As the demon sleeps, man turns on man
His own blood and madness soon cover the earth
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light

~ Gab/Blaze's p.o.v. ~
We landed on the empty highway road that connects to the bridge for us to land. Once I last touch the ground, I taxied my plane to a wide-open field for our planes to fit and maintain. My eyes were heavy from the lack of sleep and a shit ton of shenanigans happened a while back. Captain Price already told me that Hamilton is slightly wounded and sent to hospital, then soon to jail for what he did. But I'm glad that he's alive.
I got off my plane, I lost my balance when someone caught me. "Hey, Kid. Are you alright?"
I look up and saw Chopper, the others catching up with us. I smile and stand up, "I'm fine. I just need some rest."
"Well lucky for you we've got hotel reservations for all of you to rest," Larry said, just arrived at the scene. He looks at me and his face went frown. "Come with me so we can take you to a hotel."
We rode in a van and went to a nearby hotel, my dad is waiting for us outside. Once he saw me stepping out of the van, he looks happy, but he went stern. "Gab, we need to talk."
"Ah, shit. Here we go again..." I thought. Did he find out?
We went to our respective rooms, separated by 1 person. Once I have entered my room with my dad, he locks the door and Orby decided to show up.
"President Harling told me that you were part of the Special Task Force, and you two didn't tell us?" He said, looking mad at me.
I laugh nervously and slightly look away, "I decided to join since I've gotten to know the commander Sulejmani and-"
"For how long?"
"Before reincarnation."
He went shocked and stood there in silence. He knew about my reincarnation but not entirely. "So you're saying that man is reincarnated here like you?"
I'm about to say something but Orby floats in front of me. "Gab didn't know he got reincarnated until the day they've met. They knew each other since they were both former mercenaries."
"It's a long story so don't bother about it," I added. My dad sighed and scratch the back of his head. "There is so much going on here..."
I decided to change the topic, "Is the President and Prime Minister safe?"
"Yes, they are currently in the Bright Hill, guarded by the Special Task Force." He answered, "How 'bout you? You look like you're dying."
"Oh, it's just the intense escape from the tunnel before blowing up. Plus, a lack of sleep."
Dad slowly nodded, then pat her shoulder, "Take a shower and take a good rest. You did everything you can from the previous fight."
I smile and nodded, "Goodnight, Dad." He kissed my forehead and smiled before leaving the room. Now finally he left, I can now take a shower.
I immediately took off my clothing and headed to the shower. As I refresh myself, I am thinking about my life before the start of the war. The time where I got transferred to Sand Island, meeting Nagase, Chopper, Grimm, and others. Fighting together in a war, being betrayed, presume dead, became now the Ghost of Razgriz, and now we reach the end of the war. Oh, how much time we've been through and somehow we all managed to survive. I chuckled and continue to shower.
After I took a shower, I put on my underwear and my flight suit since there are no spare clothes in the hotel and Orby already made a fast-paced laundry.
"Finally some comfort!" I jump to the bed and hug one of the pillows like a giant teddy bear. I heard Orby giggle.
"Look at you, so cute like a child when you hug the pillow!"
"Excuse me, it's been a while since I slept in a comfortable bed!" I shot back.
"Do you imagine yourself being with a man you love sleeping beside you?" She asked. I look at her in silence, then slowly look away.
"So you do thinking about it!"
"Shut up!" I shouted, a blush appearing on my face. "That is just one time and will never happen again!"
"I should tell your brother about this."
"Oh, sod off!" I throw my arms up and sighed deeply as I tried to go to sleep, the only thing I did is starring at the ceiling. Orby notice the change in my mood.
"Are you thinking of something, Gab?"
It was a short silence surrounding us, then I sighed. "Now we know how to destroy the SOLG, but the problem is those Belkan bastards that survived during our previous encounters."
"Garbacr and Ofnir were it?" I slowly nodded. "I'm just worried about my friends if they encounter them, I don't even know if we'll manage to survive or not."
"Well, all you can do is do your best to fight to protect your loved ones. So don't give up and stay alive!" Orby cheered.
I snorted, "Just a common usual day of a pilot." We both laugh. It's a good relief of tension to talk to somebody you want to talk about.
"Alright, I'm going to sleep now," I said, wrapping myself with a blanket. "Wake me up when someone is calling me."
