Y/N POV

Here I stand seeing nothing but darkness and blood, blood...That's the only thing I see nowadays.... and him.

I see a man walking towards me. He had (h/c) hair and he looked young. He was probably my age, and he wore what looked like cybernetic armor.

A/N: Imagine him in Ripper Mode and without the eye patch.

I got scared when I saw that he had blood all over himself. I slowly walk backward in fear as he slowly approaches me.

(Y/N): Stay back!!!

The man said nothing as he continues to slowly walk towards me. The man took out a sword also covered in blood but it's also covered in lighting?!

(A/N): Imagine it's covered in lighting.

The man stopped and so did I, he chuckled and then all of a sudden, he vanished. I stood there for a few seconds mentally debating if what I saw was real. When I decided on it being my imagination, I turned around, but when I turned around, he was right in front of me. I didn't have time to react as he rammed his sword into my chest and I coughed up blood.

(???):HehehehehehahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

(Y/N): (weakly) W-why?!

I asked as he slowly raised his head, and I saw his eyes.

(????): LET ME OUT!!!

I shot straight up. I couldn't breathe. I looked frantically around looking at my surroundings.

I took a deep breath.

(Y/N): It was just a dream.

I lay back down and close my eyes as I slowly fell back to sleep.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I turn off the alarm.

(Y/N): (tiredly) Goddamnit!!!

I get up and I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and I put on my school uniform.

I exited out of my room to search for my mom and went to the kitchen to find out my parents aren't home.

(Y/N): Mom, Dad?!

I saw a letter on the refrigerator and I decided to read it.

Dear (Y/N),

Your father and I had to leave town for work for a couple of days so you're going to be alone for a while, I will trust that you will behave and go to school. Your lunch is in the fridge and you're father left you some money on the table. We will see you soon.

Mom and Dad

P.S. Don't tell anyone about your past

(Y/N): (chuckles) Of course they would say that. Welp, I should get going

But before I left I went back to my room to grab a suitcase that had my weapon in it.

(Y/N): I know I'm not supposed to but I feel safer with it by my side.

I never leave anywhere without my weapon, my parents always try to convince me to leave it home but I never listen.

Timeskip

Here I am standing in front of the school I will be attending.

(Y/N): So this is Fujimi Academy? I got to say it looks pretty nice.

I walk into the building to see no one there then I checked my phone to find it's 7:30.

(Y/N): (sighs) Great I'm late.

I could knock on one of the classroom doors but I'd rather not disturb them. I went outside to walk up the stairs only find a guy leaning on the railing.

???: (sadly) I cross my heart and hope to die. Yeah right.

(Y/N): (thoughts) I wonder what's up with him. (reality) Um, excuse me?

He turned around and looked me up and down.

???: I haven't seen you before are you new?

(Y/N): Yes I am, I'm (Y/N) (L/N) nice to meet you.

Takashi: Takashi Komuro say are lo-

???: What are you doing?!

We both turn around to see a girl with pink hair glaring at us.

Takashi: That's none of your concern.

???: Whatever.

She looked at me.

???: Who is he?

(Y/N): (smiles) (Y/N) (L/N) it's nice to meet you.

Saya: Saya Takagi, now why are you hanging out with this loser?

(Y/N): Huh? Oh, I kinda bumped into him.

She then looked me up and down.

Saya: (suspiciously) Aren't you supposed to be in class?

(Y/N): Yes but I'm new around here and I don't know where my class is also I didn't want to disturb any of the classes.

Saya: Give me your papers.

I did exactly that and she read it and gave it back to me.

Saya: What do you know you're in the losers class.

(Y/N): (thoughts) Oh well that's convenient.

Saya: Komuro can you stop acting like a loser for once and take him to his classroom.

Takashi: Sure.

Saya: Good.

She then walked down the stairs but then she turned to me and said.

Saya: Just an FYI just because your new doesn't mean you can be friends with me. I'm a genius and I know everything so don't get your hopes up about being friends with me unless you're a genius like me, got it?

(Y/N): Got it.

Saya: Good.

She walks away.

Takashi: Don't take it personally.

I turn to Takashi.

Takashi: She does it to everyone so don't worry I'm sure she likes you.

(Y/N): Noted.

We then had an awkward moment of silence until I decided to break it.

(Y/N): Soo you ready to head to class?

Takashi: (sigh) Yeah, let's go.

We were about to go to class until I saw some teachers at the gate.

(Y/N): Wait what's going on?

Takashi looked where I was looking.

Takashi: It looks like someones trying to break in.

We then see one of the teachers fall to the ground dead.

Takashi: What the?!

(Y/N): Holy shit!

Then we saw him get back up only to bite another teacher in the neck.

