Severus Snape: Muggle-Hater or Obsessed Muggle-Lover?

SEVERUS SNAPE: MUGGLE-HATER OR OBSESSED MUGGLE-LOVER?

Severus Snape, who originally wanted to be an Octopus Animagus when he grows up, is a professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The subjects that he teaches, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions, according to him, require one to be "ambitious". Yes, this is coming from a man whose life-long ambition is to become an octopus.

Indeed, this man has had many grave injustices inflicted by others onto himself and many grave injustices inflicted by himself onto others.

Sitting in his cold, desolate, depressing Potions classroom, which could be an accurate representation of the owner himself, he has decided to open up to me about his life.

First off, we discuss what we, as a united Wizarding community, have so little information about: his unrequited relationship with Lily Evans.

"Lily was my first friend who entered my miserable life," lamented Severus Snape, his face practically dripping with nostalgia (or was it grease from his hair?) at the memory.

But did Miss Evans make Severus Snape's life less miserable or is she in fact, the reason why it's miserable?
For all of you wizards and witches who have been hiding underneath a rock for the past few decades, I remind you that Lily Evans ended up marrying James Potter. "No further words are required to describe this poor excuse of a human being," said Snape bitterly when asked about the lover of his indifferent lover.

"She gave me hope. Showed me that I was not alone and that somebody cared," said a very depressed Snape about his crush as a young teenaged boy. Obviously, this former flame has affected his life up to this day.

But does the Head of the Slytherin House really like Lily Evans, a Muggle, or was it just an obsession with the only person that ever cared about him?

Professor Snape, 107, his black beady eyes flickering with hatred, claims that Muggles and Muggle-borns are nothing but rats beneath our feet.

When I asked him whether what he said stands true to his feelings for Lily Evans, he refused to comment.

Perhaps it does stand true. From a very reliable source, I had found out that his relationship with her ended when he called her a M*dblood.

Professor Snape refuses to continue on with the interview, and tells me, Rita Skeeter (top-rated witch journalist for the Wizarding world), to "mind my own business".

Severus Snape does not trust to rely information to me about the love of his miserable life, despite that he is the one poking his greasy nose into people's love affairs.
*cough* James and Lily*cough*

After all this time, he refuses to open up about what he feels about Lily Evans. But one thing is for sure. She will always have a special place in his cold, withering heart.