"Alright, take a good rest." Orby has vanished in front of me. My eyes slowly started to close until I drifted to sleep.
•=•=•=•=•=•
"Gab, Wake up."
"Hngh... "
"Gab, someone is knocking on your door."
I open my eyes and sit up in irritation. I lift my arm to check the time.
"It's 4:30 am... What do they want this time?" I groaned and stretch both of my arms until a popping sound was heard. God, that was good.
There was another knock on the door again so I stood up and check who was outside. I open the door, revealing Nagase standing there in a full flight suit. I ask her, "What is it, Kei?"
"Pops called and wants us to meet him." Nagase answered, "He wants to discuss the SOLG."
My eyes when wide when hearing about the SOLG. Is it happening this midnight? "Just give me a few minutes, okay?"
She nodded. I immediately put on my socks and boots, and grab my watch as I follow her while wearing it. I saw the others as well as they ride inside the Humvees. It took us 15 minutes to arrive at the base station near the highway we landed before. Once we got off from the vehicle, a soldier guide us to a large green tent, and inside, Pops, Dad, and Uncle Larry are there. Chris and Vikhor aren't around here.
"Hey, Pops!" Chopper called, "What have we got?"
"Sit down so I can explain it to all of you." We all sat in front while the projector projects images and videos for our probably mission tonight. It shows the image of the world and the SOLG on top of it.
"The SOLG's descent was detected by our radar at 1500 hours yesterday. We believe it was programmed to automatically descend if control was ever cut off from the surface."
Snow asks, "Where is it going to drop?"
The image shows the world map, and it zooms to Osea. Dad points it where it drops. "Its estimated point of return is Oured, Osea."
My team went pale hearing this. If the SOLG hits the ground, with or without its payload, it will be a huge catastrophe and it will cause millions of casualties. "We have to destroy it before it hits Oured."
Larry nodded and smiles, "And that's why we called you here. Oka Nieba will be our AWACS for this mission, Mobius 1 and Igor are going to stay here in case something happens. Everyone suit up and head to your planes. Dismissed."
Everyone immediately left the room to gear up. Before I left, I went to approach the Galm team, "Dad."
"What is it, Gab?" Dad asked.
"I have a feeling Grabacr and Ofnir are coming as well. If they arrived..."
"We will beat them." He answered, "Don't think something negative. You took them down before, we will do it again."
I grinned and tap his arm before leaving the tent. I enter a different tent where all the flight gears are. I pray to God for our safety and guidance to our mission, to finally end the war, and to reunite with our loved ones. We rode back to the Humvee and took us to the highway where our planes are. Surprisingly, we are using F-22 this time, and they are all painted in black and red.
"I've gotta thank that person who gives us these planes." I chuckled. I climbed to a ladder and hop on inside the cockpit. My plane is taxied at the back so I can let my wingmen take off first. Once I was the last, I made a final check on my plane until I was ready.
"Your final sortie..." Said the flight control operator. "It's kinda sad, huh?"
I chuckled, "Yeah."
"Alright, launch preparations are complete. Launch!"
I pushed the throttle forward and my jet began to roll down the highway, gaining speed with each passing second, before I reached the sufficient take-off velocity and took to the darkened early morning skies of Oured.
Nagase, Grimm, Chopper, and Snow soon joined me after I took off. I spotted the Galm Team's plane behind us, they were all gray and I think they want to surprise the Belkan fighters if they come. We flew in formation out towards the serene-looking Oured Bay, the city growing smaller behind us.
"Good luck out there, Razgriz!"
"We'll be back before you know it," replied my Dad.

I looked up and he saw the faint outline of a larger plane higher up in the sky, and I smiled when our newfound friend, SkyEye's counterpart, and AWACS spoke up over the radio to talk with them.
"This is Oka Nieba, hurry to the target area. The later you get there, the less time you'll have to attack the SOLG. The SOLG will descend to a vulnerable altitude in five minutes."
"Roger that, we'll take care of it."
My heart begins to beat slightly faster. We are so close to victory. To think we reach this far, and this will be our last flight with others. I took a deep breath as my heartbeat calms down. Whatever challenge it is, I'm ready to face it.
