*3rd POV*

They were in Rio now. They were in Tulio's car. Blu was in a cage behind Linda. Blu hid in the cage, scared, but he perked up as he heard birds squawking. He smiled. As Tulio kept driving, Linda put sunscreen on.

"Your turn, Blu. You don't want to get beak-burn." Linda said as she put it on Blu's beak. Blu didn't wipe it away. Tulio stopped and Blu yelped as people wearing masks came over. "Whoa! What's going on here?" Linda asked confused.

"You arrived in time for Carnaval." Tulio told her. "Carnaval?" Linda aske confused. "Yes. It's the biggest party in the world. You know, a time to have fun and dance." Tulio said as he danced and imitates rhythmic drumming.

Linda laughs. "Oh, my! Is she a performer?" Linda asked watching a woman dance. "No. In fact, she's, my dentist." Tulio said before honking the horn. "Dr. Barbosa!" Tulio said waving and standing up.

"Oy! Don't forget to floss, Tulio." Dr. Barbosa said before laughing. "You got it!" Tulio said laughing before sitting back down. "Come tomorrow night, everyone will be dressed like that." Tulio said smiling.

Linda chuckled. "Not me." Linda said smiling. "Oba, la, la, la, ya. E, e, ei!" Blu heard and stuck his head out to see a yellow canary and a red-crested cardinal. "E ai? Tudo bom?" The yellow canary asked. 

"Oh. Um, oh, right. Uh, yeah. Aah!" Blu said before he picked a book up but dropped it. "Uh...I am not from here." Blu said slowly, hoping they could understand him. "Hey, Nico. He's a tourist." The red-crested cardinal said.

"Funny, you don't look like one." Nico said. "Really? I...I don't?" Blu asked confused. "Except you got pigeon doo-doo on your nose." The red-crested cardinal said. "Oh, oh, oh, no, this is just SPF 3,000." Blu said wiping the sunscreen off.

"So, are you here for Carnaval?" Nico asked smiling. "Oh, actually, I'm just here to meet some...a girl." Blu said. "Oh, a girl!" Nico said, thinking that he would never find love, but wanted to help someone else. "Yeah!" The red-crested cardinal said smiling. 

"Little word of advice: you make the first move. Brazilian ladies respond to confidence." Nico said as the red-crested cardinal faked fell and Nico caught him. "Oh. Right." Blu said. "Yeah, it's all about swagger. You got to puff out that chest. Mmm! Swing that tail. Eyes narrow, like some kind of crazy love hawk." The red-crested cardinal said before squawking.

"But first, we got to bust you out." Nico said. "What?" Blu asked confused. "Yeah! I'm-a pop that cage open like a soda can." The red-crested cardinal said. "No, no, no. Whoa!" Blu said as the red-crested cardinal slammed into the cage.

"No, no, no, that's okay. Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Blu said before the red-crested cardinal stopped slamming into the cage. "You call that popping?" Nico asked confused. "Whew. This thing's robust." The red-crested cardinal said

"No, no, no. No, guys, really, I'm fine. The cage is great. Love the cage." Blu said hugging one of the bars. "Ta bom. Suit yourself." Nico said before flying off. "Hey, don't forget, love hawk." The red-crested cardinal said before squawking.

"Benvindo!" Nico said. "Yes. Yes, ben... *stammers* And...and to you, as well." Blu said as they drove off to the clinic. When they arrived, they were allowed in. "This is the heart and soul of our aviary, our treatment room." Tulio said before imitating birdcalls.

"They really like you." Linda said before some flew past her. "Oh!" Linda said before chuckling at what she was seeing. "A lot." Linda said as a lot of birds were on Tulio. "Yes. I'm their great, big mama bird." Tulio said before putting seeds in his mouth. 

He opened his mouth as a bird landed on his lip and began eating the seeds. "Ew." Blu said disgusted as what he was seeing. Linda chuckled. "Wow." Linda said amazed. "Want some?" Tulio asked as he came over with his mouth opened.

