When I find you

*dialogue in deep palace is taking place in Aquatic

He tore down hallways, not caring that he wasn't allowed to be there. He had to find her. And to do that, he needed the one person left who cared. Coral. He ran through the deep palace, calling her name, when he Ran straight into Queen Anemone.

Scrolls tipped out of her talons, spilling everywhere. He recognized them as ones his grandmother had written. Queen Coral. Anemone stared into his eyes.

"I thought I'd find you here." Said Anenome. "I knew she was the first one you went to find" He nodded. She didn't punish him for being there, didn't say anything. She just nodded to a room to the left, and Ripcurrent dashed into it.

She was lying on the floor, bubbles streaming from her nose. She jumped up when she saw him.

"I'm sorry I walked out on you," he blurted, for he had never truly apologized. "Anyone watching could see you care about me. And Ash... I don't know what you had with him but it's in the past. I forgive you. But I need you to forgive me too." Their eyes bore into each other, his imploring, hers doubtful. But he knew she meant it when she said "I forgive you. Of course I do." They smiled.

"Then I need you to help me with something. Seastar has gone missing, my parents too. You're the only one left that I trust. I need you to help me find her. I don't know why she left, but I need to find her. I... I think it has something to do with why she didn't want me to  go with you."

"Of course I'll help you. But where do we start looking."

"The rainforest. Queen Glory and my mom are best friends. She'll let me search. From there, the kingdom of sand, and Queen thorn. Then... We'll have to see."

So they set off, for the second time. When I find you Ripcurrent thought, I'll make sure no one leaves me alone again. So hold on until I come. Seastar, you were never the one who felt left behind.

It took three days. But all the same, he found himself standing in front of Queen Glory, talons crossed respectfully. When he rose, he saw her scales were pink. She smiles warmly at him, or as warmly as she could. He'd known her long enough to know friendly wasn't her style.

"Ripcurrent! How nice to see you! And this is Anemone's daughter, isn't it? She's beautiful. How's Tsunami doing?"

"That's the thing your majesty. Seastar went missing, and when tsunami and Riptide went looking for her, they never came back. I need to search the rainforest." She stayed calm, but he saw the green creeping up through her tAil. She stamped it out with royal blue.

"Deathbringer? DEATHBRINGER?!" She shouted. He flounced into the room, and he saw a crown of vines on his head.

"You called," he said, laughing. Before she could respond, Coral burst in.

"are you two married!?" She squealed. This time, Glory actually smiled.

"Yes," they said together.
"Congratulations," said coral and Ripcurrent. They looked into each other's eyes, and he saw how deeply they loved each other. Glory cleared her throat.

"Back to the matter at hand. Deathbringer, Riptide, Tsunami, and one of their children have gone missing. I need you to alert the Nightwings while they search the villages. And... Before you ask, I'm fine." Deathbringer shot her a worried glance but flew off.

"You... You should go." She said to them. She and Tsunami had become closer over the years, and though she hid it well, he knew she was holding back tears. So he left her alone.

The RainWing village produced no results. The NightWings stared at him, but they had not seen Seastar either. He was about to give up hope, but then he heard the voices. It was an abandoned Nightwing hut, made when the NightWings first came.

"I love you." Said a voice it was Seastar.
"I love you too," said another voice, one he didn't recognize. He whispered something, and she laughed. Coral had one talon, surprisingly strong, gripping him. He didn't care. He burst through her grasp and ran through the door.

There was Seastar, in a tight embrace with a Nightwing. There snouts were pressed together. For several minutes, he watched them, in there own world, not seeing him. He knew Coral was behind him, anticipating his next move. Finally, he cleared his throat. She was not startled. She did not look afraid. Instead, all she did was lean back upon the NightWing, smile, and say

"Hello, brother."
