^^^ I can't stop smiling!! The news about Jihyo and Daniel dating has really made me so happy (like I haven't been this happy in so many years) and I don't even know why I'm this happy tbh because it's not like I'm part of the relationship or anything. I just really didn't expect it and it was a huge surprise. Jihyo is my ultimate female bias and I just love Daniel so much (even if he wasn't my Wanna One bias). I'm so happy for both of them and I honestly wish them the best. Ahhh, I just so happy!!^^^
"I told you not to get ahead of yourself," was the first thing Chan heard when he regained consciousness. His eyes were still to heavy to fully open so he opted to just listen to the voice. It was deep, raspy and cold, sending shivers down his spine. Goosebumps dressed his skin and that was when he noticed his lack of warmth. He tried bringing his arms to his body to hug himself but his arm refused to leave his side. Feeling around his arms, his hands circled a cold, steel chain. He was trapped.
"I didn't," he recognised Cassidy's voice as it echoed around the room. "This is our breakthrough, Richard. This could be how we get Paige."
"You don't see it, do you? You're pushing things around, messing with other people to get to someone who doesn't even compare to your level of power. Just send your men into the Main Society Headquarters and attack," Richard, the man he heard before, said. The name rang a bell but Chan just couldn't figure out why so he shifted in his seat and dared to open his eyes.
The room before him was small and dimly lighted. Across from him was Han and Changbin, both as bruised, scarred and bloody as him and both unconscious.
He glanced in the direction he had heard the voice and watched as Cassidy paced around in front of a grey hair man who had his back to Chan. She had a finger between her teeth, biting softly at the nail.
"It's not that simple, Richard," she mumbled, before locking her gaze on him. "She expects it. And you know who she has on her side. We can't attack the Society. We need her on her own. Isolated."
"This isn't how... You need to find Lincoln. They had an agreement, Cassidy. And I don't think the rules are going to bend so easily."
"They need Chan."
"They can do without Chan. She has so many people on her side. Why would she need him when she has-"
"But Janey wanted Chan. You know how much her sister's words impact her. She'll do anything she can to keep to whatever Janey said."
"But she's not an idiot, Cassidy. You underestimate her too much. She's Paige, not Janey. It won't be as easy to kill her off... I tried."
"Tried? When?"
"Many years ago. I think she was thirteen. I gave her a fake mini mission and sent her to one do the Rebellion's bases in Ireland. Somehow, and I still don't know how, she escaped and came back. She should have died then. The Rebellion were strong and few had relations to the Davies family so no one would have taken time to second guess before killing her."
Cassidy scoffed, turning her back to Richard and heading to the door.
"That proves nothing. She could have just walked out."
He shook his head.
"I asked her to hack into their system and get all the information she could get. She returned with all the information the Rebellion had. Only a few were killed while about fifteen were left unconscious. I don't know how she did it -- thirteen year olds aren't that good at this... Shouldn't be that good." He sighed and turned to glance at Chan who quickly shut his eyes. "She scares me... Them too."
A laugh filled the air, high pitched and mocking. Cassidy glanced in the direction Richard was and laughed again.
"Stray Kids? They scare you? They are just a mafia group, Richard. Mafias are nothing compared to us."
"I know but Chan, Changbin and Minho scare me. Especially Minho. They were part of the Society once and helped them last year. They know how things work. Minho... Him and Paige worked well together. They figured you out Cassidy... And the recorders in your arms. They figured them out. We've passed generations of Society members and no one has done such."
"Well, someone was bound to figure it out at some point."
"True but not with a mafia member. As you said, mafias are nothing compared to us but then again, a mafia member helped a Society member figure out that we were listening to everything they were planning. If a mafia member can do that much, what more can they do? Especially now that you've angered them."
"I know what I'm doing," Cassidy uttered, turning around again. "Paige will come, alright. And if she brings an army, we'll fight fire with fire."
Chan didn't need to open his eyes to know Richard was glaring at the girl.
"You don't know what you are up against. You think it stopped at Stray Kids, didn't you?"
"What stopped?" But her tone revealed that she didn't really care for the answer.
"Pairing up with mafia groups."
That line was enough to make Chan freeze, feeling as if all the blood in his system was being drained.
"They paired up with another?"
"The sons of some of the members. While I doubt Paige knows it yet, I think they have a plan of using the Society to their advantage."
"And is that a good thing or not?"
"Not. No matter who looks at our case right now, we are the enemy."
"So what do you suggest?"
Richard thought for a bit, humming in the act before snapping his fingers to prove that he had an idea.
"Get in touch with the mafia group. Get their fathers on our side."
