"Grab him before he escapes" Hanji yelled at in panic as a nine year old Levi ran around her lab wearing only his survey corps white shirt and nothing else. 

"How the hell did he get a knife" Armin cried out as he noticed the kitchen knife in the nine year old right hand who was still running around the lab trying to escape.

Soon the nine year old Levi was held in the air, his body making a T shape .. his Arms making the cross while his legs dangled in the air. His raven eyes glaring at Mikasa who stood holding him under his armpits with ease before she glanced to the others.

"Oh god, the captain gonna kill us child or adult form" Eren mumbled in fear as he looked to Captain Levi.

"Captain Hanji, when you called for us over an emergency you didn't say that we would have to face a nine year old Captain Levi ... how did this even happen" Jean huffed out as he glared at the female captain.

"Well you see, I was messing around in my lab when Levi was ordered to bring me over to a meeting and well I mixed some stuff together then splashed it all over the shorter captain in hopes to knock him out and it did but then he turned into a nine year old" Hanji nervously smiled as she rubbed the back of her neck. 

"How did he get the knife" Armin asked with worry as he glanced back to Levi who still held the kitchen knife.

"Well, I locked him in my lab as I went to the meeting and then returned and well he had a knife trying to break down the door .. that when I knew I needed back up and called you four over" Hanji answered and the other males just looked to her.  

"Can we at least get the knife away from him .. I would feel much safer" Eren begged slightly and Mikasa soon shook Levi in the air until he dropped the knife, she stepped back to miss the knife landing in her foot and stayed holding Levi still in the air. 

"Tsk" Levi hissed as he glared to the female who held him.

"I'll behave if you behave and I'll respect if you respect me .. Deal" Mikasa muttered as she looked to Levi who just stared at her before giving a slight nod and Mikasa soon placed him down before kneeling down.

"We gotta stick together until we fix this, Can I trust you to cover me while I cover you" Mikasa asked as she held out her pinkie keeping her voice calm and soft while her face stayed emotionless.

"Deal" Levi whispered and wrapped his small pinkie around mikasa giving it a slight squeeze and mikasa nodded.

"Captain Hanji can you fix this" Eren asked uneasy as he kept his distance from the nine year old.

"I'm sure I can, I'll work on a cure but someone will need to keep an eye on Levi  .. It seems he has no memory of his adult life" Hanji frowned as she looked to the others.

"Before we even think about leaving this room we better find him some clothes" Armin mumbled as he looked to Levi baggy shirt that was the only covering him.

"How the hell are we gonna do that the camp won't have any children clothes and we need permission to leave for the city. Its not like we can just leave and grab him some plus if someone outside camp see's him, it might cause panic" Jean huffed back.

"We'll just make some, Armin do you remember when we use to stich up Eren ripped clothes before joining up .. its the same thing and I can draw out plans for you" Mikasa spoke up as she looked to her blonde friend who nodded.

"You can do women work .. wow your the whole package" Jean mumbled impressed and Mikasa glared at him.

"Just find some old clothes that would be burned soon, we can use them instead of ruining new uniforms" Mikasa ordered.

"Leave that to us .. just be drawing up those clothes plans and making sure captain doesn't escape" Eren replied and dragged Jean away. 

"I'm gonna need some of Levi blood, only a little to help make a cure and see if its concerts to his blood" Hanji spoke up as she held the needle in her hands ready and Levi quickly grabbed the knife.

"Levi no .. You can't just stab Hanji trust me, You say so it yourself" Mikasa sighed placing her hand over Levi small ones stopping him from using the knife. 

Thirty minutes later and everyone turned as Jean and Eren came running in with old clothes slamming them over a desk full of paperwork that Hanji will never touch but Moblit will and just get her to sign certain areas. It seemed Eren and Jean had a race on who can return faster while Armin just got the sewing kit out that was hidden in Hanji cabinet .. for reason he never want to know by the evil gingerly look on her face when he found it. 

"Well here are Levi managements, as long as we follow these then the clothes wouldnt be too big nor too small for him" Mikasa muttered and pulled out a pair of scissors that Levi found when he wanted to stab Hanji. Since as she started to get a little grabby wanting to run full experiments on the nine year old. Mikasa took away his kitchen knife, keeping it tucked on her belt making him find a new weapon as Mikasa talked with Armin over making the clothes.  

"Hey mikasa, think you'll ever teach me the way you sew .. I mean I can do the basics that you showed me but your style is so pretty" Armin asked with a bright smile.

