"You've been gone for a while," Minho muttered under his breath as he watched Donghyun approach him.

It was a cold evening in Buenos Aires. The sky was an artistic blend of orange, pink and blue as the red sun descended past the horizon. A strong breeze blew through the city paired with the fair hum of distant thunder.

However, Minho remained inside, the breathtaking view not enough to distract him from the freezing air. The warmth of the Society Headquarters building provided him that and -- being that he was in the canteen -- it provided him with food.

Donghyun's gaze landed on his burger before glancing up at the boy who wore a sly smile across his face.

"One would suspect you went somewhere far away. Perhaps to tell someone about Paige's plans," Minho added.

"I had some business to attend to."

"Business? What kind of business?"

Donghyun raised an eyebrow, "what makes you think I'd tell you of all people?"

"You wouldn't have to hide anything if you were just completely honest with all of us." Minho scanned the latter's nonchalant expression and dropped his smile. "So you are the betrayer Paige was talking about, huh? Who are you working for? Cassidy?"

"Of course not," he glared. "And even if I did work for Cassidy, Paige knows better than to invite me to Russia."

"Well, if you weren't on a short mission, where were you?"

"I didn't say I wasn't on a short mission. I just wasn't working with Cassidy."

Minho sent him an unimpressed look before humming quietly to himself, "Yeah, sure. I totally believe that."

"You don't trust me," Donghyun shrugged. "And you won't ever. I feel the same way so I don't really care if you believe me or not."

Silence was shared between them as Donghyun took a seat opposite the latter after getting himself a sandwich. Neither talked nor wished to acknowledge the other's presence. Chatter filled the canteen as Society workers started flooding in for a snack before leaving for the day. Gazes drifted to them here and there but for the most part they were ignored, much to their delight.

"Minho," Woojin called out, hurrying towards the pair. He didn't seem too bothered or surprised by them being together but that was probably because he didn't care much. "Paige asked to speak to you privately in her office. Something about Hyunjin or your other members. I don't really remember but it sounded important."

"Can it wait? I still have to finish this burger."

"We are under a tight schedule so it would be highly appreciated if you didn't. Now get going. The whole world is waiting for you."

With a groan, the boy finally stood up, shooting Donghyun one more icy glare before leaving the canteen.

Woojin finally glanced up from his clipboard, noticing the remaining boy's gaze planted on him.

"Can I help you?" he asked sarcastically.

"You seem famished," the assassin stated. "Why not get yourself something to eat?"

The look Woojin gave him was nothing short of disgust, scoffing out, "if you are trying to be friends, forget it. The only reason I'm dealing with you is because I don't want to add more to Paige's plate. So I'd appreciate if we both stayed professional with this."

Donghyun held his hands up in mock surrender, "why does everyone here hate my guts? Why doesn't anyone trust me?"

Woojin's eyes narrowed at him, leaning his face slightly closer, "you know very well why I hate you and unlike everyone else here, it isn't because I don't trust you."

"Honestly, my take away from that is that you trust me."

He rolled his eyes, "not entirely but to an extent."

"Why? You of all people have a valid reason to not trust me. So why do you?"

"Because Paige does and I trust her."

Donghyun nodded slowly, taking a sip of the milkshake he had gotten himself. Woojin watched, half expecting the assassin to strike up another conversation but when he didn't, the latter spun on his heels, heading back in the direction he had come from.

The canteen was beginning to quiet down and workers were racing out from all directions. A few more minutes and the room would be empty, with no one but Donghyun who seemed largely interested in his drink. If Woojin had stared long enough, he would have noticed his eyes red from exhaustion and the fatigue that clung to his face. He also probably would have noticed the faraway look in his eyes, the internal conflict raging in his mind.

"The tunnels," Donghyun muttered, loud enough for only Woojin to hear. "You need to check them."

"No one has been inside there for years," Paige's assistant explained, not bothering to face him.

"Still. Check them. You'll be surprised."