The flight was silent. We have more than four minutes left. Out of nowhere, a familiar deep voice came alive from the comms.
"They are definitely the Razgriz."
"Blaze! It's-"
"Oka Nieba to the Ghosts of Razgriz and Galm Team. New enemy planes on the radar, it's a double Belkan formation... Ofnir and Grabacr."
"So they did arrive." I lean forward and squinted my eyes to see their planes. They're like Su-47, but when it gets closer, now I clearly see that they're S-32, an improved version of Su-47. I learned it from our friendly Belkan scientist. I snapped out of my thoughts when Uncle Larry laughs.
"Ah, just like the good old days. Right, buddy?"
"It sure does." My dad chuckles. I realized that they're the ones who shot them down fifteen years ago.
"We will restore the pride we had fifteen years ago!" Announced one of the Belkans before two of them fired four missiles at once.
"Missile! Break!" Snow shouted, we launched flares and break off to avoid their missiles. Just in time when the Belkan fighters split up and went after one of us.
"It's time to settle this, evil ravens!"
I detected two enemy planes behind me as I perform a barrel roll and an Immelmann turn to avoid their gunfire. Once one of them is behind me, I quickly do a cobra and as I flew behind one of the Belkans, I quickly fire my cannons to damage his plane, only for him to break off.
"Eight tough planes... My heart is racing! My whole body is shaking!" Said Grimm as he dodges an enemy missile as other Belkan sticks behind him. "Someone is on my six!"
"Hang on, Grimm!" Chopper exclaimed. I didn't see what happened but looks like the Belkan behind Grimm dive to avoid Chopper's missiles.
"Nagase! Need some help!" I yelled.
"I'm coming Blaze!" I saw her plane above, catching up with us.
"Let's do a Thach Weave!" I pulled hard left and quickly glance behind to see a Belkan pilot keeping up my pace. I keep weaving back and forth multiple times to piss him off as he didn't get a lock on which he didn't realize Nagase is targeting him.
"Edge, fox 3!"
A loud explosion was heard from behind, I turn around and saw a plane destroyed by Nagase. "Thanks, Kei."
"You shall fall to your deaths and lead the way for the SOLG as it smashes into the Earth!" Ashley said.
"Go suck a d-"
"Language!"
"Sorry, Dad," I muttered. Oh how much I wanted to roast them up so bad. I watch my father go after the Belkan from head-on, and being a Demon Lord himself, he easily shot down the plane with a pair of missiles once he reaches very close to the Belkan. The pilot died and my dad pulls hard to the side as the plane falls and sinks underwater.
"Chopper here! I've been spiked!" I looked around and saw two planes coming after him. I madly chase after one of them and fired my cannons. Damaging one of his wings until it tore off. The plane went to a death spiral, but the pilot bails out before it crashed into the water.
"Thanks, Kid!" Chopper said until a missile warning sound blasted. "Shit! Break!"
Just one word and we both avoid incoming missiles. One Belkan pursues me and began firing his cannons, damaging my pane slightly. I grunted and yanked my plane upwards, and he follows me. I immediately flip my plane as I stall it. Diving towards the enemy, I launched a missile, and it hits the cockpit and explodes. I have to roll and avoid the explosion or the flames will engulf my plane.
"No!" One of the Belkans exclaimed, presumably from Ofnir. "The damn Razgriz Ghosts!"
I decided to talk to them, "How's that for trash talk pilots like you? Didn't expect for us to take few of your comrades, huh?"
"Silence, demon!"
I grinned and chuckled, "Oh ho! I'm not just some demon. I'm the daughter of the Demon Lord. The same demon that shot you down since the Belkan War."
Shocks came from their voice, especially from two leaders of Grabacr and Ofnir. "You are what?!"
"Impossible... That is a Lie!"
"Oh really?" Dad jumped into our conversation. "It's been a while, Ashley, Michael. Still looking alive after I shot you down fifteen years ago, I see."
Orby told me how shocked their expressions were. I chuckled while taking down another Belkan plane. I watch as my Dad unleashes the power of the Demon Lord by engaging one of the Belkans, and the pilot he pursues made a dive roll to break off from him but Dad managed to catch up with him. Another plane went after my dad, but his wingman went straight to the Belkan pilot and fired a pair of missiles, and instantly killed the pilot.