"Ah! Oh, I'm good." Linda said backing away a little. A bird was trying to ich his back in a cast, and a doctor noticed and scratched it for the bird who was relieved. "Many of the birds here were rescued from smugglers." Tulio explained to Linda as they walked.

"Smugglers?" Linda asked confused. "Yes. And, unfortunately, the poor birds are often hurt or even killed in the process. But with proper care, they can be saved. Look here. This poor guy was found last night." Tulio said going over to cockatoo who looked horrible. 

It made a weak squawking noise. "Hey, buddy. You're looking great today. Much better. Much better." Tulio said before petting him then continued to walk with Linda following. "Get well soon." Blu said to the cockatoo who looked at him a glare.

"Oh." Blu said softly noticing. "So, where's Jewel and Izzy?" Linda asked. "Oh, we have a special place for Jewel and Izzy. They're very spirited birds, even if Izzy is a yellow canary." Tulio said causing a doctor to turn around with a groan. 

"I'll say." He said with injuries all over his face. "They did that? Oh, charming. Okay, I want to go home now." Blu said but they heard him squawking instead. Linda looked at him worried. "No, no, don't worry. I'm going to make you look irresistible." Tulio said.

Blu was pushed into the cage with his hair all poofed. Blu pants. He turned and banged on the door. "Help! Help! Let me out of here!" Blu yelled before seeing his reflection. He gasped and fixed it. "Linda!" Blu shouted.

Linda and Tulio were watching this on a screen, and they saw him squawking. "Maybe I should--" Linda said getting up about to check on him. "No, no. Give it a chance." Tulio said before pressing a button.

The lights began coming on and Blu gulped as he looked around. He walked across a branch. "Hello? Whoa!" Blu said as he almost tripped. "Hello?" Blu asked before hearing something causing him to gasp.

"Uh...I come in peace." Blu said looking around before gasping as he saw two flying figures in the light. 'Whoa. She's beautiful.' Blu thought as Jewel and Izzy were flying in front of the light. 'What were they talking about? She's...she like an angel.' Blu thought as they were getting closer. 'Angel who are getting really close...Aah!' Blu thought as both birds tackled him. 

*My POV*

Jewel and I tackled the bird, and Jewel had her legged against his throat. "Quem e voce? Que esta fazendo aqui?" Jewel and I asked. He was gagging and spoke, but we couldn't hear him. "Que?" We asked.

"You're standing on my throat." He said in English. "Oh, you're an American." I said surprised as we let him up. He cleared his throat. "Thanks. I need my throat for talking, so thank you." He said as me and Jewel circled him confused onto why he looked like us.

"You look like me." Jewel said as we looked up at him. "Oh. Uh, hi." He said holding his foot to us. He cleared his throat. "Hi. My name is Blu. You know, like the cheese. With the mold on it. You know, that smells really bad." Blu said but Jewel and I just kept looking around.

"That's stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid." Blu said before hitting himself in the beak. "All right, come on." I said. "We don't have much time." Jewel said as she grabbed his wing. He chuckled nervously. 

"Whoa!" He said as Jewel pulled him as we ran. "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait." Blu said before groaning as he ran into a branch. Jewel and I flew up into the air. Blu climbed his way up with the things in the trees.

Jewel and I appeared before him. "Are you ready?" Jewel asked as we smiled. "For what? Oh, oh, wow. Uh, okay." Blu said before Jewel walked away. "Confidence." He said before inhaling. "Crazy love hawk." He said and I swear I've heard that before.

He walked over to Jewel. "Alright." Jewel said before he tried kissing her. "Whoa. Hey!" I said. "What are you doing?" Jewel asked pushing him back slightly. "What? What...what you wanted me to. But, just for argument's sake, uh, what are...what are you doing?" Blu asked.

"We're trying to escape." I said as I moved the leaves to show a vent. "Oh. Uh, yeah, escape. That's-that's where I was going with that thing I just did." Blu said before we figured it out. "Wait. W-w-w-wait." I said holding my wing up.

"Did you actually think we were going to kiss?!" Jewel asked. "No. It's not what you think?" Blu said. "We just met!" Jewel shouted.

