Your POV

After I zoomed out of the gate I unsheathed my katana and started cutting off undead heads as I drove past them.

I eventually made it to the house the little girl and the dog were in. I went through the gate and jumped off the bike making it crash into several zombies killing them instantly.

I land on a zombie and stabbed its head killing it.

I turn to my left and I cut off another zombies head with a swipe of my blade.

I turn to my right to see another zombie lunge at me.

I retaliate by stabbing its head.

I hear a gunshot and then heard a thud behind me.

I turn to see a dead zombie with a bullet hole in its head.

I turn to the house I was in earlier to see Hirano on the balcony with his sniper.

He gave me a thumbs up and I nodded in thanks.

I see a couple of zombies coming through the gate so I grabbed a nearby crowbar and rushed to the gate.

I kicked one zombie, knocking it into the others making them fall like dominoes.

I closed the gate and locked it with the crowbar.

I turn to see a single zombie trying to grab the little girl so I rush over and stab it in the head killing it.

I pulled my katana out of the zombies head and I swipe my blade getting the blood off of my blade.

I sheathed my sword and I look down and I get a good look at the little girl and the dog.

The girl looked to be around 6-7 years old. She has purple eyes and has shoulder-length pink hair with bangs reaching down from the side of her temples stretching outwards, a mole under her left eye, and wears a white headband on her head. She is wearing a white jacket, a pink dress top, a light blue skirt, and black socks with shoes.

The dog who stood in front of her in a protective manner was a small puppy with a white coat and black ear flaps. He is also wearing a red dog collar with a bone ornament that hangs in the front.

The puppy was barking at me willing to protect the little girl.

I knelt down and scratch behind the puppy's ear making him stop barking.

He then jumped on me and began licking my face seeing that I wasn't a threat.

I chuckled in amusement.

(Y/N): (smiles) Okay down boy down!

I gently push him aside and my attention turns towards the little girl who has stopped crying and was looking at me.

(Y/N): You okay?

Little girl: Y-Yes t-thank you.

(Y/N): (smiles) No problem. What's your name kid?

Alice: A-Alice.

(Y/N): That's a beautiful name, my name's
(Y/N) nice to meet you.

Alice: (smiles) Nice to meet you too.

I looked at the body of the dead man on the ground causing me to frown

(Y/N): Was he your father?

She nodded sadly.

I get up and grabbed two things.

A flower.

And a white blanket.

I then knelt beside Alice who was kneeling beside her father.

I put the blanket over him covering his face.

I then handed the flower to Alice.

(Y/N): Your father tried to protect you. He was a brave man.

She took the flower and placed it on top of her father's body.

Alice: (crying) Daddy...

She then hugged me and began to sob into my chest.

Just watching her cry over someone she's lost is making me feel one thing.

Anger!!!

My focus went to the house in front of us.

Every part of me wanted to just go in that house and rip everyone in there to shreds, make them suffer for hurting this little girl!!!

But...

....

I won't...

....

I can't...

I calmed down and I just held Alice, giving her the comfort she needed.

After a few minutes, she eventually stopped crying.

I wiped away her tears and I held onto her shoulders.

(Y/N): Look, I don't what's going to happen next but I'll look after you from now on okay?

She had a look of surprise but she nodded in agreement.

Alice: What do we do now?

I look outside of the gate and see a horde of the undead blocking our way out.

(Y/N): We ain't getting out of here with the bike that's for sure.

Alice: Can't we just go above them?

I raised an eyebrow until I had an idea.

One moment later.

Right now me, Alice, and the puppy are walking along the wall keeping us at a safe distance from the horde of zombies below us.

Alice was on my back and the puppy is in my shirt with his head and arms sticking out.

There were a few times where the puppy began licking me but luckily Alice was able to stop him before it became a problem.

And then this happened...

(Y/N): Wait, what did you just say?

Alice: (embarrassed) I gotta pee.

Yep, you heard right.

(Y/N): Can't you hold it?

Alice: Um, no?

I sighed in defeat.

(Y/N): (thoughts) I'm so glad Quiet isn't here otherwise I wouldn't hear the end of it... and she can't talk! (out loud) Okay, just go right there.

Alice: Are you sure?

(Y/N): Yep, just promise not to tell anyone okay?

She nodded and not a second later I felt something warm running down my back making me cringe quietly.

While that happened a single zombie grabbed my foot.

I managed to pull away just in time before it dragged us to the street with the rest of its undead friends.

I kicked the said zombie making it fall to the ground.

We're surrounded.

As much as I hate to admit it but we are.

Just as I was about to lose hope I hear something coming our way.

I look across the street and what I saw brought a smile to my face.

It was the others in the Humvee driving towards us with Shizuka at the steering wheel.

They crashed into a couple of zombies killing them on impact.

Saeko jumped out of the roof and started crushing undead heads with her bokken.

She turned towards me with a smirk.

Saeko: Having a little trouble there hero?

I smirked.

(Y/N): You kidding? I had it all under control.

I really didn't but she doesn't need to know that.

She chuckled in amusement and then went back to killing zombies.

Back at the Humvee, Hirano came out of the roof and began blasting a few zombies with his shotgun.

Naomi came out of the roof behind him.

Naomi: Come on (Y/N) we need to leave now!

(Y/N): Got it!

I ran along the wall and then jumped onto the roof of the Humvee.

I put Alice down first and she went inside with Naomi.

I grabbed the puppy and put him inside with the others.

I tapped Hirano on the shoulder signaling him to get inside which he complied.

Saeko then jumped on top of the Humvee.

I gestured to the opening on the roof.

(Y/N): Ladies first?

Saeko: (smiles) Such a gentleman.

She climbed inside and then I went in after her.

Shizuka then drove us away from the horde running over a few more along the way.

I sighed in relief and then turned to everyone else.

(Y/N): Everyone okay?

They all nodded and then their attention diverted to Alice

Rei: (smiles) So, who's our new passenger?

Alice seemed nervous at the attention everyone's giving her but I put a hand on her shoulder which calms her down.

(Y/N): (smiles) Everyone, meet Alice.

Everyone introduced themselves individually causing Alice to smile.

Alice: Nice to meet you all.

The rest of the ride was quiet with everyone happy to still be alive.

(Y/N): (thoughts) We survived another night and despite everything, I think we were lucky tonight we were able to get some rest, we found a new means of transportation, we got more weapons, and...

My attention then went to Alice who was sitting on my lap on my right side with her head on my chest sound asleep with the puppy laying on her lap who was also asleep.

(Y/N): (thoughts) I think I may have gained a little sister in the process.

Takashi: Hey, (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Hmm?

Takashi: Why do you smell like piss?

Everyone (minus Alice) looked at me with raised eyebrows.

(Y/N): (thoughts) Shit!