Takashi: Please me tell you saw that?!

(Y/N): Oh I've seen it alright!

We stood there for a few seconds until Takashi grabbed my arm and said.

Takashi: Come on!

Timeskip

We got to the classroom that we were running to and Takashi abruptly opened the door and we both walked in and a girl with brown hair spoke up.

Brown-haired girl: Komuro?

Teacher: Couldn't just skip class, could you? You had to disturb other's learning environment too!

Takashi then pulled the girl out of her seat.

Takashi: Come on we're getting out of here.

Brown-haired girl: W-What?

A guy with grey hair came up to Takashi.

???: What's going on, Takashi?

Takashi: Some people at the gate just got killed. It's too dangerous to stay here.

???: Seriously?

Takashi: What would I gain from lying about this?

Brown-haired girl: Back up! I swear I never understand what you're thinking-

*SLAP*

Takashi slapped the girl whilst me and the other guy stood there in shock.

Brown-haired girl: Wh-

Takashi: Shut up and listen!

Timeskip

Me, Takashi, the other guy, and the brown-haired girl we're running through the hallways.

Brown-haired girl: So are you guys going to tell us what's going on!

Takashi: Someone was at the school gate. When the gym teachers went to check it out, something happened. And now the gym teachers are killing each other.

Brown-haired girl: We're supposed to believe that?

(Y/N): He's telling the truth.

Brown-haired girl: How do you know and who are you anyway?

(Y/N): My name is (Y/N) (L/N) I'm the new transfer student, and to answer your other question I know because I saw it too.

She was shocked at the revelation.

We stopped at a janitor's closet and the guy opened it.

Takashi: What is it? Did you forget something?

???: If what you two said is true, then we'll need weapons.

He then turned to me.

Hisashi: By the way, I'm Hisashi Igou and you already met Rei it's nice to meet you.

(Y/N): Likewise.

Hisashi gave Takashi a bat and he gave Rei a broken broom with a sharp end.

Takashi: What about you?

Hisashi: I might not look like one, but I'm a black belt in karate.

Then they looked at me.

Hisashi: What about you?

(Y/N): Oh I already have mine.

Hisashi: Huh?

I then open up the case to reveal my weapon and I unsheathed it.

Rei: You brought a sword to school!!!

I sheathed my sword.

(Y/N): Yes I did.

Takashi: Awesome!

Rei: You're insane!!!

I got a little mad when she said that but I let it slide.

Hisashi: I actually have to agree with Takashi on this one.

Rei: What?!

Hisashi: But I'm curious why did you bring a sword to school?

(Y/N): Reasons, but I'd rather not talk about it.

Hisashi: Oh ok. A-Anways let's get out of here.

Rei: Let me call the police. My dad is an officer.

Takashi hands Rei a phone.

Takashi: Rules were meant to be broken, right?

Rei tries to call the police but no one answers.

Rei: (terrified) No way...

(Y/N): What is it?

She continues to look terrified.

Rei: The line is busy? No way...

Then the school speakers went off.

Announcer: Attention, all students! Violence has broken out on campus! Students should evacuate the campus according to their teacher's instructions. I repeat. Violence has broken out on campus! Students should evacuate campus-

The speakers went silent.

Takashi: No way...

Then speakers went off again

Announcer: Help! Save me! No! Help me! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Everything went silent. And then I spoke.

(Y/N): Oh this is gonna get bad.

And just as I predicted everyone started running out of their classrooms like a stampede of bulls.

Hisashi: This way!

Takashi: We aren't running outside?

Hisashi: Everyone's running out of the classrooms. We'll escape through the admin office!

Rei: Hisashi is always right. Just do what he says.

Takashi: I know!

(Y/N): Sheesh! What's her problem?

Takashi: Don't worry about it.

(Y/N): Whatever you say, man.

Rei: GUYS LET'S GO!!!

(Y/N)/Takashi: Huh? Oh, right!

We then proceeded to run outside and saw a person walking by.

Rei: Isn't that our Modern Japanese teacher, Mr. Wakisaka?

I looked down to see a bite on his ankle.

(Y/N): Shit, Careful guys he's been turned!

He then starts to walk towards us and tries to grab Rei but she backs up.

Rei: No! Go away!

Hisashi: Rei! Stab him!

Rei flinches when she heard that.

Hisashi: Don't hold back! Just do it!

The zombie then grabs Rei and is slowly pushing her down to the ground. Just when I was about to jump in and save her she pushed it off her.

Rei: Don't fuck with me! I'm MVP of the martial arts club!

She then strikes multiple times ended it with a stab through the heart. Takashi then yells.

Takashi: Yes!

But I knew it wasn't over.

(Y/N): REI GET BACK!!!

Rei: What? Why?!

