Remus John Lupin, 65, has a howlingly (lol wolf pun) big secret. Unknown to the innocent little students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he is, in fact, a werewolf. He has suffered from lycanthropy ever since the young, unfortunate age of 5. He has agreed to do an interview with me, Rita Skeeter, the #1 top-rated witch journalist in Europe.

While I personally agree that even half-breeds should love, is it worth it to endanger the lives of the people he's loved?

His wife, Nymphadora Tonks-Lupin and son, Teddy Lupin, are particularly in the most danger with the highest risk of getting bitten.

When I asked him how his family reacted to his "furry little problem", he said,
"Dora told me she didn't care about the nature of my condition. She loved me for who I as. She didn't care that society outcasts people like myself. She loved me regardless of who I was or what others saw me as. Teddy finds it quite funny."

Perhaps they are not informed of all the possible fatal dangers of living with a werewolf. Perhaps they are not aware that a murderer is living in their very home.
Yes, I think that young Teddy won't find it "quite funny" after he's found out the exact number of werewolf attacks in the Wizarding World and Muggle World alike in the past ten years.

But does he really support it?

When I asked him that if he, hypothetically, was given a chance to change all of this- to stop himself from ever being bitten and turning into a werewolf-, would he take it?

"Oh yes definitely, for the sake of my wife and son," says Remus Lupin quickly, hiding his face so the notable scars that symbolize what he is are not in my view of vision.

If he had stated that he would change from a werewolf to a normal man with a normal family and a normal life in a blink of an eye, would he even care about the rights of werewolves?
How can he, when he is not even proud of who he is?

During his Hogwarts days as a young lyncathropic teenager, he had three friends- James Potter (father of the famous Harry Potter), Sirius Black (a supposed mass-murderer with a life-sentence in Azkaban), and Peter Pettigrew (who is a known loyal supporter of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named).

These three friends, according to a very reliable source, became unregistered illegal Animagi, for the sake of Remus Lupin.

Did they go through all that trouble just to be friendly, or is there more to that story?
Perhaps they were scared of what their friend might do to them if they did not accompany him during the night of a full moon.
Perhaps Remus Lupin felt the great need of being accepted, that he, as a reckless, generally friendless, and desperate boy, forced the three others of the Marauders quartet to partake in unregistered Animagus activities.
Perhaps he is the reason that the Marauders mistreated Severus Snape- because Snape had speculations on what he truly was.
We will never know the truth, for the truth remains lost in the past.

Back to present day, Remus Lupin is a professor at Hogwarts. He has the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts (although I am unsure why he is teaching his students to defend themselves from him).

What has Hogwarts got to say about having a werewolf in the great castle of Hogwarts?

"I do not understand why the headmaster has given his consent to allow a werewolf to teach these young minds. I thought that Hogwarts was the safest place for my Draco to get an education, but I am afraid that I have been proven wrong," says Lucius Malfoy, a concerned parent.

"I-I'm afraid to t-t-talk in his class. I f-feel as though he could attack m-me when he's checking if I did his idiot h-homework," sobbed Pansy Parkinson, a student at Hogwarts who originally wished to be quoted as Anonymous, for fear of what her professor will do when he finds out what she's said.

Currently, Remus Lupin is taking wolfsbane to control his transformations.
But that does not hide the monster that will undeniably destroy his thoughts, actions, and sooner than not, everyone who he's ever loved.
