Chapter 9: Hero Killer

Hōsha didn't exactly know what to expect when he came to the hideout, but he didn't expect to walk in on a negotiation with the one and only Hero Killer. Being a villain is hard and weird, it's nothing like Hōsha thought it would be. Breaking into a Hero School, attacking said Hero School, being shot- and now meeting and standing in front of the Hero Killer? He came in when the note told him to, but seeing Stain made him wish he was late or maybe earlier? Hōsha stood in place at the door, unsure if he should turn and leave or continue to walk in.

"Ah so you came. I'm sure you stayed low during the past week. It seems by the way you're staring that you already know who the Hero Killer is." Shigaraki spoke up, though he sounded angry, impatient.

"I've seen news reports..." was all Hōsha could muster to say

"Well, it seems he doesn't want to join our cause. However it seems he is taking an interest in you.." growled Shigaraki.

Stain seemed to stare straight into Hōshasei's soul, it felt like he was being judged by death himself. It felt intense and somewhat personal. He had noticed a weapon was missing, seeing as the news articles always claim that he had at least to be five to six seen on his person. However, seeing the ashes and rusted particles on the wooden floor told Hōsha all he needed to know about what had transpired before he entered the bar.

"Are you healing well? I did my best to patch you up once I was finished with Tomura." Kurogiri spoke up as he slowly looked up from the glass he was cleaning.

"I'm just sore is all. I've been changing the bandages as needed.." Hōsha trailed off as Stain moved closer and stood in front of him.

"I see a path forced on you by your peers. I see you fit as a vigilante more than a true villain or a hero. I shall train you to move as fast and in shadows. You have much to learn in this world." Stain proclaimed in a steady yet slightly soft tone.

"hhrg...don't go taking what's mine without permission. I do not approve of-"

"Tomura, please wait. This could be beneficial for us as well as Hōshasei. Clearly he is in need of some guidance before he is to do anything in the field. Stain has never been caught. If he decides to take Hōshasei under his wing and teach him, then let him." Kurogiri interrupted and explained to Shigaraki before he could get further upset.

Shigaraki eventually relents and relaxes slightly as he lets Kurogiri's words sit in his mind for a bit. His warp gate was right like usual. This kid needed guidance and help to understand that he can't just freeze up again, that the heroes don't hold mercy to him. Stain will be his teacher.

"Fine. I'll allow it. However he will come back to us, it's not like the kid has a choice." Tomura eyed Hōsha who in turn just looked back unsure.

Outside the bar, the two stared at each other before Stain made his way to the rooftops. He didn't bother waiting for the younger to follow for now. Hōsha did his best to keep up- however he eventually grew tired and just laid on his back trying to calm his heavy breathing. Stain went back for him and studied him for a bit before coming to another conclusion. He sat next to the young male and watched around him as he spoke.

"You're new. I knew you'd be bad but this was just terrible. A toddler could keep up better. That's not to say you can't learn. You will. You have to in order to survive in this world you are forcing yourself in. I'll teach you, but know that you have to eventually fight me to prove how far you've come and hit me in points that would take down someone. That's if you can hit me."

Hōsha could only stare at the Hero Killer as he did his breathing exercises. He felt angry and confused at what he had said; mostly the 'this world your forcing yourself in' part. He wasn't forcing himself to be a villain, others made him one. Always saying how villainous his quirk was and going out of their way to stay away form him too. Hōsha lets out a huff of slight annoyance that he'll have to do lots and lots of training. The thought of it made his body ache.

"Meet me at this rooftop at 19:40 sharp every day you can spare. I don't take this lightly.." Stain spoke as he stood up.

"Right, I'll be here.."

And with that, Stain jumped off and disappeared into the distant night.

Hōsha made his way back to the league's hideout and entered. Shigaraki was there waiting and scratching, Kurogiri was waiting as well. With one nod from the masked teen, the two knew that he would be unavailable for a few weeks, if not a month. It will be grueling and challenging, but Hōsha needed this if he was to stay in the league or to be a proper villain. They talked about the time he'll be gone and where he'll be meeting the Hero Killer; taking a sip of the water, Hōsha got up from the bar he sat down at twenty minutes ago and went for the door.

Hōshasei went home that night with a weird feeling in his chest. Tomorrow he starts. Tomorrow he'll learn combat, defense, and possibly how to kill. He got into bed and stared at the ceiling; he really doesn't want to kill anyone on purpose..

Another thought crossed his mind as he silently cursed while his mind drifted off.

He needs an excuse for his father as to why he'll be out so late..