"I cleared your six, Buddy," Larry called.
"Thanks." He replied. He releases a burst of gunfire at his prey to damage his plane, mostly at the plane's nozzle. It ignites and is set on fire as the plane rapidly descends to the sea.
"Dammit! Another plane down..." Michael groaned, "Out of all people to show up, it has to be the Demon Lord!"
"Pupils of Huckebein! We will decide once and for all who is superior!" Ashley announced before he and his remaining allies, including Michael, joined together to take on the Razgriz and Galm as one squadron.
I could see how blinded they were by their lust for revenge, but I couldn't deny that they certainly were among the best Belkan pilots we had ever fought against.
"2 Minutes left!" Oka Nieba announced. Shit, we don't have time. We split up and take one of them. Michael chooses to take me down despite being the daughter of the Demon Lord.
I smirked as the enraged Michael tried desperately to shoot him down, failing time after time, until I juked him out and performed a half-kulbit maneuver I used before. In slow motion, Michael looked above at me. I smile widely.
"Go to sleep, forever." I fired a missile straight to his cockpit. Blowing it apart and killed him.
"Michael! Dammit!" Ashley swore. The remaining Ofnir pilots curse at me as I curse back, and my Dad scolded me again. At least we're on a dogfight and he will never hit me with a slipper. With four pilots left, we decided to take two-on-one, leaving my Dad taking care of Ashley.
"We will haunt you for eternity! Aauugh!" The Belkan's scream was cut off by a joint attack by Nagase and Grimm.
"The battle is over! Accept your defeat!" Snow shouted. Uncle Larry acts as bait for him to get a shot.
"We will never give in!" Sadly, that's his last words before getting shot down by Snow's missile. A Belkan pilot went after me as he fired his last remaining missile after he wasted so much from our dodges. I was able to avoid the missile and keep my flying straight. I roll my plane upside down and dive down as Chopper fires the cannon from head-on, the plane took major damage and it's now falling to the ocean.
Which remains Ashley against the Demon Lord. I saw my Dad's plane go after him. Ashley couldn't shake him off, no matter how many maneuvers he tried. A call out and a single missile were all it took to shear off half of Ashley's jet and send it plunging towards the water below.
"I...I never thought you'd be this good..." His last words were full of defeat. I roll my plane to see his jet, surprisingly, he bailed out. What the hell? I was expecting all of them to be suicidal. Oh well.
"All enemy planes destroyed." Announced Oka Nieba.
"Some of them survived and bailout," I muttered.
"The Coast Guards are already on their way to pick them up," Dad said, I sighed in relief. Both teams form up information and continue to the descent point of the SOLG.
"In just a few hours...the light of the east will come," said Nagase with a soft smile.
"Our night flight is almost over," added Grimm. "I can't wait to see it...the most beautiful sunrise ever."
"And the sun will continue to rise, now and forever." Snow said.
"Hallelujah." Chopper whistles. I chuckled, leaning back to my seat as I watch the sun slowly rise, a few rays of sun showing up, and a few stars left to say see you at night.
"I just remembered...my birthday's coming up next week," said Grimm happily when the revelation hit him.
"See? Aren't you glad you're still alive?"
"I bet my mom will be happy to see my brother come back home from Yuktobania."
"You oughta go make her happy too," replied Chopper. "We're almost done here."
I smile. As I look above the sky, Snow said something. "Captain, I want to thank you."
"For what?" I asked.
"Flying as a wingman again, I now know how my wingmen felt when we were serving on the Kestrel."
Silence once again came back over us as the timer struck the final minute until the satellite reaches its vulnerable altitude, and already they could see the hulking construct of war in the sky falling towards them.
"I vowed to myself that I would never lose another flight lead... And that's what kept me flying until now." Nagase said softly, "So please, Blaze... Let me fly as your wingman a little longer."
I look at her plane and smile, "Sure." Just in time, Oka Nieba interjects to give focus to our mission.
"The SOLG has fallen to an altitude low enough for you to attack. I know you can do this. Destroy it!"
"It's time to perform the final orchestra! Time to finish this!"
As for myself being in the lead, we raise our altitudes and came up behind the massive satellite along the length of the barrel. We were finally able to see for ourselves what the SOLG looked like, and they were slightly baffled by its unique design. Unlike me, I saw it thrice, but never expect to see it in person. Not knowing where to begin, Oka Nieba came to the rescue yet again with much-needed information that came from their most trusted source.