"Thanks, My mother taught me when I was a child .. It was something passed down to all children in her bloodline son or daughter learned it" Mikasa replied in a soft voice, a semi smile on her lips that was only seen if you really looked.

Armin just smiled, Mikasa didn't talk much of her family not since she joined Eren family and when Clara died, she clearly cut of her true family not wanting to upset anyone else with the past. 

"Hum" Levi asked shyly as she pulled on Mikasa leg while she stood sewing Levi child size trousers leaving Armin to do the top.

"I don't sing much" Mikasa mumbled as she glanced to Levi seeing him embarrassed slightly.

"Please sing, mom always sang" Levi begged slightly lowing his head shyly.

His head soon shot up as Mikasa started to hum an old tune her father use to sign when he took her into the woods to help with hunting. She wasnt singing but humming and that seemed just fine with Levi who stood beside her holding the scissors carefully and passing them to her or Armin when they needed them. 

Hours passed and Jean along with Eren brought back lunch for everyone since they missed breakfast even Levi and Hanji. It was only midday and Hanji didn't seem having much luck with the cure but maybe a small break would help. 

The others were impressed with Levi new handmade outfit, small white shorts that ended at his knees and fit him without being too tight or too big, they were made from old trousers but cut and resew into a new shape. A black polo top with short sleeves made from a training top. White socks made from an old scarf and black boxes made from a fresh clean pair of boxes from the storage room since even they won't make Levi use a used pair. The outfit fit him perfectly and Mikasa even made a mini cravat made by an old shirt. 

"You need to eat your ... whatever they made today" Jean sighed as he noticed Levi not touch his food that clearly looked like mud with yellow chunks.

"If you don't eat then you won't grow big and strong" Armin smiled sweetly, Hanji and Eren snickering.

"Like he grow much" Hanji joked and Levi jumped down from the stool he sat on to reach the table while the others stood while eating. 

"Wait Levi .. shit he running again" Eren hissed as Levi ran under the table heading for the door but stopped as someone picked him up under his arms making him do the T shape all over again.

"No" Levi snapped back as he looked to Mikasa who just looked at him before taking a small breath. 

"You need to eat" Mikasa muttered as she started walking back to the table.

"Don't wanna" Levi huffed back crossing his arms making Mikasa carry him by his waste more. 

"If you keep misbehaving then you'll be punished" Hanji warned like an old lady and Levi just glared towards the women in glasses.

"Keep being a brat and Mikasa will kiss you" Eren warned with a smug grin making Mikasa and Levi tense slightly, Mikasa losing her grip slightly almost dropping Levi but quickly found her grip again holding him higher in the air. 

"How is that a punishment, I would beg for Mikasa to kiss me" Jean asked as he slapped Eren arm.

"No Eren might be right for once, I mean Levi only nine meaning he won't like being kissed and would see them as icky ... he might just do anything to not be kissed by a girl" Armin answered.

"I will kiss you" Mikasa warned as she looked Levi in the eye before placing him back down on the stool and the nine year soon started eating. 

Once everyone finished eating the four soldiers decided it was best to leave Hanji to work alone without any distractions. Armin unwillingly stayed behind since he was the smartest and would know how to help Hanji or grab the tools she needed making him her new slave for the day.

Jean and Eren wasnt doing well with keeping an eye on Levi and Mikasa just sent them away before slipping on some self made slip on shoes for Levi on his feet and leading him to the training woods to keep him busy.

The two walked, Levi seeming less joyful over being in the woods while Mikasa kept a content silence enjoying the walk, it reminded her of her own childhood and playing with her father. She glanced down to Levi who was watching where he stepped and a slight smirk filled her lips.

Levi jumped as a stick was thrown at him and he quickly caught it before it touched his clothes not wanting to dirty the only pair he had. Frowning at the dirt on his hands before he looking to Mikasa.

"On Guard" Mikasa grinned slightly as she held another stick, standing in a fake fighting stance as she held the stick towards Levi.

"On Guard" Levi smirked lifting the stick and a mini war started. 

Neither hitting too hard but just enough to make the sticks clash echo a little in the woods. Both taking care not to hurt the other and soon their laughs filled the area as they played. Mikasa felt rather proud to make the great grumpy Levi laugh but then again she was laughing herself. 

Soon their stick war turning into an adventure, both of them being super hero's needed to protect the lost Prince Leaf .. who really was just a random leaf that Levi picked up. Both of them fighting, ninjas, trolls and all types of enemies while traveling around all types of lands. Pretending to take awful hits and fake dying before strange power saved them. 

