"Out of all the places in the world, you want to go BACK to your dads house. We were gonna go somewhere else Red" I said, slightly turning the ship so we would be going in the right direction.

"Well I want to do this now. Come on please?" She asked, using her puppy eyes, to which I wouldn't refuse.

Supposedly we would be there in 15 minutes, but we just took off, so it might be like 20.

"Red I know that visiting is important, but in not sure we can just tell him about me being.....".

"Oh" she said, looking puzzled and worried for a second, before turning back to me.

"Well I trust him".

"You do know?".

She threw a look of slight disapproval, and I smiled back at her.

"Laugh a little red. You look cute when you do".

She was dead quiet and frozen, leaving me laughing at her reaction. At first I started to panic, but then she smiled at me, and jumped to my arm.

"That was so sweet!".

"Ruby we might crash?!?!" I said, spinning the wheel back on course, and then throwing the auto pilot on.

"Phew. Hey Red can you be more careful next time?" I asked, her arms still wrapped around my arm.

"Sure" she said, and then quickly let go, slightly embarrassed at the incident.

"So. Why your dad again?" I asked, trying to move past that awkwardness.

"Why not right? Plus uh. Well......I kind of need a favor.....".

"Alright?" I asked, suddenly slightly worried about what she might ask.

"I uh. Well he kind of thinks we are......well......dating............".

Once again dead silence filled the cockpit, and I was kind of speechless. Is that awesome? Yeah, but she doesn't like me like that. Or does she? Yang does like to mess with people's heads....

"Uh alright. I'm ok with being your fake boyfriend for the day, but what does he think that?".

"I uh. I may have possibly....told him that so he would get off my back about finding a nice boy......".

"I see...." I said, and I felt my instincts and wit suddenly take over as I said "so does that mean you think I'm a nice guy?".

"Shut up".

"Aw is poor red embarrassed?".

"Maybe she is. Now shut up and drive".

I rolled my eyes and smiled, standing up form the chair and making my way out of the cockpit.

"Where are you going?".

"To tinker with something. I'll be back. Trust me this is worth it".

I then started towards one of the secret cargo holds, to some old work bots that have been deprogrammed. Going to my wrist computer, I turned on proxy, the ships AI system, and he turned on in the intercom.

"Yes sir?".

"I need you to download everything you have on reprogramming. And tell me how to do it in 5 minutes.....".

Later: 20 minutes later:

"(Y/n), we are here!".

"Right in front of the house?!?"

"No"..... she said, as if she wasn't telling the truth, trying to be sly.

"Ruby...".

"No.....".

"Red....".

"Alright maybe...."

"What!?!" I said, immediately springing up from my workstation of the robot, and smacking my head against its extended arm.

"No we are out of sight, but you should have seen the look on your face!" She said, holding her stomach in laughter.

"Yeah very funny"I snapped back, cracking a half smile as I picked her up with one arm.

"Put me down (Y/n)!" she said, hitting my back softly with light punches and kicks

"How are you so light?!"" I asked feeling like she was light as air, and carried her as I activated the robot.

I turned the on switch on and programed it to follow a beacon, putting that beacon on my wrist computer, and shifting my position with Ruby so she was slung over my shoulder. Her but was Almost the right next to my face, and I blushed slightly as I looked it. It was so. What's the word. Ah I know. Perfec-

"(Y/n)!".

Not being the sharpest of knives today, I smacked right into a wall, and then back up, continuing on like it was nothing.

"Why would you do that?".

"Cuz you would be funny?" I asked, getting another round of her beautiful laughter out of Red.

As we walked out of ship, the robot walked along with us, carrying a box full of supplies I thought Ruby's father, and Ruby for that matter, might like. It had weapon parts, tools, robot parts, robot manual, a spare scroll, and maybe so lien. How am I going to explain this? Well I'll have to find out myself later. Anyway, while still carrying Ruby, I walked up a small hill to the house, noticing the lack of other property, and the peacefulness of it all. There was a small dirt mound of sparring matches, and a garage that probably used to hold yangs bike. Everything seemed homely and cozy, just like my house back when it, well when it was a house. I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell, hearing someone tell they would be down in a minute. It wasn't until now that I realized that I had Ruby's but in my face, and I was about to meet her dad. In a desperate attempt to put her down, I flipped her back into both my arms, now having her bridal style, and as soon as I was about to put her down, the door opened.

"Should I leave you two alone for a bit?" The man asked, causing Ruby to blush as red as her cloak.

He was of a athletic slim build, blonde hair like yangs, but short and cropped, with a stubble blonde beard, some shorts, and a near sleeveless button down. He seemed kind of hipster to me, but then again, her daughters date was showing up to this guy's house in a fitted T shirt, armored leather jacket and jeans, so he probably thought bad boy was written all over me. Not the greasiest first impression.

"Uh no sir, we are fine" I said, putting Ruby down, but as I went to slip my hand away from her wait, she locked it their with a iron grip, almost scared for me to let go.

I quickly took the message, and smiled softly at her dad. He seemed kind of proud of himself, and invited us in, but stopped when the robot was their with a box full of loot.

"What's that?" He asked, leaning against the door, trying to be intimating, which was honestly working.

"A gift. Will do house jobs and such, lawn maintenance. Mundane tasks. It can also be a security droid, and that box is for you and Ruby-".

"Presents!" I heard Ruby say, jumping out of my arm and working on brining the robot inside with the box.

The father looked back to me, narrowing his eyes as if calculating me, and slowly held out his hand.

"My name is Tai, Ruby and Yangs father".

I took his hand and shook it, saying "my name is (Y/n). Ruby's uh...".

I completely forgot how to introduce myself. I think Ruby said something about me being her boyfriend, but I'm not sure. Eh fuck it. Hopefully will be eventually.

"Boyfriend".

"That took a long time".

"Because I was lost in your daughters beautiful eyes?" I said, trying very hard to surpass my wit and sarcasm, trying to make it not sound like a question.

He cracked a half smile, and stepped out of the way for me to walk in, and patted me on the back.

"You may just do fine".

"Really?" I asked, visibly excited at a chance in impress her father.

"No. But first, you have to impress him".

"Him?" I said, closing the door behind me.

"UNCLE QROW!" I heard Ruby shout, as rose pedals dashed past me, and the sound of her running into someone was heard.

"Hey kiddo...." I heard, and as I turned the corner, I saw someone I wouldn't think I would have.

"(Y/n)?" Qrow asked, his eyes widening as I felt my body stiff up, and he started moving forwards......
