier when he went to pass in his report over his small disagreement (Fight) with Jean yesterday evening. 

"These symptoms sound really bad. Mikasa, I really think you should get a sick note for the rest of the day. Please, you need to rest your body and take it easy. It's not a good idea to push yourself, you can't even stand without leaning on something. You're clearly affected and how Captain Mike talked over Hanji make shift drink, It has bad effects on everyone afterwards" Armin worriedly spoke, acting like a concerned and frightened mother for their sick child.

"I'm not as bad as the others and I can stand just fin-shit" Mikasa started to argue back before cursing as she started stumbling backwards once she pushed herself of Armin. Of course, Mikasa new she was as bad as she felt but she didn't want to give. She survived the morning already and completely almost all her daily duties, more thankful to not having any training today. She knew she was being stubborn but she wanted to show she could still be useful even when sick and wiped out, she didn't want to give Levi another excuse to point out her weak points. She wanted to impress him even a little. 

But maybe she pushed herself a little much before she could barely move her body and keep it standing. 

She closed her eyes, ready to land on the cold hard floor that Eren just mopped. She'll feel bad for mucking it up once she feels a bit better .. for now, she'll just suffer against the aftereffects of whatever Hanji gave her to drink last night. 

But why the floor was a little firm it was also rather warm. It was also well packed and oddly sharpened than she remembered a floor being. She couldn't help but lift her arms behind her head that leaned on something a little lower than her, feeling something snake around her waste keeping her in place. Her hands feeling something soft, than reaching down to smooth skin and a nice jaw line she rather enjoyed feeling.

"Are you going to grope my jaw all day or actually get some rest" 

She froze, her hands falling straight down without a second though as she stayed as tense as her sore and unworking body could. In truth, the captain was the only reason she wasn't falling all over again. She couldn't stand alone anymore and she was sure he knew this.

"Just because you can't see me doesn't me I can see or feel you. Now open your damn eyes and put your arm around me, damn brat. Your still my responsibility meaning I can't have you passing out or dying until my shift is over on babysitting you. We're heading to your room, I already got your sick note after seeing how well four-eyes and hearing how bad Nanaba is" Levi stern, low but slightly gently voice snapped, his arms staying tight but careful around her waste not daring to let her go until he knew she could at least stand on her own. 

"Sir, where did I lose the soldier boots ... I don't remember much of last night and I fear remembering it at all" Mikasa asked in a small voice, opening her eyes and glancing to her captain.

"I already replaced the poor solder boots that you attacked last night, I can't believe you stole a man boots like that. You were drunk and should have been flat out passed out but you tackle the poor guy. Trust me, it's best if you stay unknowing over last night events. For your dignity and mine" Levi sighed, moving his body a little and keeping one arm around Mikasa waste why she moved one of her arms over his shoulder.

"I give in ... I feel like shit. Laugh as much as you wish why I suffer in my death" Mikasa frowned, lowing her head in defeat as she started walking with Levi help.

"You really are a stubbornly strong brat" Levi whispered under his breath, glancing away as Mikasa snapped her head towards him in shock before a slight sparkle filled her eyes.

"Think she might try and kill the captain when she's at full health to hide her embarrassment over him seeing her sick?" Eren asked as he hugged his mop handle, watching the captain and his sister wobble away towards the doors.

"She'll try and kill him but than remember she needs him and just try to wipe his memory instead. Let's pretend we didn't see or hear anything today, she can kill us after all" Armin sighed, running a hand through her hair as Eren froze.

"Oh crap, she can!" Eren yelled out in horror why Armin just nodded.
