(Umbara surface Tanya POV).

After retreating from the main road I gathered the officers both clone and spartan as we discussed our next plan with Kenobi.

"The capital is proving to be more stubborn than we anticipated and according to reconnaissance they are receiving more supplies by the Ton from an airbase to the north of your position." Kenobi says pointing out the base on the hologram.

"I see we easily have the troops to take the base but that's the problem. I don't have good intel about those areas to the north but I did send Weiss and a mage company to investigate.

Once I have a good understanding of what we're dealing with I'll commence operations to take the base." I reply firmly.

"Very well Marshall Degurechauf I leave the operation in your capable hands." Kenobi replies before ending the transmission.

I then turn to Rex and Sereberyakov. "I want you two to prepare to troops to advance but not too rapidly. I want to hear the recon report before any attack is to be made." I instruct.

Saluting both run to inform their respective troops as I see Krell glaring at me.

Giving him a sinister Grin I move in front of him.

"Any complaints General Krell." I say mockingly.

"No complaints Mam." He says growling before storming off causing me to glare in his direction feeling something was up.

After marching for several hours I see Weiss and his company land in front of me.

"Marshall we have news." Weiss says pulling up a holo disk.

"There's three enemy armored divisions with supporting artillery awaiting us just ahead and the airbase is packed with enemy troops."

Looking at the images I frown. "A direct assault would be suicide even with mage support we need a better plan." I say shooting down any former notion of a frontal assault.

"What if we implemented the strategy I sued during the mon Cala war." Rommels says stepping forward as I gesture for him to go on.

"If we send a force to the road connecting the air base to the capital our main force could advance more easily to take the base with lighter losses."

I smile liking this plan. "Excellent idea General Rommel and I have just the man to lead such an offensive." I say turning to Krell.

"You will command our forces and draw as many enemies to yourself as possible and if you deviate in anyways from this plan mark my words your journey through the force will come to an end." I say growling the last part out.

Nodding he runs ahead as Visha organizes 3 spartan divisions and 2 mage companies to follow him.

after Krell leaves with his small army I turn to Captain Rex and General Rommel. "You two take your best men ahead and try to find a more suitable location where we can launch an attack against the air base Once Krell draws away most of there forces."

"Yes mam." They say in unison as they gather a few men and race forward.

"Sereberyakov deploy another mage company to follow them from above but from a distance I don't want them getting killed." I order Before activating my comm. "Everyone else we are going to advance however stay in small columns that way we wont all be taken by surprise if the Umbarans attack."

A chorus of yes mams soon fills my comm as we begin our advance.

After marching for 5 Hours Rex comes running back to us breathing hard with only 2 of his clones and General Rommel.

"Rommel, Rex what Happened." I question.

"Am-Ambushed the enemy has dug in forces head to the west of the gorge and they seemed to be light armoured divisions mostly." Rommel replies.

"Since Krell is Battling them on the east so our only option is to advance along through gorge." I say worriedly.

an Hour earlier the mage company I sent with rex had informed me that the enemy still had 3 heavy artillery divisions in the gorge and now I was marching my men right into the mess and I feared the casualty numbers.

"Alright Rommel Take 3 more Spartan Divisions and the rest of the mages except the 87th Company I need you to see if you can break through the enemy's western lines. Rex Your men follow me and I'll send visha and 2 other mages ahead and if they can commandeer enemy star fighters it will give us the air support we need." I order calmly a stark contrast to my racing heart beat.

"Yes mam." They all reply as we enter the gorge as Rommel races off with his forces along with Visha.

Entering the gorge we are immediately attacked by caterpillar tanks but the 87th company wiped them out before they can do serious damage to us.

Continuing our march we are suddenly hit with massive Artillery explosions killing many troops.

"FALL BACK NOW 87TH COMPANY COVER THE RETREAT."I yell as my men fall back continuing to fire rockets and grenades at the tanks which do nothing.

