Queen Adiya's POV

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha " Laughed Dhruv as he viewed me in my full glory!

He ( like my grandfather and my father) found it amusing to climb the palace at the middle of the night. Just two days before our marriage.

"Show your beautiful face to your husband." He teased me.

"You are not my husband yet!" I grumbled as he saw me covered in turmeric paste (applying turmeric paste before wedding is considered auspicious in India). And he found it amusing.

If you don't know what is going on, then let me enlighten you. I agreed to Dhruv's proposal of marriage. We simply asked our families to fix the date of our marriage and make our relationship public.

Various kinds of theories came into life. Some people said that we both married in order to gain a political advantage. Some people pointed out that it was Guruji who made our union possible. However the most popular theory was that we both fell in love during our combined war agains the landlords. We found it to be most reasonable and easy to believe. So we adopted this theory. And public was overjoyed to imagine a fairy tale romance coming into action.

The Groom's family was invited two days prior to the marriage that were taking place in our palace.

While my family wanted to keep the whole affair extravagant, it was Dhruv's idea to promote a simple marriage with minimum people. With low cost. That would encourage the people of our kingdoms to go for lesser grand marriage and save money. The dowry wasn't a question since we both wanted to promote a dowry-free marriage. If the richest of the Royals could opt for a simple wedding, the poor and the common public could easily aim for simpler weddings. That would ensure that they wouldn't waste their life long savings into marriage.

Coming back to the topic, Dhruv was forbidden to see my face till we both sit together on the aisle on the day of our wedding. However I passed a message to him through Piku. I challenged him to see me before we got married.

Apparently I shouldn't have posed him such a challenge. Because he managed to land into my room (located just above his) just after I finished applying the turmeric paste.

"Don't touch me!" I whispered as I warned him.

"Please let me !" He whispered back as he kept his hand on my head and tried to bring my lips closer to his.

"My hands and face are covered with turmeric paste!" I complained. I had yet not applied the paste on my legs. He seemed to stare them a lot!

"Did I ever tell you that you have very beautiful legs?" He asked with a certain boyishness. And I knew something was up.

He pulled me towards him, lifted me (by holding me through my waist) and made me gently sit  on my bed. He then pulled both of my legs and put them on his shoulders which made me fall back into the matteress.

"Why can't we explore your legs dear?" He smiled as he begin to shower small kissed on my foot. I laughed because I felt ticklish. He smiled and ignored it. His hands grabbed my waist and his lips conquered my legs. I closed my eyes and started feeling the warmth of the wetness of his mouth against the chilly winter air!

"Your Highness! May I come in!" Shouted the maid.

"Come later!" I Shouted back and then noticed certain tremble in my voice! Then then I heard Dhruv's laughter. He commented how I was intoxicated with his presence.

Suddenly I realised that his lips were teasing my thighs. As his mouth advanced toward my wetness, I felt Panic as I stopped him in between his assault to my thighs.

"What happened?" His eyes screamed as he looked towards me, shocked.

"It's just that, I was scared!. Scared of losing control." I Said.

"Don't worry. Let's lose our controls together during our wedding night." He said as he let go my legs

"Aren't you going back to your room?" I asked him.

"Well I can't." He said as he gazed outside from my window.

"Turns out that someone has shut the windows from my chamber. I can't go out else everyone would doubt me." He said.

"Which means that.." I Said.

"It means that I will sleep with you tonight!" He ended up speaking.

In the next few minutes, the room turned into pitch dark, my clothes were removed along  with Dhruv's. We hugged and kissed for the whole night. I was sharing my turmeric with him.

It was the next morning (before sunrise) when when I asked Piku to deliver the message to Vansh. After sometime, we noticed that the window to Dhruv's room was opened. Since it was already dark, no one was present around to see Dhruv climbing his way back to his room.

I heaved the sigh in relief. I didn't want to cause any scandal before the wedding ceremony.

While I had earlier imagined our marriage many times in the past, the whole actual moment went into blur. I experienced a whole new variety of emotions. There was happiness to marry my dream man. Yet there was a new sense of responsibility to be a better and more capable Queen. There was a sense of relief that now I had a partner as my co ruler. And yet there was happiness that my parents can retire from the throne in peace. They had been constant support since they felt that there was a void of a co ruler. Now that the void was filled, they can relax.

"In this relationship, as a male, you are now going to make a promise to your wife that you will always protect her." Smiled the priest as he tried to make us understand the vows.

"Male or female doesn't matter. She is more capable than me. You can make her promise to protect me! " joked Sahil. And I lifted my veil and winked him and put my veil back.

"You are require to promise your man that you won't get ready for any other man in his absence." Said the priest.

"Ya I can woo any male in his presence." I Said and Sahil chuckled. We were scolded by our parents to take the vows seriously.

I felt on the top of the world. I was privileged enough to have rulership of two greatest kingdoms! I had my parents and grandparents by my side. And most importantly, I got a life partner who considers me his equal. And most importantly, he is my best friend... someone who accompanied me since my childhood, challenged me in my adulthood and is (and always will be )a rock solid support throughout my entire life!
