Three Years
January 19th, 2015.
That's when I joined Wattpad, and it's 2018 now. I've been here three whole years and frankly, that's amazing. Within these three years I've probably had the most dynamic personality and life changes so far. I've met people who've given me things that I'll remember forever, even if we drift apart. I've finally found a talent for myself — writing. I've come across knowledge and viewpoints that came to subtly change my world.
And all of this happened because of Wattpad, and more specifically, the people here.
First and foremost forever, annco123. Annco, you're the best friend I have and the best friend I'll ever have. You're who I always go to when things happen. You've helped me through stuff irl that nobody around me knew about. I love you so much for always being there, and I'll always be so so glad that I came across you. Thank you for being my unwavering friend for three years straight.
The past year is when I really got into WattyWarriors, when I really started to feel as if I was an important part of the account. WW has been a simply wonderful experience, and I love that I'm able to be a part of it. My fellow admins are actually really nice and very kind people. All of them are exceptionally talented at writing, and hanging around with them is great. That's StardustWritings, animewarriorlover, PoppyTea, Tigerheart, and ThatCatUnderTheStars.
I became closer to two other WW admins through the account this year.
Riddivalion, I'm still not exactly sure how we hit it off. One second I was disapprovingly commenting on how you wouldn't do those old book reviews, and then the next we were rapidly screenshotting typos and creating Clob. I believe I've known you since maybe around April or May, and I hate to be nice to you, but you're sorta coolish occasionally, I'm kinda possibly glad I met you, and I wouldn't have been able to do Camp Nano 2017 without your support.
The other person is Briarfur. Briar, you're just really cool tbh. I talked to you a lot more and got to know you better through WW, and talking with you is always really nice because you make for intelligent conversation and I feel like we both think in a way that lets us relate to each other often. I think you've got a knack for pretty things, and a streak of dedication that means you help me out really well as a deputy.
Don't worry, I haven't forgotten CG just yet — there are still people from CloudtailGrandmas who I'm close with.
Such as SilverhawkWC/nettlecrown, mine Aussie mate. It's always refreshing to have a chat with you. You've got strong opinions, most of which I agree with, and you're never afraid of anything. I love the new look your profile's going for, and you're the kind of person who can plot, write, and graphic design, all with skill.
Okay, now for the long list of names —
OliviaBinfield, I had a great time with you last summer. Marine iguanas, murder cult, all of it was really fun, and I think you're very good at writing. You'd better finish the marine iguana story, and maybe throw in the mafia otters while you're at it. You're also incredibly resilient and brave, Olivia.
You've got a strong personality, YearlyAquariAce, and I really like how much you value diversity and humanity as a whole. You seem to always be trying to advocate for something or the other, and I think you're the kind of person who'll bring real change to the world.
Another Australian bogan I've gotten to know a little better this year is Surullinen, which I hopefully spelled right. Often our conversations are interesting, and it's cool to get to know more about what Australia's like. You're a good person, and hopefully you'll reach a point soon where life is good to you and you're supported all around by loved ones — you deserve it.
DuskyKat, I'm afraid I still don't know you that well, but I know enough to know that you're a dedicated leader of Chatpad, and I've seen that you're able to make difficult decisions when necessary. Stay strong, fellow imposter.
Blazestorm, I've known you a year and a half now, I think, and you've always been there for elderly advice. Thanks, grandma.
Rio, melon_xl, you've been good company all this year for me. You're caring, and very smart. Good luck with everything.
The QueerWarriors team is pretty cool. Everyone there is chill, and I like being a part of a group with a good cause and lots of creativity.
Other people I can't skip out on :: cattoot, WaveNote, cookiesandcream37, Sweetstar225, TheForgottenCherri, SilverfrostXxX, WisperSpirit, twentyoneproblems, and anfarlamb
Thank you so much, everyone, for being there and for being my friend. I'm immensely grateful to have all of you as part of my life, and I look forward to new memories.