Channeling my magic I fire an artillery spell that manages to damage one of the enemy walkers but it doesn't destroy it.

Looking up we all see the 87th company firing everything they got at the tanks but they do little to nothing as we continue to retreat.

(With Krell's army).

Krell was furious and he was more than happy to take it out on the Umbarans as he cut one after the other.

He had been demoted effectively and the Spartans under his command obeyed only their own and more than once threatened to kill him if he disregarded Tanya's instructions.

Furious with this turn around it only lit the dark side more within him as the Spartans Charged onwards.

'Soon these fools will know my power when I have their previous Leader under my heel and when they get wiped out.' He thought to himself smirking  as he sliced more Umbarans.

(Tanya POV).

Since we couldn't do anything to those tanks Rex approached me as I began to contemplate our next move.

"Marshal Degurechauf we have a plan." He says as echo and fives walk behind him.

"Tell me quickly." I reply a bit frantically.

"Echo and fives will head to the airbase and Commandeer star fighters since it's possible they can break through the Umbaran shields."

"Sounds good but hurry and Rex tell the men to continue our fighting withdraw." I order as I grab my rifle and jump back into the Fray.

As more Shells fell on us I saw my Emma morale basically plummet Discouraged we keep up our fighting retreat throwing everything we've got at the tanks but still doing nothing basically.

However as we continue to run we then hear engines of star fighters overhead looking up I smile as we see Umbaran fighters soar over us and wipe out the tanks.

smiling I turn to my men. "all troops CHARGE." I yell as we race forward our morale restored.

(Air base 3rd person POV).

The capture of the air base was swift as Rommel and Krell advanced and joined Tanya's forces in the base as her men begin a lock down procedure.

But Tanya was suspicious somehow the enemy knew their plan almost flawlessly and had the forces to resist three attacks at once.

Earlier the briefing had said that ten area the 9th spartan amey and 501st would be deployed to was more lightly defended with the air base supposedly being their strongest defense in the area.

But then Tanya had a thought one that seemed impossible but she had seen a lot that would be considered impossible so decided to look into it.

Marching into the command tower with Visha, Rommel and Rex she enters the large area and begins to glare at Krell as Tanya storms over to him.

"Care to explain how the enemy could've been so well prepared for our offensive here." Tanya questions. "Our briefing said there would only be light defenses here especially since the allied kingdom and the federation had large armies also attacking."

"Marshal are you accusing me of something," Krell says annoyed.

"I'm accusing you of nothing but be warned that it's all too coincidental that we were attacked so hard by an enemy who supposedly had no idea where we were going." Tanya says as she and her associates leave the room.

However Tanya's suspicions don't end there and one day later she was informed of Echo Fives and Hardcase taking fighters and attacking a Sepratist supply ship.

Only to be rewarded by Krell with a court martial.

Then he tried it have them executed but luckily Rex stopped it.

Finally as Rex and his men went off to kill Umbarans who were apparently disguised as clones only to find out they were men from the 212th battalion.

Once Rex returned and explained what happened to Tanya she was livid and prepared an appropriate execution for the traitor.

Storming into the citadel by herself she confronted Krell.

"General your men have defeated the Umbaran attack once again." Tanya says with fake enthusiasm.

"Very good what about those traitors." He demands.

"Don't worry I have Rommel handling it. But I had a question." She says as Krell gestures for her to go on only for a shock to erupt across his chest as he falls to his knees.

"Why'd you do it sir. Kill your own men and betray the republic." Tanya demands coldly.

"Because you all are weak and pathetic and the Jedi and earth will lose the war." He says coldly as Tanya stuns him as Visha and several clones run in.

"You got the recording." She questions as Visha nods as Tanya turns to the clones.

"Take him down I'll let you clones fiendish this traitor." Tanya says coldly.

Shortly afterwards gunshots are heard around the base as Krell the butcher of thousands is killed.

However the whole ordeal shook Tanya to her core and her trust of the galactic republic and Jedi continued to plummet.
