Tsunami grabbed Riptide's claw and they raced out of the throne room. The angry Queen ran after them, tearing through the Summer Palace. Tsunami had a flashback of when they had announced their marriage.
They dove into the water and zoomed towards the next island on the Bay of A Thousand Scales.
They resurfaced, laughing, as they collapsed into a pile on the beach.
"Running from your mother in fear of our lives. Just like the old days," said Riptide.
"You must really love me to put up with that," Tsunami joked. However, her face became serious.
"Riptide, the dragonet, it's a girl."
Riptide smiled and leaned into Tsunami's shoulder.
"What shall we name her? Pearl?" He asked. He tried and failed not to let her see him grinning.
"Too flashy."
"Starfish?"
"They get stuck on my tail, no."
"Seastar?"
"Yes," Tsunami breathed.
Riptide smiled. Their little Seastar.
