Enjoy!^.^

I've had enough.

All this yammering about something that wasn't their problem, what the hell was the point? I glance about the mess hall and noticed her own squad mates were starting the whole thing. I click my tongue in displeasure, such disrespect.

"Phe, gotta hand it to those Cadets," Oluo smirks. "They got guts."

I turn my attention to him noticing how his arrogant ass leaned back against the chair while he stared at Emma's squad in amusement. Somehow, that ticked me off even more.

"Guts for what?" I question. "For being a bunch assholes? Tch, maybe you should get a gold medal for that."

Oluo's smirk drops as a frown sweeps over his lips instead. He stares at me in question but doesn't speak. The rest of my squad members then stare at me as though I grew another head. I glare back clearly not in the mood for this shit.

"Is there something wrong, Captain?" Petra scoots closer to me, I do my best not to show how repulsed I was by the close proximity.

She stares at me with concern filling her big eyes. Her hand twitches on the table, it was like she wanted to touch me. I click my tongue at her stupidity.

"Don't encourage those Cadets," I seethe. "It'll only make things worse."

"For who? Emma?" Oluo scoffs. "She had it coming after the shit she put us through. I say she deserves it."

Eld doesn't respond to this and awkwardly takes a sip from his cup. By the look in his eyes I knew he agreed. Petra nods beside me but doesn't vocalize her thoughts.

I look away and look at Emma. She was little ways away from me, putting three tables between us. Seeing her sitting alone troubled me.

Not only were people talking behind her back but were also ignoring her. However, seeing that dumb Cadet stroll his way to her calmed me somewhat. At least one person talked to her even though I despised him.

I watched them flirt, Emma practically throwing herself on him. Despite the sight making my blood boil I do everything in my power to keep myself seated. Seeing that was better than seeing her alone.

"Y'know, I'd say Commander Erwin should discharge her. I mean, what has she done for the Survey Corps?"

I poke my inner cheek with my tongue. Oluo's usual arrogance and dumbass attitude rarely bothered me. Yet, as of right now I wanted to shove his goddamn face on to the table.

I glare threateningly at him but he doesn't take notice. Petra does, however, and continued to stare at me like a wounded puppy. Despite how much I hated the sight, I didn't show it.

I only scoffed and cross my arms. It was until I heard a loud commotion of someone slamming something atop the table. Looking up, I take notice to everyone's hushed voices as they stared at a young Cadet.

Edward stood abruptly, his eyes grazing over everyone. He was infuriated, the way his eyes gleamed red I could tell how pissed off he was. I watch him then roughly grab Emma's wrist and drag her outside.

Something uncoiled inside me, like some sort of sour flavor greeting my mouth. However, I push the feeling away when I look upon Emma's squad. For a moment, they were silent but now they started to murmur.

I only caught bits and pieces but I knew what it was about. And I was tired of hearing the same damn shit. The chair screeches behind me as I take a stand.

My squad mates turn to me in question but, I don't look back. Instead, I release a halfhearted snigger, one that meant I was beyond disappointed.

"For a bunch of respected Scouts, you three really are scum. You all know better than I do that Emma works her ass off for us. And you got the goddamn nerves to disrespect her." I throw them all an icy stare, they all flinch at the sight.

Eld and Oluo look to the side with their eyes coated in shame. But Petra doesn't look away. Instead she gazes up at me with a frown and crinkled brows.

I wasn't sure what she was thinking but didn't care. I turn my back on them and head for Emma's squad's table. They all didn't seem to notice my prowl towards them and continue to murmur.

I click my tongue in despise. What a bunch of inconsiderate human beings. When I was close I slam my hands loudly atop the table.

Most jumped, while the others stiffen in surprise. As if they faced a Titan, they slowly turn their heads to me, terrified by the demeanor radiating off of me. I relished the sight.

"Heard you guys are making a fuss over a certain lieutenant," I muse darkly. I scan my cold eyes on each of them. "Care to enlighten me?"

For a moment no one spoke a word. Hell, they all seemed too scared to even breathe. I hold each of their stunned stares, I wasn't bothered by how much each of them sweat.

I didn't mind waiting either. The tension growing between me and everyone else was something I grew accustomed to. So I waited patiently and watch as one shares a troubling glance to the others. By now I knew none would speak.

"All talk and no bite, huh?" I scoff with a devious smirk. "Funny. You guys weren't like that when you were talking shit about Emma. From what I've heard, you compared her to the murderer who's running rampant on the streets. Now, that's something we should talk about."

My blood ran hot through my veins, I could almost taste the anger building inside me. They're pathetic faces were practically suited for a boot to the mouth. I consider the idea but sadly discard it. Emma would be upset if I broke a tooth or two.

"That was a bad analogy, sir!"

I raise a brow in surprise. I stare at the one who spoke, I was sure his name was Daniel. I click my tongue in despise, he looked like a loser.