"I've received a data link from your guy, Pops, with the SOLG's structural details. The SOLG's electrical and vulnerable systems are contained in modules located directly behind the four counterclockwise auto-loading magazines, right before the counterweights. The only way to destroy them is by firing through the gaps between the magazines and the counterweights!"
"Roger, AWACS! Shoot away the solar panels first, they're in the way!"
We split up and we started to whittle away at the massive satellite, the fragile solar panels breaking away easily and threatening us as fragments when they fell away. Grimm skillfully flew around one of the panels while Snow shot his way through another, splitting it apart and flying between the two halves.
"I'm not going to be done in by some falling fragments! Let's do this Grimm!"
"Roger!"
More of the solar panels fell away until the last one was destroyed by Nagase, leaving clear shooting lanes for the core systems as Oka Nieba had said. The gaps were small and were constantly blocked by the other components of the SOLG.
"Dammit. I can't land a shot!"
"Nagase, Grimm, Snow, Chopper, keep taking down those core parts! Galm team and I will destroy the obstacles in your way!"
With my wingmen taking the opportunity to destroy the cores, we begin to destroy the magazines connected to the main barrel that blocks the core as it rotates. We fired everything we had to destroy it, one of them broke apart and that massive magazine hurled off towards us as we flew off to avoid impact.
"Core element one destroyed!" Announced Grimm when an explosion occur to a destroyed core.
"All that's left of their hatred is this thing right before us..." Nagase muttered.
"And it's our job to take care of it!" Chopper replied. His attack missed, but after the Galm team removed another large magazine, Snow damaged the second core and another explosion occurred.
"We're gonna do this! Just believe in yourselves!" declared Snow, continuing his assault. "I'm not through yet! This is for all my men who fell before me!"
"We have the hearts of thousands backing us, and the lives of so many more in front of us!"
I look at my wingmen, and I couldn't feel any prouder to fly with such passionate pilots. Tears appeared in my eyes and laugh happily. I will cherish this wonderful moment, forever.
"60 miles to Oured."
We keep damaging the SOLG's components until they were finally destroyed by Chopper and Nagase. Now that's left is the Artillery shell, the V2. I pulled back to see the barrel's door open after we damaged the core. I lock on to the shell and hold the launch button.
"This Unsung War will be finished!"
I fired two of my remaining missiles at the shell and retreated immediately as I watch the SOLG, part by part, explode.
"Blaze!"
"Everyone, Break!" I yelled. As we flew away a bright white light engulfed us.

~3rd person's p.o.v. ~
The city of Oured was silent, its citizen sleeping peacefully in their own beds until they were due to rise and begin their day in several hours. A pigeon fluttered its wings and settled down on an isolated lamppost, chirping once and looking toward the darkened night sky.
Suddenly a bright white light flashed and a massive explosion filled up the night sky with its brilliance, a deafening boom echoing over the city, washing over every building and soaring down every single street. Flaming fragments of the SOLG began raining down like meteors toward Oured Bay, and just outside of the explosion radius flew the five aces of Razgriz.
Despite the explosion being dangerous, Blaze can't help but mesmerize at the beautiful sight. The flight was silent until Chopper laughs.
"We did it..." Chopper said, "We did it!"
They begin to laugh and cheer after achieving the greatest victory they ever had. Blaze performs a barrel roll, Grimm follows her. Cipher and Pixy laugh at them sightsee, and they were proud of the Razgriz, the Ace squadron who finally ended the war. The Ghosts of Razgriz flew off in formation and fly up to the sky.
When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself... first, as a dark demon.
As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies.
However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns, this time, as a great hero.
"They did it!"
"Yeah! Wooo!"
"Salute to the Razgriz!"
The cheers of the people grew louder. The soldiers finally return home to their families all thanks to the brave pilots who fight from the beginning to the end.
"Can you hear these cheers? Don't tell me you can't hear them."
As for Gab, she was finally able to go home and spend her time with her family. What a great way to celebrate this incoming New Year.