Levi was loving it, his nine year old smiling bright as he acted as anyone and anything his imagination could think up and Mikasa stood beside him being his needed partner in the game. 

A couple hours passed and Levi stomach rumbled making him quickly hide behind a tree embarrassed and Mikasa just smiled before holding her hand out.

"I saw some wild blackberries in woods, why dont we pick some and make a crumbles for Armin since he loves blackberries. We can just make ourselves the crumbles part without the fruit since I don't know about you but I don't like berries unless its strawberries" Mikasa spoke up as she kept her hand out towards him and he soon ran over taking it. 

"I like the pastry more then the berry part but Mom always seemed happy when she made a beery one" Levi mumbled as he walked with Mikasa towards the berry bush.

"My mother was the same, me and father only liked strawberries out of the berry family .. I wonder if they count as a berry. But anyway my mother always seemed proud when she made a blackberry crumble with the berries me and she picked from our bush. It got me and father to learn how to eat food we don't like while pretending we loved it, it was worth the bad taste just to see her smile" Mikasa smiled slightly and Levi glanced to her before turning to look ahead.

"Why did you play with me in the woods" Levi asked nervous.

"Because secretly I love the woods, some might find them creepy or scary but I find them peaceful. You see, my father use to bring me to the woods and play with me for hours. Sometimes we would hunt but most of the time we just messed around for hours until my mother called for us. In the woods you can be anyone and everyone you set your mind with .. you can make the woods into any home you wish for" Mikasa replied with a soft smile and Levi smiled slightly as he lowered his head. 

Soon the two reached the old kitchen and started cooking, stealing a couple supplies and making two Crumbles one with the fresh juicy blackberries they picked out and one without them for just her and Levi.  Both proud of the crumbles they made before Levi forced them to clean everything up until he was happy with the shine in them. 

Mikasa couldn't help but roll her eyes over how much of a clean freak a child Levi was and just tried to not kill him when he ordered they must shower to get rid of the flour. 

Ten minutes later both was washed and clean as they walked the halls in soaked clothes but Mikasa gained her revenge as she scooped Levi up placing him on her shoulders. At first Levi demanded to be put down but the he looked at the sight from her shoulders a smile filled his lips. His laugh echoed the hall as Mikasa bounced him a little or ran round corners. Both acting innocently as they walked past soldiers like nothing strange was going on before laughing. 

As the sun started to set, Mikasa knew it was time for dinner and placed Levi back on the ground knowing he would lose the joy on being on her shoulders if the others saw since they would make fun of him,

"Mikasa" Levi muttered and grabbed her hand before she started walking and she soon kneel down before him.

"Something wrong Levi" Mikasa asked with concern and Levi lowered is head slyly.

"Thank you" Levi smiled gently and looked at her before freezing as he noticed the warm smile on her lips as her eyes soften.

"Your welcome" Mikasa whispered and pulled him into a hug, shocked as he soon hugged back and buried his head into her shoulder a little.

"Will we be able to play again soon" Levi asked into her shoulder, smiling as she giggled.

"Anytime" Mikasa promised before breaking the hug and standing up, letting him hold her hand as they started to walk to the hall. 

Soon the two was sitting at the end of table where Eren, Armin, Jean and Mikasa normally sat with their other friends. They sat in the hall a little earlier then normally knowing not many soldiers would be around and it be better if less people saw Levi. 

"You need to eat" Eren sighed as she looked to Levi who poked the soup that wobble, he may have been nine but he knew Soup wasnt meat to be like jelly. 

"No" Levi sulked as he pushed his bowl slightly away from where he sat beside Mikasa.

"I will Kiss you" Mikasa warned with a raised eyebrow and Levi quickly grabbed his spoon before eating his soup.

Levi frowned slightly, he started eating from Mikasa kiss threat, he felt strange. He was scared, not from being kissed by Mikasa who was a girl but becuase he liked the idea of having her kiss him. He noticed how beautiful she was, how her laugh made the world seem brighter and the rare smiles he been given by her was magic. He wanted to see more of this mikasa that she only showed him when others weren't around and he wanted to play in the woods with her everyday but girls were meant to be yucky or so he thought. His mother did tell him about a strange thing called love but he never wanted it .. he only needed his mother love and nothing more .. but now he was doubting himself. 

