Somehow the OC is always a girl. The rest of the genders are vibing to Baby Shark in the core of the earth.

SCENARIO 1 

-Annabelle Eva Jude Tris Katniss Primrose Christina Emma Clary Jocelyn Chase, the long lost twin sister of Annabeth. 

-She is the daughter of all the gods of all the pantheons. 

-She defeats a million monsters all by herself. 

-She passes out, like, a million times.

"Hi, my name is Leo Valdez." 

"OMG LEO MARRY ME AJFSHASKJFKSA *faints*"

"Welcome to Camp Half Blood."

"ASDASKAJSFSKAFKS *faints*"

"Chiron is letting us order pizza today!"

"OMG PIZZA, MY LOVE. Ahem- after Leo, Percy and Nico, of course. ADSKJAHKSJHFKAJ *faints*"

"*chapter ends*"

"ASDFDDFGHHGDFG *faints*"

-She considers herself "ugly" when she has perfectly perfect facial features. 

(Check the authors' note at the end of the chapter for more context)

-She is "fat" despite having a size 0 waist.

(What a problem with such an OC is that it forgets to spread the essence, or the true meaning, of respecting every body size. Body positivity has pretty much lost its true meaning over the years so the most we can do is respect every body type.

Unless you're writing a story solely focusing on a person coming to terms with their body, of course. Even then, addressing this topic in such a manner, may not be the best way forward and we would request you to reconsider what you're writing and try searching up about it *FROM TRUSTED RESOURCES* a little first.)

-No dresses and makeup because that's not quirky enough. She doesn't want to be like other girls. How boring is that? 

(Again, there is no problem in not wanting to wear makeup, but at the same time, you can't put people who like wearing makeup down. It's their body and their choice of what they want to do with it. Maybe your OC can not like makeup and has no hate for people who like putting it on. Or vice versa. That's a good choice. However, hating on either side of it is wrong.)

-Somehow, her hair never gets ruined in battle. 

-Brown and hazel eyes- sorry, ✨orbs✨ don't exist with OCs like her. There's a huge chance she has pink, gold, silver, black, green, blue or multi-coloured orbs.

(Having rare eye colours is pretty cool, but it's maddening how people with brown eye colours are often considered unattractive for having a common and "basic" eye colour. All eye colours are beautiful and all eye colours deserve representation and to be treated the same way because come on, it's literally just a melanin difference. Having a non-brown eye colour doesn't make anyone any superior (and vice versa). This is especially important when talking about characters of colour, who naturally have higher melanin than, say, white characters. Of course, it is not like people of colour DON'T have any rare eye colours, however, if you want to represent a specific type of POC, it is always preferred if you don't give them eurocentric features if they happen to be the ONLY character of that particular race.)

-The whole camp fawns over her. 

-She dates either Percy or Leo or Nico, 'cause Annabeth, Calypso and Will were yeeted into Edom and were captured by Asmodeus. 

-She defeats Kronos, Gaia, Tartarus, Kampê and every mythological monster ever in like one second. 

-And then she gets a paper cut and faints.

-Eventually, she gets married to either Percy, Leo or Nico and they have a billion children.

SCENARIO 2

-Persephone Taryn Vivienne Nicasia Helen Aline Isabelle Jackson. 

-Twin sister of Percy. 

-Dates Leo or Nico. 

-Blessed by all gods. 

-Has a sword which turns into a bracelet 

-Too cool for school *insert lip bite emoji*

-Annabeth and her are besties. 

-Perfectly perfect person.

-Has PTSD for no reason 'cause that is "quirky".

(Having PTSD as a demigod is probably a common occurrence, however, romanticizing it to make it look like it is some cool thing to have is unacceptable. Having PTSD is NOT a trend. It is not going to make you automatically cooler.

If you're writing about a character having PTSD, make it sound genuine at least. Include symptoms, after-effects and PROPER reasoning behind it. Not "Oh their father was abusive. End of story." How was their father abusive? How has this been affecting them in daily life? What have they been doing to improve, something which might encourage the readers to take care of themselves as well? How can you reach out to your readers through your made-up character by explaining a certain situation they've been in and its solution to a healthier lifestyle that doesn't include drugs, physical harm, suicide and other harmful methods?)

SCENARIO 3

-Dark Ebony Black, daughter of Hades.

-Every single tragic thing that could ever happen to a person has happened/ is happening to her.

(Unrealistic trauma is not quirky or relatable. It is physically impossible for them to have gone through every single terrible situation in existence (solely because they are a child of Hades) and then have little to no after-effects and symptoms.

Try searching about sensitive topics before including them in your story/character. Having outside opinions is always a great option as well.)

-Her trauma is more than every demigod's combined. Without a proper explanation, mind you.

-Is, obviously, an "outcast".

-Extremely introverted. So introverted that it makes true introverts feel like extroverts.

(Being anti-social or extremely introverted is not necessarily a bad thing to give to your character, however, when it brings back a stereotypical image of what a Hades kid would and should look/act like, it becomes... weird? It also leads everyone to misinterpret Nico's actual character and completely ignore Hazel because she doesn't usually fit into this mould created by some (and also because she isn't "pale" which is a whole story for later).)

-Only listens to emo or punk. All other genres are disgusting in her opinion.

(Liking one genre is, once again, not a bad thing, however, downright rejecting other people's taste to make yourself look "cooler" because you like emo music is not an ideal character trait.)

-Somehow manages to live happily ever after.

(Again, what we mean by this is that there is literally no healing from everything the character has been through. Every traumatic thing just seems to go poof by the epilogue, which is unrealistic. Again, we urge you to search up sensitive topics first before writing anything.)

SCENARIO 4

-Every author's personal favourite: the child of Artemis.

-Luna Moon, the forbidden daughter of Artemis suddenly exists, because Artemis thought, "Hey, let me suddenly have a badass quirky child with a random person, despite spending millennia trying to stay a virgin goddess and never letting my guard drop even for a second, bestie or nah". 

(What is also terrible about this is that it is disrespectful to the actual goddess and her beliefs, so it is STRONGLY advised you don't make such content.)

-Arrives at camp and everyone rushes to help. 

-Dates Percy or Nico or Leo. Again.

-"Oh shut it Karen, it's my turn to save the world, even though I've hardly had any training" *dramatic music* *does a cool move* *faints for plot convenience*.

-Wakes up with said boyfriend tending to her 'cause, the Apollo cabin, Chiron and any person with any healing knowledge at all is playing with Juniper and Grover's 2.5 kids. 

-Angst 

-More angst 

-A gift box of angst 

-Did we mention that bucket full of angst looming on top of your head?

-Kiss. 

-More kiss 

-Something more than just a kiss. 

-Lives happily ever after with 10000 kids.

*Important note: "The perfect features" mentioned in the chapter refers to the harmful and stereotypical views of the society of what a person, especially a woman, should look like. The OCs tend to describe their features like they are the most beautiful thing ever, and probably falling into the harmful body standards, and then proceed to call themselves ugly.