Oured, Osea
~ 3rd person's p.o.v. ~
After the pilots have landed on a highway and parked their planes in the open area, they were greeted by several soldiers and personnel, clapping and cheering on their victory. Grimm is completely shy and is hiding behind Snow but Chopper is optimistic to thank them all. The rest give smiles at the people who support them, and people who fight with them.
Blaze saw Cipher standing at the distance with her brother who's waving at her. She runs towards them and immediately hugged them.
"We did it!" Gab said cheerfully. Cipher laughs and Mobius 1 pats her back.
"Damn right we did," Chris said. Then, her laugh turns to cry. Her dad became worried seeing her like this.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah." She said softly, wiping the tears away from her eyes. "I'm glad it was over. I can't wait to go home."
Cipher smiles gently and grasps her to a tight hug. He was so glad his daughter survives through all. Blaze's wingmen came up to her, Chopper snickers. "Hey, Kid. You don't want to give us some hugs?"
She laughs and looks at them, "C'mere then!"
The Razgriz embrace to a group hug. After how much they've been through, they all finally get to go home. Just in time after their group hug, President Harling and Prime Minister Nikanor arrive including Pops, Bartlett, and Major Natasha.
"Captain!" Nagase said.
"Well, well. From Nuggets to Aces, I don't have to say anything other than being proud of you, guys." Bartlett chuckles.
"At least we managed to outrank you." Chopper sarcastically said. Oh, he shouldn't have said that.
Bartlett snarled, "You bastard..." He locks his arms around Chopper's neck and rubs his head. They all laugh at the amazing sight to see. Later that, he releases him from his grip.
"So, what now?" Grimm asked.
"We have to meet with our parents first since they're so worried about us," Blaze said, which everyone agrees with her. "Then we can celebrate later tonight, especially with New year is coming!"
"And don't forget Grimm's birthday next week." Snow added, looking at Grimm who is laughing nervously. As they all have a peaceful conversation, someone approaches them.
A man in his late 30's, he's 6 feet tall, has Caucasian skin, short brown eyes that is greying, a beard, and a mustache. He also wears full military gear and a Boonie hat. And carries his SIG Sauer MCX.
"Sir!" He salutes to the leaders, Harling notices him and waves his hand slightly in return. Blaze smiles and reaches out her hand. "Captain Price."
"Gab. It's been a while." The captain said, giving her a firm handshake.
"Blaze, you know him?" Nagase asked.
Before she could answer, her dad did it first. "Let's just say she is part of the Special Joint Task Force before she joins OADF."
Everyone, except the leaders and her dad and uncle, shockingly look at her. Blaze whistles quietly and slowly look away. "You were what?!"
"It has to be kept secret, okay? I just got interested in joining the Task Force so I made a reservation before I became an authorized pilot so don't consult any further." Blaze explained.
"You could have told us before." Chopper said. Price shook his head in dispute, "Sorry, but it is meant to be kept secret."
"Anyways." Harling cut them off, changing the topic. "Is there something you need, Captain?"
"We managed to capture a few surviving Belkan pilots a while back. One of their leaders is dead."
"Which is Michael," Blaze muttered. "Where are they now?"
"At the corner, being interrogated by Ghost." He explained, and then sighs. "Hopefully, he doesn't kill them once I got back."
"I need to see them first before taking them away." Blaze said. "The others will stay here and take their time."
"I'm coming with you." Cipher declared.
"But dad-"
"I've known Ashley before. So I want to see him in person."
There was a moment of silence and Gab sighs in defeat, "Fine. What about you, Chris?"
"I'm gonna stay." He replied, "There's no way I'm gonna miss the food!"
"Speaking of food, I'm started to get hungry." Chopper mumbled, his stomach started to growl, earning a laugh from others.
"I'll see you guys later." Gab smiles as she and her father follow Price as they all went to where the captives are. As they arrived, unsurprisingly, they saw a man in a skull mask, buff and wearing a SAS uniform, jabbing one of the Belkans so hard that he knocks him out to sleep.
"Ghost!" Price yelled.
"Sorry, Cap. Tried my best to stop him." A man mid-30, same uniform as the others. Has shaved beard and a mohawk that Cipher wonders how he wasn't reprimanded for an illegal hairdo.
"Hey Soap! Ghost!" Gab waves her hand.