She was too late to realize that it was still alive as it eventually through her against the wall. It stands over her and she grabs the broken broomstick and tries to pull it out but it doesn't budge.

Rei: No way! I pierced him in the heart! Why is he still moving?!

(Y/N): Shit, we got to do something!

Hisashi then grabs the zombie from behind.

Hisashi: Pull it out now!

Rei eventually pulled it out.

Takashi: Hisashi, get away from him!

Hisashi: Don't worry. I can take him.

The zombie then turns his head exorcist style and Hisashi tries to hold his head still.

Hisashi: Why is he so strong?

The zombie then bites Hisashi's arm.

Hisashi: ARGH!!!

Takashi: Let go of Hisashi, dammit!

Takashi then runs in and starts beating the zombie with his bat.

Rei: Hisashi!

Rei then runs and stabs it in the back.

Rei: Why? Why hasn't he let go yet?!

Takashi: I knew it...

(Y/N): It's just like in the movies he's dead but he's still moving.

The zombie then bites harder.

Hisashi: AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Rei: Hisashi!

(Y/N): (thoughts) I have no choice I have to use it. (reality) Guys, I have a plan!

They both look at me.

(Y/N): Rei grab Hisashi and pull him back!

Rei: Right!

She dropped her stick and tried to pull Hisashi out of the zombie's jaws.

(Y/N): Okay Takashi hit that son of a bitch in the head!

Takashi: Got it!

Takashi then ran and hit the zombie in the head and Rei pulled Hisashi back while the zombie staggered back.

(Y/N): Okay guys clear a path!

They stepped aside and I grabbed my sword and unsheathed it. And then I breathed in and out and everything started to slow down but it was still moving fast at the same time.

I then ran to the zombie and I slashed multiple times

(A/N): Skip to 0:16

After I kill the zombie I sheathed my sword.

(Y/N): (thoughts) Not as fast as my blade mode but it will do.

I then turned around and saw Takashi, Hisashi, and Rei staring at me in shock.

(Y/N): What?

Takashi: Dude how did you that?!

(Y/N): It's just an old sword technique I learned it's nothing special.

Takashi: Nothing special dude that was awesome!

Rei: Hisashi are you okay?

Hisashi: It's just a scratch. Nothing to worry about.

(Y/N): (thoughts) Idiot, don't lie you know you're not gonna make it!

My thoughts were interrupted by a girl screaming.

Random girl: No! Don't bite me!

It then bites her neck killing her in the process.

Takashi: We can't take on all of them by ourselves.

(Y/N): Let's head to the roof.

Rei: The roof?

Hisashi: We'll hide ourselves up there until help arrives.

(Y/N): (smirk) You took the words right out of my mouth.

We ran to the roof only to see that the city is in chaos.

Takashi: (shocked) What the...

(Y/N): This city has really gone to hell to hell.

Rei: (shocked) Everything was normal until a while ago!

Then a strong wind blew behind us pushing Rei but Hisashi caught her. We then turned around to see a fleet of Blackhawks flying to the city but I saw a logo that I recognized on the side of the Blackhawks

(Y/N): (thoughts) XOF? What are they doing here!

My thoughts were interrupted by Takashi.

Takashi: Who were those guys? I've never seen them before!

Rei then starts waving her arms yelling.

Rei: Save us!

(Y/N): Save your breath Rei they're not here for us.

Rei: How do you know?

(Y/N): Trust me if they were we would've been off this roof by now.

Hisashi: He's right they must be on some special mission or something.

Hisashi continued talking as I started thinking.

(Y/N): (thoughts) XOF wouldn't be here without a reason... What are you planning Cipher?

Once again my thoughts were interrupted by 'Them' heading our way.

(Y/N): Heads up guys we got company!

They all turned around to see a bunch of 'Them'.

Takashi then points to a set of stairs.

Takashi: Let's get up there. We'll block the stairs.

(Y/N): Good idea, let's move!

We then start running to the stairs slashing and bashing any of 'Them' that gets in our way.

We finally got to the stairs but I turn around to see Rei about to get eaten.

(Y/N): Oh shit Rei!

Hisashi: I got her!

Hisashi then grabs Takashis bat and bashed its head against the wall and it's body drops to the floor.

Rei: Hisashi!

Hisashi: You see that? You have to hit them in the head to make them stop.

Hisashi then noticed one of 'Them' coming up the stairs and he was about to move but I was quicker and I kicked it down the stairs cracking its head open in the process.

(Y/N): Let's get these stairs blocked off!

Takashi: You got it!

Timeskip

We finally got the stairs blocked off thank God but I'm worried about Hisashi he's not looking so good right now and if this is just like the movies then he might turn into one of 'Them' soon.