Levi glanced to Mikasa who silently ate her soup, she gave a slight wink and grossed face when the other three males weren't looking and Levi laughed. He was glad he wasnt the only one not enjoying the meal and wondered if Mikasa will ever show a true face when eating when she no longer needed to protect others smiles over their cooking. 

"I feel bad making Mikasa use Kiss threats, I mean what if it makes Mikasa doubt herself over being kiss worthy when she finds someone she likes" Armin spoke up with a small frown and concern in his eyes making the others guys look towards Mikasa who shook her head.

"I mean I'll be happy to kiss mikasa, would you like a kiss to cheer up" Jean asked with a shy smile and a blush covering his cheeks and Mikasa rolled her eyes.

"I'm not going to cry just because a nine year old wouldnt want a kiss" Mikasa sighed and went back to eating. 

"Plus Jean can't have a kiss .. he ate his food" Levi mumbled making Eren and Armin laugh at Levi cockblocking him over a kiss. 

"Well the good news is that Hanji thinks once Levi wakes up in the morning he'll be back to normal" Armin smiled sweetly.

"That good to hear, I don't know what we would do if we had to hide him for a second day" Eren sighed in relief.

"Yeah, we already lied to commander Erwin three times today saying we saw Levi just minutes ago while he was looking for the captain" Jean frowned and Armin gave them pity smiles.

"But I'm right here" Levi asked confused and the others gave frowns as they noticed Levi still doesn't remember his adult life and is just a nine year old boy.

"Well we need another Levi in our life, you see some rather scary beings are trying to take away our freedom and we need a certain me can trust and put our faith in to help us to fight. He very strong and wise, he cares a lot for soldiers even if he hides it behind a mask. To save your own future, we need him more then anyone else. We gonna miss you but we'll make sure to play again another day" Mikasa spoke in a soft calm tone as she pushed of Levi hair behind his ear, stroking his cheek slightly trying not to scare or upset the boy. 

"We'll really meet again" Levi asked with slight hope.

"I'll make sure we do, even if I have to fight all the dragons in the woods to reach you" Mikasa promised and Levi smiled brightly before hugging her and Mikasa just stroked his hair with a small frown. 

"Why don't you take him to bed" Jean mumbled as he looked away from Levi knowing the nine year old boy would be no more come morning. 

"We'll clean up the plates" Eren sighed and Mikasa gave a small nod.

"What about our desert, we were gonna give it to him and eat our own" Levi asked with a frown and Mikasa looked to the small boy.

"Armin, mind coming with us to the old kitchen" Mikasa asked.

"Sure, lead the way" Armin smiled sweetly and the three soon stood up, Levi holding Mikasa and Armin hands as he walked between the two ad lead the way. 

Mikasa stood in the doorway watching Armin tear up as Levi passed him the blueberry crumble they made and watched as Armin pulled the nine year old boy into a side hug letting his tears just fall. Mikasa lowered her eyes, she knew Armin tears were half full of joy and the other half of sadness knowing this will be the last time he sees a nine year of Levi who seemed so pleased over giving the gift.

"Mikasa .. wanna eat it in my bed, I won't tell my mom if you don't" Levi grinned cheekily as he held the other crumble pot in his hands, two spoons laying on top.

"Sure, Let me grab us some water to wash it down" Mikasa smiled and walked further in grabbing two cups of water and filming them but soon placing them down. She placed Armin crumble on the side and pulled him into a tight hug as he broke down crying while Levi stood confused in the doorway.

"Goodnight Armin" Mikasa whispered acting like it was a goodnight hug not a comfort hug before she broke away grabbing the cups again and walked over to Levi.

"Sleep well Armin" Levi smiled as he and Mikasa started walking.

"Goodnight" Armin weakly smiled before grabbing his crumble pot. 

Soon Levi and Mikasa was sneaking into the captain bedroom, Mikasa locking the door behind her to stop anyone else walking in thinking Levi was inside and seeing the nine year old instead. The two cups of water on his bed side table and Levi placed the crumble pot on his bed before climbing on his bed and tapping a spot beside him for mikasa. 

"Hey Mikasa, why did Armin get so emotional" Levi asked before taking a spoonful and taking a bite.

"He was overjoyed at your gift, last time he ate something like that was before his grandpa died .. I made one for us before his grandpa was sent to try and retake the walls. Guess I stopped ever making a family treat after that .. it just got lonely" Mikasa mumbled and took a bite of her spoonful.

"Then we'll just make more from now on, we have a bigger family now" Levi muttered and mikasa glanced to him before nodding. 