*3rd POV*

On the camera, they saw the females screaming at Blu, well more like squawking. "Oh, my." Linda said worried. "I think they need a little help." Tulio said. 

*My POV*

"I mean, I know how my feathers look, but I'm not that kind of bird." Blu said before a disco ball came down. "Say you, say me..." A male singer sang. "Okay, I had nothing to do with that. But, huh, you have to admit it's actually a pretty good song." Blu said.

Jewel and I looked at him with disbelief. "Naturally. Yeah, sing it, Lionel." Blu said before we both tackled him. We fell to the ground and when Jewel tried to strangle him, he ended up dipping her by accident. I watched from a rock with a bored look.

*3rd POV*

"Wow. That was fast." Linda said as they saw Jewel pull Blu into the leaves, hiding them. "Lionel Richie works every time. We should probably give them some privacy." Tulio said as he and Linda left the room.

Tulio closed the door quietly. "I'm not so sure I should leave Blu here alone." Linda said unsure. "Oh, no, no, no. Don't worry. Sylvio will keep an eye on them all night." Tulio said and gestured to a man who straightened up.

A fly was heard, and he threw a pencil at the fly, causing it to stab into the wall and killing the fly. Linda stared in disbelief. "Besides, he's got Jewel and Izzy." Tulio said before wrapping his arm around Linda and leading her away.

*My POV*

I watched as Blu ran as Jewel pecked his head with her beak. Blu grunts in pain as he kept running. He ran back around and yelled out as Jewel fly by him, causing him to duck quickly causing Jewel to miss and yell out as she almost flew into something.

He ran into a bush, causing Jewel to fly the other way not to crash into anything. "Help me!" Blu shouted into the camera before Jewel tackled him causing the camera to cut out a little as I kept watching all of this play out.

*3rd POV*

"Boa noite, Rio! This is the final countdown to Carnaval! Let's samba!" A man on the radio said before a song came on and Sylvio began dancing to it. He ripped his shirt and pants off showing some gold type of clothing.

He was dancing while holding his keys. He heard something fall. "Huh?" He asked as he turned around to where the sound was. He held a flashlight and walked into a room where all the birds were supposed to be. 

He looked down and saw the cockatoo from earlier next to a broken thing of glass. "Aw." Sylvio said as he went towards the cockatoo and picked him up. "Come here, poor little birdie. Aw. It's okay. I got you. I got you." Sylvio said as he held the bird high enough to his mouth.

Suddenly the cockatoo shoved a cloth over his mouth causing his screaming to be muffled. But in the end, he ended up on the ground unconscious. The white cockatoo landed on his stomach. He grabbed the keys and flew off to the door. He opened it letting someone in.

*My POV*

Jewel and I were using rocks on the vent to get out. I heard Blu groan. "Excuse me. Please. I am trying to sleep." Blu said to us and we got annoyed. "Oh, I'm sorry, sleepyhead. We're trying to escape." I said before throwing the rock down and tried to fit my head through the small part we got open.

I grunt. "Escape? Why? This cage is awesome." Blu said as I grunt pulling my head out. "This cage..." I said before Jewel, and I laughed. "Oh, what was I thinking? We wouldn't expect a pet to understand." Jewel said to him as we kept messing with the vent.

"Pet? Did you just call me a pet? For the record, I am not a pet. I am a companion. And you know what? Do whatever you want, 'cause tomorrow morning, Linda will come for me and this whole nightmare will be over." Blu said before covering himself with a leaf. 

"Incredible." I said sarcastically as we flew down to him. "You would rather be with a-a-a human than with your own kind." Jewel said as we looked at him angrily. "Well, that human has given me love and affection for the past 15 years, whereas my own kind tried to strangle me after 15 seconds." Blu said covering himself again.

"Yeah, well, because of them, we've lost everything. You can't trust them." I said before we gasped as we saw the door open. "Of course, you can trust humans." Blu said but we ignored him flying to the door.

We grunt as we were caught by a human. "Jewel? Izzy?" Blu asked before a human stood in front of him, he looked up at the human. "Oh. Hi there." Blu said smiling before a bag was thrown over him, blinding his vision.
