No One's POV

"Ayu, why the hell does it say on your page that you're... 'stressed, depressed, and food-obsessed'?" Tsukishima inwardly cringed, looking at his phone.
Swallowing her onigiri and taking another bite out of it, she replied, "Becwash awt is hawd, and ish stresshfuh,"
"Gross, don't talk to me while eating," he gagged, eyeing her, disgusted.
Gulping, she glared at him. "You asked, dino-boy."
"Whatever, you're so annoying. And short."
"You're so immature, Kei. Insulting me because you know I'm right," she rolled her eyes, "and I'm not short, you mutated lamppost."
"I am not a mutated lamppost, you're just a microscopic atom,"
"That's nice, I'm the building block of matter, and I can't be created nor destroyed,"
"Okay, you can shut up now," he snapped, "and by the way, you said something about art being stressful?"
"Aw, kouhai-kun cares for me~" she cooed, eyeing him playfully.
"I do not. I'm curious. There's a difference, imp."
"Well, technically, even if I tell you what my problems are, you're not gonna care anyways, or if you did care, which I highly doubt you won't, you wouldn't get my pain anyways since you're a volleyball player, and not an artist," she huffed.
"Congratulations, you got it correct!" Tsukishima snickered, pushing his glasses up.
"A-Anyways, Kei, you go on ahead. I'll get on with class. U-Um, enjoy morning volleyball, I guess," she told him, looking t the floor.
"Huh? Leaving so soo- oh," the tall, glasses-wearing, blonde said, looking at the gym which wasn't very far away from them. "Yeah, whatever. Do what you wanna do,"
"J-Jaa, ne,"

"Sumimasen," she spoke, knocking on the door of the Boys' Volleyball Club's clubroom, "is anyone there?"
Hearing a click, Hikari's ear perked up, her posture straightening.
"Ah, it's you, Hikari, was it? What do you need? Sugawara isn't here. Actually, I'm the only one here," Daichi welcomed, opening the door.
Frowning at the mention of her sworn-enemy's name, she grumbled, "I wasn't here for Sugawara."
It then hit the captain like a brick.
"G-Gomenasai! Hontou ni, gomenasai! I shouldn't have been so assuming! Please forgive me! I didn't mean to cause such trouble! I'm very, very sorry!" he bowed over and over again, apologizing deeply.
"Iie, iie, daijobu desu. But if you'll please, don't make such strange assumptions, Sawamura-kun," she notified him, sheepishly shrugging.
"It won't happen again!" Daichi promised, bowing a final time, "Anyways, what can I do for you?"
"Could you please give this to Kei? He asked me to bring him some of it the other day, so I did." she asked politely.
"Of course! I'll give it to him after practice. Anything else?"
"Nope. That would be all,"
"Alright. By the way, how are you? We never really talk in class, so... I guess I'm a little curious to why my best friend kind of, you know, despises you,"
Hikari laughed, a little bit shocked herself. "You know, Sawamura-san, you're my enemy's best friend, but you're not a jerk to me. I thought you'd treat me coldly like he does,"
"Why would I? There's no reason to hate someone if they haven't caused you any trouble, which in this case, you haven't. It would be biased to dislike someone for the sole reason of the tension between two people," Daichi explained.
"That's true. Thank you for that," she began, "and you asked how I was? I'm pretty good, thanks. You?"
"A bit stressed on the responsibilities a captain's got," he admitted, "you know, managing the team, whatnot. Has Tsukishima told you? Some of the other first years a little bit of a trouble,"
"Really, now?" she chuckled, "Kei hasn't told me much, asides from the usual 'I am burdened with staying with such a slovenly bunch' kinda thing,"
"Tsukishima's got some character problems, no doubt about that," he agreed, smiling.
"It's hard to befriend him at first, but he kind of just rolls with it soon enough," she nodded.
"I really hope he gets into volleyball more sometime," he said, "he'd make a really great player if he gave it his 120%,"
"Seems Kei-ish to play half-heartedly," she shrugged, "he's got his reasons."
"I'm sure,"
"Anyways, I think I've gotta go now, before anyone else comes. See you, Sawamura-san,"
"Yeah, you too, Hikari-san."

"Homemade shortcake, huh. Nice," Tsukishima snickered, nudging his friend playfully.
"You told me to bring you some! Did you share with Tadashi?" Hikari muttered, eyeing the blonde spitefully.
"He gave me a small piece, don't worry," Yamaguchi reassured her.
"A small piece?! You were supposed to half it! Didn't you read the note I put on the box?!"
"Yeah, but I got hungry,"
"You little-"
"Calm down, Ayu-chan. I let him have the bigger piece," Yamaguchi soothed.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Anyways, I heard that you guys were gonna eat dinner at my place?"
"Uh-huh. Namika-kaasan and Tamotsu-ttosan said we could eat at your house," Yamaguchi nodded.
"She's not there, right?"
"Both aren't there. He's at our grandmother's home, and she's away, remember?"
"Oh. So just us?"
"Yeah."

Once the trio had caught sight of Hikari's home, they quickened their pace.
Opening the gate, the brunette motioned for her two friends to come in.
She pushed open the doorknob, greeted by her fluffy black labrador.
"Chou-chan!" she cooed, bending down to hug the adorable dog.
"Konbawa, Chou-chan! Ojama shimasu," Yamaguchi waved, taking his shoes off.
"Ojama shimasu," Tsukishima muttered, also removing his shoes and placing them neatly at the doorstep, then heading to the living room, where he flopped down on the couch. "Ayu-chan, I want tea,"
"Hai, hai, you lazy home intruder," the girl sighed, grabbing two cups, then filling it with hot water and a few spices. "Need help with homework before I start preparing dinner?"
"You sound like a mom," Tsukishima sneered, eyes not leaving the screen of his phone.
"Shut up. My parents taught me to be helpful and hospitable!" she huffed, annoyed.
"Oh please. I can't ever complete my homework without you, okaachan-senpai," the blonde teased, putting a hand on his head dramatically.
"Urusai."
"Will do~"
"I'll help you out, Ayu-chan," Yamaguchi volunteered, heading over to where his friend was.
"That would be great. Thanks for helping, unlike some people. Here you go, Tadashi, Kei," she offered, handing her freckled friend a cup, placing the other cup on the coffee table in front of the couch. "Anything else?"
"Nope, I'm good, arigato na," the seaweed-haired boy bowed, sipping his tea after. "I'll help you chop those potatoes and carrots."
"Arf!" Chou barked excitedly, nudging her furry head on Tsukishima's leg.
"Kei, could you do me a huge favor and feed Chou her dinner?"
"Why me? Ask Yamaguchi to do it,"
"Because Tadashi's helping me cook! Come on, get your lazy butt off the couch!"
"Ugh, fine, whatever. Let's go, Chou, away from your mean owner who won't even feed your poor soul," Tsukishima mumbled, walking to the cupboard.
"You're not getting any dinner tonight, Kei."
"Let me starve then."
"Sure, I don't mind."
"G-Guys, please don't starve each other..."
