Chapter 41 Thoughts

Princess Adiya (Diya's) POV

"Ahem ahem" coughed my father as he tried to bring my absent mind to the current scenario. I had started giving my full participation in the court. My parents insisted.

"Princess Adiya! I demand your full attention to the matters of the Kingdom!" Scolded my father. However I saw my mother putting her hand on his signalling him to calm down.

"Accept my apologies Your Majesty" and here I went formal again.

"I can see you are in the midst of something very important. I am sure it must be related to the public." Said my mother after the topic of the discussion was brought into its conclusion.

"I request both of you as well as Queen Naintara and King Adiya some time in private. There is something I need to discuss." I spoke out loud. The whole court knew that I wanted to talk about our rivalry with Surya Kingdom! Everyone in the kingdom was curious about its recent developments.

"I order that the Court sessions are adjourned!" Said my mother and after a few minutes we all were in the library. Grandmother was simply smiling whereas grandfather looked at me curiously.

"Young lady! You are a mirror of your grandmother! I smell trouble." Said grandfather and lovingly put his hand on my grandmother's shoulders. I imagined how much mammoth task it must have been to love and create a respect in the mind of King Aditya himself! He had always viewed my grandmother as his equal (sometimes superior too).

"There is something I need to confess" I spoke up.

"What?" Said my mother.

"I was wrong. The tactics of staying away and attacking doesn't seem to work since the King Dhruv is way too intelligent to interpret my moves! We have two options. Either to cancel the war or have a war!" I Said.

"We cannot cancel this war. Else it would affect our reputation. All the neighbouring kings and allies know about it. Whole public is expecting you to win this war and make our kingdom more prosperous. People have high hopes from you." Said father.

"But I don't wish to break my oath of non violence" I protested.

"There must be some way. To have this war and be non violent." Wondered my mother aloud.

"I know what to do now. Do you all trust me?" I asked.

"We have full faith in you." Said grandfather.

"Then brace yourself for the toughest war ever!" I smiled. I had found the solution to end the misery!
