"What are you doing here?" Sky snarled to Red. "This is my territory," he hissed advancing slowly on the red tom. Red stood defiantly.
     "I had it first," he growled through gritted teeth. Around him were the best hunting grounds in this part of the forest. The lush green trees and tall undergrowth provided tons of shelter, the bubbling stream flowing swiftly nearby. Petal strode out from the undergrowth, teeth bared. Raven jumps out of a tree on top of Sky, who howled in surprise. Red charged into battle as well.
The four rogues fought, hissing and spitting. Claws raked over fur. Teeth punctured skin. Bodies slammed, broke, bled. But Red and Raven had the power of size. They slowly started to drive Sky and Petal back. Sky's body was battered and bruised, his pelt matted with blood. His ear was torn, his claws were broken. Petal wasn't as bad. Red couldn't bring himself to force his full wrath on his old mate. When Raven saw Petal's condition, she glared at Red.
The white tom and calico she cat turned tail and run, leaving the clearing behind. Exhausted, the two victorious mates returned to their den, and settled on for a long nights sleep.