"Well look who it is." Soap chuckles, patting her shoulder. "Great work out there."
"Thanks." Then she introduced her dad to them. "By the way, this is my dad. Cipher, known as Galm 1 a.k.a. the Demon Lord."
"So you are her father." He reaches out his hand, "My name's Soap. SAS. Gab heard a lot of things about you?"
"Really?" Cipher chuckles and offers him a handshake. "I just found out that she was part of the Special Task Force a while ago. Just scolded her for not telling the truth."
"Did you whack her with a wooden spoon?" Ghost asked. Gab slaps his arms and gives an eyeshot, which he simply ended up snickering.
"So, you are the infamous Demon Lord." They all look at the Belka pilot that tied up, sitting on the ground. He is in his late '40s, clean shaved beard, dark grey hair, and a pair of dark brown eyes. Seeing his name and his squadron insignia on his uniform, they already realized who he was.
"Ashley." Cipher mutters but gains posture. "How does it feel getting shot down thrice?"
Ashley snarled, "Until now, you haven't changed. A same old demon who never shuts his mouth am I right, merc?"
"That was before," he said. Giving a glare to him, "I have changed a bit."
Gab went close to Ashley. She kneels in front of him and checks his wounds. He has bandages over his arms and the left side of his hips. Probably from the shrapnel of his plane after he got hit. She's a relief that there are just minor injuries.
Ashley recognizes her immediately by her looks. He was slightly irritated seeing the leader of the Ghosts of Razgriz kneeling in front of him, but he was curious and surprised at how much young and beautiful she is. Blaze wasn't bothered by it.
She glances at her father having a conversation with the other soldiers, which takes her chance to talk to Ashley. "Are you alright? Ghost didn't punch you of something, did he?"
Grabacr leader scoffed, "Why do you care? You want us to be killed, right? Even if you have ended the war, there will be another, and another. War is inevitable, and it will be. Am I right, Razgriz-"
"Gab. Called me Gab."
Ashley was confused when Gab suddenly interrupts him. Why does she have to say her nickname?
"And to answer your question. Yes and No." She answered. "War is inescapable. Nations who are proud of their guns, tanks, missiles, etc. are deprived of humanity. What is absurd and monstrous about war is that men who have no personal quarrel should be trained to murder one another in cold blood. I do not serve the government who never set foot on a battlefield, but the entire world for peace. So if some jackass decides to start the war, we will end it for good."
Ashley sat there in silence, listening to every word she spoke. Blaze is a soldier who serves no one but everyone. She respects them no matter what side they are on, and she fights to stop the war from going further.
Before she could say anything, Captain Price calls Blaze, "Gab! We've got company."
She looks where he's referring to. The sound grew louder as a CH-47 Chinook and an EH-60 Black Hawk flew towards their area. It slowly landed on the surface as the door opens, revealing several soldiers and a man in command. He's in his mid-'40s, greying brown hair, blue eyes, and a goatee. He wears a black leather jacket, white shirt, navy blue pants, and brown boots.
"Sulejmani..." Blaze mutters as she approaches his way. He's giving a hand signal by raising a fist and making a slashing movement on his neck with his hand.
"The hell is this?" She asked.
"It's the off switch." Milosz replied, "We're turning them over."
"To who?"
"Yuktobania."
Gab looks at her, shocked. "Prisoner swap?"
"It's one way." Given Sulejmani's words, Gab already understands that there's a high chance that they will be sent to Gulag after what have they done. She sighed and shouted, "Hand them over!"
Price nodded, ordered his men to give the Belkans to Milosz's unit as the Belkan's faces were covered by a sack, but not before Ashley made a glance at Blaze. They brought them inside the Chinook. Sulejmani taps Gab's back, smiling at her. "I'll handle this. Go celebrate with the others, you deserve some rest."
Gab smiles and gave him a salute before he went back to the Black Hawk and flew away with the Chinook. She watches them flying to the horizon as the sun finally shines on its last morning of the year. It is finally over.
Cipher walks towards her and wraps one of his arms around her shoulders, "Feels good to be alive, right?"
Gab chuckles, "Yeah."
"C'mon. Let's go and meet up with the others." His daughter follows him walking to the building to celebrate with the other people. Within the last day of the year, the Unsung War has finally sung, and the orchestra had come to a close
