Chapter 29:- The Nullification

King Dhruv's (Sahil's) POV

I was shocked by my own throaty laugh. I mean I was beyond happy! Our plan to loot the carriages containing the bulk grains that were meant for the Kshitij Kingdom's soldiers was a success!

It happened that after the sunset during the previous day, our spies gathered around the farmers who rode the bullock carts and carriages containing the grains for the soldiers that were being supplied by the Kshitij Kingdom as they neared towards the border.

The spies used the arms and rounded their farmers. With my strict instructions, none of their carriage rider or farmer was killed. However they were tied with ropes and were made to sit in a nearby abandoned hut. And then they were replaced by our spies who transported their carriages into our kingdom surpassing their borders. Our spies impersonated their farmers while riding to the carriages and carts. The soldiers guarding their borders didn't doubt as they assumed that their farmers were merely advancing towards their grain storage complex that was located toward the border.

"These are the finest quality of grains. Very rarely available. These are in tons! I guess they store the best of the quality of food for their soldiers. We can earn a fortune if we sell them." Said the valuer.

All the Ministers were happy. There was a light, almost victory like atmosphere in the court.

"Your Majesty, I am afraid that maybe our plan won't work." Said one of our Ministers, with his head bowed, with a line of disappointment on his face.

"What? Why!?" I was shocked.

"Princess Adiya, she somehow got the list of our foreign traders and as per the news, she has offered to sell them the similar goods as ours with the lesser price. Now all of them want to break the alliance and collaborate with Kshitij and Harsha Kingdom!" Said the Minister.

And I felt like I could literally smash and throw the things around. I mean I am usually a calm person, but I was finding it difficult to control my anger!

Princess Adiya (Diya's) POV

"I am glad that all of you have decided to extend your alliance to our kingdom! Trust me, I will ensure that you all will be highly benefited from it!" My father assured the group of traders from other Kingdoms. They were ready to break their alliance with Surya Kingdom.

After they left, the mood in the Court was joyous and everyone seemed to be proud of me. I could literally see it in the eyes of my parents, grandparents and every Minister present in the court.

However it didn't last soon. We were informed by the messenger that our grains that were meant to be supplied to our soldiers' storage complex were looted by some people who impersonated our farmers.

Luckily none of the farmers were harmed. They were found by a village boy, tied with ropes. One of the farmers narrated the entire incident in the court.

"I want our borders to be sealed completely. Except for the Harsha Kingdom, no one must be allowed to enter or exit our kingdom! Any person from Harsha Kingdom will be allowed the entry or exit only after the authorisation under the royal seal!
Ordered my Mother, Queen Adina.

Apparently we all concluded that it was the work of some of the spies of Surya. Though I was doubtful about the presence of the spies of the Surya Kingdom, I never knew that they were that much in the number!

The grains were of the highest quality so we had to reimburse our farmers. Luckily Harsha Kingdom had excess of the provision of the grains for soldiers of the similar quality so my grandparents promised to supply us the same.

That was a huge loss for me! Monetary as well as reputation! I had to think of something! And that too very quick!

My already baffled mind was calmed when I read the letter of Sahil. It was delivered by our pigeon Piku who was faithful in ensuring timely delivery of our letters.

My dear Diya,

I feel so lonely without you. God knows when your family responsibilities will be over. Can't wait to get  married with you.

How is your life? Remembered the advise you had given me earlier? About the chess? Guess what? It worked somewhat. However my rival is way too intelligent to fall for those strategies! I wish you were there with me. We both would have defeated that intelligence!

Besides I feel so lonely on this bed, sleeping without your presence! I would have hugged you tight if you would have sit next to me! Hey let's meet. At our favourite spot. I miss you terribly.

Your future husband,
Your current soul mate,

Sahil.
