Otta Satine Kenobi is a Jedi. Trained by Luke Skywalker at the ripe age of seven, she was his star pupil. And of course she was, her grandparents were Xzara Ardmore-Kenobi and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Force was in her blood, she was made to be a Jedi. She was the gem of the galaxy, known by countless people on countless planets for her heroics and bravery. A warrior, they called her. The Peace-Bringer. An ironic name in her opinion, and a name she despised. What peace could she possibly be bringing to the galaxy that the New Republic wasn't already doing? Her desire to train in the ways of the Force dwindled day after day, rotation after rotation. But the pressure was always there, to be great, to be like her grandparents, like her father. There was only one person in the entire galaxy that shared these feelings with her...

BEING STRONG DOES NOT MAKE ONE A WARRIOR.

Ben Solo-Skywalker is a disappointment, a tragedy. The first pupil to be trained by his uncle, Luke Skywalker, his skills were promising. He was a Skywalker after all, with the wit of his father, Han Solo. He was bound to be great. But he heard the whispers wherever he went — a travesty. The Destroyer. And he believed every word, letting them fester and infect him. He could never live up to his family's names, never be what they wanted him to be. His desire to train, to become better than any Jedi before, grew with every day, with every rotation. But the weight of his expectations weighed him down, his light slowly fading. But there was one person who made him believe that he was worth something...

A DYAD IN THE FORCE IS AN UNBREAKABLE BOND.

Otta and Ben found a comfort in each other that was like no other. Luke saw it before everyone else — a Force Dyad so strong it could throw the galaxy into utter chaos if not nurtured properly. So that is exactly what the Jedi Master did. He encouraged their relationship to grow and from that, both their powers grew immensely. But with such power, there was bound to be a fault. Supreme Leader Snoke, the leader of the expanding First Order, sensed young Ben Solo and his potential. The boy held incredible power, but he also held deep emotions — pain, anger, sadness, love — love so strong that he would kill for her, die for her, do anything for her. Snoke had found the perfect apprentice and so he helped water the seeds of darkness within the boy's mind. Not only was it Luke that sensed a change in Ben, but Otta as well. He became distant to everyone but her, but when he was with her, he was different. She could see it in his eyes, the change.

THEN, LUKE TRIED TO KILL HIM.

The night the Jedi Temple fell was all because of Luke, there was no way around that. He feared Ben's growing power, his growing darkness. He tried to take things into his own hands and before he could show his nephew that he had immediately regretted his actions, it was too late. Ben had awoken from his light sleep to see the uncle he loved dearly standing over him, lightsaber ignited and ready to strike. That was the day Ben fell to the darkness. He slaughtered every youngling and Padawan he could find. Otta did not leave her room on the far reaches of the temple, unable to move from the overwhelming pain she was feeling. Her dyad with Ben connected them like nothing else. She felt with every life he took, his greed and power growing stronger and stronger and she waiting for him to find her and kill her...