"Why don't we eat the other half tomorrow, You don't want to get sick" Mikasa spoke up as she noticed they already ate half and knew Levi might kill her if he threw up in the morning.

"Ok, promise to eat the rest with me" Levi asked with hopeful eyes as Mikasa placed the pot on the bedside table. 

"You know, you have nothing to fear for your future becuase your going to turn out just perfect. You'll become a great man who many will respect and you'll gain friends who love you no matter what, they become your new family if you like it or not. So, just stay strong becuase I promise it will be worth the fight .. just know you'll never be alone again" Mikasa smiled sweetly as she placed a hand on Levi cheek, using her thumb to get rid of some crumbs.

"Mikasa" Levi asked confused as he looked to her seeing her eyes sadden a little.

"Time for bed" Mikasa muttered and pulled the cover back letting Levi kick his shoes off before jumping in.

"Night Mikasa" Levi smiled gently as she took his cravat off and folded it before placing it on the pillow beside him.

"Night" Mikasa smiled softly and went to stand up but stopped as Levi small hand grabbed her. 

"I didn't eat all my crumble .. I need to be punished" Levi muttered embarrassed as his cheeks redden. 

"You ate half of it, I was the one to make you stop no need to be kissed" Mikasa answered and Levi pouted.

"I didn't eat breakfast" Levi  hugged crossing his small arms.

"Non of us did" Mikasa replied and Levi sat up before pushing himself to stand.

"I want a kiss" Levi whispered yelled.

"Nope" Mikasa answered popping the P as Lavi sulked slightly.

"Why not" Levi asked annoyed.

"I don't kiss children but I'll a deal, when you grow up and still want a kiss then you may have one" Mikasa smirked as she held up her pinkie.

"Deal" Levi grinned and wrapped his pinkie around Mikasa before jumping up and stealing a kiss on her lips before laying back down.

"I really hope you don't remember this in the morning" Mikasa whispered with worry before tucking Levi in and leaving the room taking one of the cups and spoons leaving the other cup for him when he wakes. 

Two days Later ....

"Sir, you need to eat" Mikasa sighed as she walked into Levi office coming to collect his tray of food that Erwin ordered Armin to take to him at lunch and three hours later its been untouched still while he did paperwork.

"I'm busy, I'll eat later" Levi grumbled back as he signed something.

"No sir, you need to eat or" Mikasa huffed out annoyed, she knew Levi would only get more cranky tomorrow if he skipped all three meals and no one would enjoy his training in the morning. 

"Or you'll kiss me" Levi answered making her freeze. 

"W-What did you just say" Mikasa asked shocked.

"Oh nothing" Levi muttered as he read over something.

"D-Do you remember that day .. Hanji said you wouldnt" Mikasa asked with worry.

"Remember what, the threat of you kissing me if I didn't eat .. yes that would really horrifying" Levi sighed and Mikasa glared at him.

"Then don't make me threaten you with a kiss and eat your bloody food" Mikasa snapped back and crossed her arms.

"I am your captain" Levi warned as he glared back.

"Oh really becuase a child more behaved" Mikasa argued back making Levi frown. 

"Well at least I didn't kiss a nine year old" Levi grumbled back.

"You kissed me" Mikasa whispered yelled and Levi froze.

"I was insane and its your fault for flopping me all around that day" Levi muttered and Mikasa rolled her eyes.

"Just eat your food, I'm willing to shove it down your throat" Mikasa grumbled and Levi rolled his eyes.

"Try it" Levi smirked and Mikasa took a deep breath trying to keep her cool.

"Just eat or else" Mikasa warned as she glared daggers at her captain.

"Like I'm scared of you, better luck with the next person" Levi joked and sat back down.

"I warned you" Mikasa sighed and walked over to his tray grabbing the bowl off  rather runny soup before walking towards Levi grabbing his cheeks with one hand earning his lips to pop out like a fish.

Levi tensed as Mikasa soon joined their lips after she took a mouthful of the soul, removing her hand from Levi cheeks and slipping her tongue into his mouth before letting the soup run into his own mouth, dancing her tongue around a little until he felt weak under her making her pull back. 

A smug look on her face as Levi sat stunned swallowing without thinking before looking to Mikasa who just looked to him.

"Eat or I'll make you eat" Mikasa smirked before walking away and leaving the room before Levi could say another back.

"Now that is just cheating making my nine year old self fall in love with you but also making me fall for you" Levi whispered as he glanced down to the cravat she made him he kept on the edge of his chair.
