Midnight: Ugh that battle took forever. Xander does not know when to quit, like i'm gonna beat you no matter what you do. Thats not even the worst I can get. If I wanted to, 20 people could launch their beys at Luminous and i'd still win.
Thats interesting. I'd like to see that happen.
Midnight: Its you again, Lui. I thought you didn't like me.
Lui: That was before I knew how interesting and different you were. I only hated you because you acted like Y/N and hung around her dorky friends but your new attitude is much more likable.
Midnight: So you like it when i'm mean and have no social contact with my friends?
Lui: I'm intrigued by it, I never said I liked it.
Midnight: Mhm, i'll take your word for it. But what do you want?
Lui: I saw you hanging out with that kid Boa earlier and I thought that anybody who asks is allowed to hangout with you.
Midnight: Eh, who cares. I have nothing better to do except sleep, eat, then train.
Lui: The last one sounds more of my speed.
Midnight: I know this dark spot in this canyon that I like to train in. But you have to be really strong and if I act different don't pay me any attention.
Lui: We could check it out.
Midnight: Cool lets go. Oo i'm clever. If i'm "friends" with Y/N then that means I still don't like you. Maybe this will be worth my time to see how strong he is. And lets see how shocked he'll be when a girl like me can pull and lift a bolder that is like 6 times my size. I swear sometimes I wonder if i'm an actual human. (Most likely, no.)

In the darkest part of the canyon~

Lui: How can you see down here?
Midnight: Its easy. Their's light in here.
Lui: Uh light in one spot, we're gonna be moving around.
Midnight: Yeah so what, their is nothing down here but rocks. The most hurt you can get is cutting yourself on getting a pebble stuck in your hand.
Lui: What about walls that people can run into?
Midnight: Thats the fun part, the pain of running into a wall matches the pain of losing.
Lui: Okay? Your logic for how you train is crazy.
Midnight: I mean I identify as a crazy person but I can be chill. Now lets get started.

Its been like an hour since Midnight and Lui started training together. And Lui is legit stunned right now.

Lui: How in the world is that not crushing you right now?!
Midnight: Easy, i'm just really strong. I weight like 120 something pounds, I can lift that weight times three on a day were I don't stretch. I stretched today so I can lift more, its one over there if you wanna try. I'll help if you loose your balance because thats when things get a little dangerous. Yeah its not like Valt hasn't done that with me and Free and almost killed us.
Lui: Is this alright?
Midnight: Can you sound a little more excited than that? I thought training was the one thing you enjoyed.
Lui: It is but I still am not very fond of you.
Midnight: Eh, you do you but imma do something else.
Lui: Like what, we've been down here for at least two hours now.
Midnight: I know that. I train down here then I climb back up to the clearing up there and then I run all the way back.
Lui: All in one go?
Midnight: Uh yeah, apparently you are not comfortable with natures training but I love it. You can get hurt in nature but its not as bad as getting stuck on some random machine that could electrocute the soul out your body.
Lui: You are very descriptive about things you like and don't like.
Midnight: Well yeah I like to speak my mind a lot.
Lui: Has someone ever beaten you up because you speak your mind.
Midnight: They tried to but when you're in school and a bunch of girls are around and they hear you say girls are a disgrace to the human race and boys are better, they get angry. So in gym class we did like this boy vs girls thing and girls won and the captain, aka me and some other guy got to fight it out and I won and even his own friends laughed at him.
Lui: Well aren't you interesting.
Midnight: Just keep climbing before you fall.
Lui: You're in front of me, move it so I can go.
Midnight: Whatever, all boys like this view anyway. Uh why am I such a tease. Oh yeah because i'm a huge jerk, Hahahah.
Lui: *He starts to blush* Shut up and go.   

In the canyon's clearing~

Midnight: Wanna race back?
Lui: Eh sure. What does the winner get?
Midnight: Hmm how about the winner gets a free lunch from the loser.
Lui: Deal. Quick question though.
Midnight: Speak now or forever hold your peace.
Lui: Very funny. Anyways you wouldn't happen to know who Y/N is, would you?
Midnight: I know exactly who she is but I promised not to tell anyone about her until the finals, and if a girl makes it there then thats   Y/N.
Lui: Well i'll be looking. But I kinda hope that she makes it and not Y/N.
Midnight: Good now lets go so I can dust you already.
Lui: Who cares, you call it.
Midnight: Okay, 3...2...1....GO!

Back at the tournament arena~

Midnight: HA! I win loser!
Lui: How are you so fast?
Midnight: Some of my cousins hate me and you've never been chased by really big dogs before. I mean like at least three adult huskies snd two german shepherds.
Lui: So you out ran them all?
Midnight: Yup. Me, my siblings, and two of my cousins. We all climbed up trees after we got away and saw our other cousins get knocked over by them.
Lui: Well are you the most interesting person ever.
Midnight: Thanks and I think i'll take my Free lunch tomorrow.
Lui: Fine. Cya around, I guess.
Midnight: You are a horrible actor, you enjoyed my daily routine.
Lui: Not saying anything but goodbye.