COUGH! COUGH! COUGH!

I looked to see Hisashi coughing up blood

(Y/N): (thoughts) It's starting.

Rei: Hisashi what's wrong?!

Rei: Takashi, (Y/N), Hisashi is...

Hisashi looks up so we can see his and man he doesn't look good.

Hisashi was taking very weak breaths.

Rei: But... Why... That bite was tiny...  Why has your condition so bad?

(Y/N): So it is like the movies... He's turning into one of 'Them' Rei.

Rei: No way! Stuff like that only happens in movi-

(Y/N): Look around you Rei everything that's happening right now is the same way it happened in the movies.

Takashi: As much as I don't want to believe it he's telling the truth.

Hisashi: ... (weakly) Takashi... (Y/N)... Help me.

(Y/N): Huh?

Takashi: Help you with what?

Hisashi then points at the railing.

Hisashi: (weakly) If I fall off from there. The fall will probably crush my head...

We stare at him in shock after what he said until Rei spoke up.

Rei: What're you getting at?!

Hisashi: I DON'T WANT TO BE ONE OF THEM!!!

He then starts vomiting blood and coughing violently.

Rei: Hisashi! Hisashi! No!

He vomited one last time until he spoke again.

Hisashi: Come on... Takashi, (Y/N), I'm begging you...

He looks up at us and smiles sadly.

Hisashi: I want to die as myself.

He then starts coughing again and then drops to the floor screaming in agony.

Rei: Hisashi! Why?! DON'T DIE!!!!

Hisashi stopped moving and Takashi and I both knew he was dead and Rei started crying.

Takashi: Rei, get back.

She then looked back at us with tears in her eyes as slowly approach Hisashi's dead corpse but Rei covers him.

Rei: No! You can't kill him! He isn't going to... He isn't going to turn into 'Them'! He's special!

Takashi: (Y/N).

(Y/N): I know.

I then pulled Rei away from Hisashi.

Rei: No! Let me go!

(Y/N): I'm sorry Rei.

Rei: No, he won't turn into one 'Them' just look!

Hisashi then started to stand up.

Rei: See! I told you Hisashi wouldn't die from-

Hisashi just stands there groaning.

Rei: Hisashi? What's wrong?

(Y/N): Shit he's turned.

Rei: (crying) No way. This isn't happening. There's no way.

Takashi readies his bat.

Takashi: This really is unbelievable. So unbelievable it's stupid.

Rei: Takashi.

Hisashi proceeded to walk towards us groaning.

Takashi: And yet...

A tear streams down Reis' face.

Rei: Stop.

My eyes turn red for a mere second but turned back to (E/C).

Takashi: ... IT REALLY IS HAPPENING!!!

Takashi then war cried and ran at Hisashi full force with his bat in his hand swinging it down on his killing him in the process.

Rei: NNNNNOOOOO!!!

....

....

....

....

Rei: Why... Why...?

(Y/N): He would've bitten you if he didn't.

Rei: I didn't ask any of you to save me. I didn't want to see him like! I would've rather get bitten by Hisashi and become one of them than live like this!

Takashi: I don't think he would've wanted that.

Rei: Oh please Takashi, what do you know? Oh right. Yeah, that's it. You must've really hated him! Since we were dating!

It took every fiber in me to prevent myself from punching her in the face but then Takashi started walking to the barricade and so did I.

Rei: Wait, where are you two going?

Takashi: I feel like I'm bothering you. So... I'm gonna bash some heads.

(Y/N): And I'm gonna help him.

He looked at me.

(Y/N): You're gonna need someone to watch your back.

He nodded and we continued walking to the barricade.

Rei: What? You can't do that by yourself!

We ignored her and we began to move the barricade.

Rei: (crying) Hey... Takashi... (Y/N)...

We continued to ignore her as we began to climb up the barricade.

Rei: (gasp) Don't!

She ran to Takashi and held him.

Rei: I'm sorry! I didn't mean what I said! I really didn't!

I instantly felt bad for her.

Rei: (crying) Please! Please stay here with me!

Takashi got down and hugged her and she hugged back. I eventually got down too and walked over to the railing and stared at the scenery for a little bit until I felt a pair of arms wrap around me surprising me I turned around to see Rei hugging me.

(Y/N): R-Rei?

Rei: Please don't leave me either stay here with me.

I looked at Takashi for approval and he looked at me and he nodded while smiling. I then turned around and returned the gesture surprising her.

(Y/N): (smile) Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.

....

Rei: ... (smile) Thank you.

(A/N): That's about wrapped it up for chapter 1 Oh man finally, well I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and I'm sorry that I haven't updated in a while I literally forgot that I was writing this story but don't worry it will not happen again and if it does I apologize in advance.