"Really? So you're telling me that what you've been saying all night is wrong? And you never meant it?"

He immediately casts his eyes down in shame while biting his lower lip. I grit my teeth with my hands shaking atop the table. What kind of coward decides to join the Survey Corps if they're only going look out for themselves?

"Listen here, you shit-talkers, I will not hear another word against our lieutenant. Not one. You will not treat her like shit or talk to her like shit. Get over the fact our recent mission went out of hand. You're alive, be grateful. Emma didn't have to save your life but she did."

I aimed that last comment towards Daniel. His body slouches and I hope he's filled with guilt. Everyone else seemed too speechless to even show the slightest bit of emotion.

"I never seen such a group of lousy, inconsiderate idiots in the three years I've been here," I growl. "And for that, everyone here will run a hundred laps tomorrow at sunrise."

I push off the table and glare about the room. Those who met my gaze turn away abruptly. I head for the exit. I grab the knob and yank it open.

"One last thing. . ." I look over my shoulder and narrow my eyes in anger. "If I hear anything insulting towards Emma I'll personally give you the punishment you deserve." I linger for a moment making sure my threat was clear to these imbeciles before stomping out the door.

"Assholes." I was beyond frustrated. It was one thing for Cadets to talk like they know shit but hearing those who Emma fought side-by-side with for three years was truly infuriating. How could they sit back while everyone degraded her in front of her face? It's just damn annoying.

I knew I was being followed. The doors behind me didn't slam shut and as I paced towards the side of the building footsteps followed me.

"Levi, wait!"

I roll my eyes as I come to a stop. I truly wasn't in the mood for interrogation. I stay as I was, not turning around for her. I hear take in a small breath before speaking.

"What was all that about?"

"Tch, I could ask the same thing, Hanji." I glance over my shoulder with a disgusted scowl. Even I expected more from her. But like everyone she just sat back and watched the show. "Why the hell did you let them talk like that about Emma?"

"Oh? And since when did you care?" She raised a brow while crossing her arms. "Got a lil' crush, hm?"

"Just answer the damn question, Four-Eyes," I snap. I now turned my body while glowering at her like she's some insect. She didn't even seem bothered by it. "You know as well as I do how that mission traumatized her. Yet, you allowed people to call her a cold-blooded killer and even say murdering others is her hobby. What the hell was all that about?"

Hanji's stare becomes hard as stone. Her lips pursing together and that teasing mood now disappears.

"They can say what they wish about her," she grumbles. "It's not my problem."

I release a loud scoff with an icy gaze. "You guys are a bunch of fucking insolent assholes! Emma, our damn lieutenant who works day and night, deserves to be treated like this? Even by her so-called friends? What a joke you and Nifa are. If you guys truly cared about her then you would've stood up for her. This is fucking ridiculous."

"I got every right to be mad!" Hanji explodes. "She doesn't even think about others when it comes to her damn pride!"

"Oh, and you don't do the same? Are you saying you lot aren't also captives of your own human desires?"

Her eyes widen in shock. Her mouth hangs open as though she wished to speak but, not words escaped her lips. She closes it and glares to the side. I shake my head at her hypocrisy.

"Don't be a hypocrite, Hanji. Emma doesn't deserve this, and you know it. So I suggest that you get your act together because you and I will have trouble if you don't." I cast my furious glare upon her once more before stomping off.

I wasn't sure why I'm acting such a way, Emma wasn't of my concern. Yet, I couldn't help but be angry at those who act like they know her.

Even if I don't know much of what happened during that mission two years ago I could feel her pain. I knew defending Emma was the right thing to do because in a way, I saw a part of myself in her that I can never forget.

It was late into the night and I still couldn't bring myself to head back to my office. I wasn't in the mood for work and nor was sleep an importance to me. Everyone headed to bed hours ago and I became the only one walking outside headquarters under the moonlight.

My mind was filled with this evening's events but mainly, I couldn't stop thinking about Emma. As much as that notion troubled me I couldn't bring myself to push those thoughts aside. I was walking out here for a reason but was still waiting to understand why.

It then came to me when I see someone stumble out of the small storage building. It was a smallish figure that pushed themselves pass the door and into the night. I stop walking and asses them from afar.

I was prepared to scare them off. However, I got a familiar feeling well up inside me. Under the moonlight I could tell they walked a drunkard's walk.

A bottle was clasped around their hands and they wore a green cloak with the hood over their head. It was a Scout and I knew damn well who it was. I make haste towards them and sure enough, Emma was the one waddling.

"Oi, brat, what the hell are you doing?"

She walks little ways off before turning around. Her hooded eyes land on me and she seemed confused by my presence. Her pink lips form into a small pout as she sways side-to-side.

I cross my arms as I await for something to click in her. Despite how choleric I was about her drunken state, I couldn't find it in me to outright scold her. Especially when she gave me that sweet but befuddled smile.

"Well, if it isn't Captain Shortie! Pleasure to meet you!"
